It was merely a matter of time....yes folks, I knew it then that it was just a matter of time when greed and corruption resulted in this carnage !Now even our good DPM comes out screaming "the government will not be issuing any more permits for hill-side developments" following the tragedy in Bukit Antarabangsa early this morning. (read here ) It's a little "too late too little", ain't it Mr. DPM ?
What took you so long ? Surely even the common people feared this was going to happen sometime sooner or later and it did ! Didn't we learn anything from the Highlands tragedy many years ago, where even up till today those "homeless owners" are still paying-off their bank loans ?
Corrupt local authorities, unchecked and acting like war-lords, in Ampang have this unwarranted deaths on their heads...but hey, who cares, yes ?
When even an ounce of under-hand dealing takes place......it creates a chain of other corrupt "domino-effect" practices that follow suit, right ? And this has gone on for decades by the authorities ! Because how can the approving council members who have helped themselves to kick-backs and pay-offs for years, bark for stringent engineering and architechural finishings ?
So in the end it is us suckers who grieve at our loses of near and dear ones and property too whilst still paying off mortgages while the fatted and corrupt contractors, engineers and local authorities purchase faraway grand and grounded properties with their ill-gotten gains ! And they live happily ever after ! Sheeesh !
It is this hypocrisy and corruption that pisses me off !
It is indeed a sad day for Malaysia and to hear it from the DPM now does not and will not make things right for the families of victims ! So help me God !

Very ironical indeed. In the first place, which idiot allowed high rise buildings on hillslopes? No prizes for guesssing. Umno. I rest my case. Umno, the saviour of Malays, has destroyed the trust of the nation by colluding with greedy developers. How many people must die, how many houses must collapse before Umno finally owns up to its stupidity, lies, idiocy, bigotry?

One particular statement by the hon.PM-in-waiting(???) especially had me nauseated .... "I hope that developers will not lobby the government to approve delopment projects on high risk hill slopes...". What was that about? Govt cannot say no if lobbied by cash wielding developers???
My suggestion is to make the entire Cabinet live on those hillslopes. Maybe then, we will see some action taken against errant developers, consultants, district officials, etc. And maybe then there will no longer be buildings erected precariously on water catchment areas.

Now that is a capital idea. Yes we get all government quarters for higher ranking and those in the cabinet live on these hills. And if disaster strikes then we can say, even "mother nature" thinks they are no lost to civil society and not fit to serve the rakyat.

What the DPM is saying now sounds so shallow and lame and this disaster is the product of in-bred corruption within UMNO. Why point fingers now when all the while those fingers were deep in their pockets clenching the kick-back ringgits from the lobbyists, yes? This is an open confession of who actually determines the projects awarded, accidently let out of the bag by Najib....tsk,tsk,tsk

Perhaps you are a BN apologist in denial and suggest it was all the doings of a govt that is 6 months old. You must be a moron to think the contracts were awarded in the last 6 months. These developments that are now on-going were signed a couple of years ago la, during that "botok" immigrant's son's reign . Where have you been huh ??? Don't be so duh ! Anyways even if the Pakatan buggers screw-up they will not be spared the wrath from me. We are talking human lives here boy ..........and nobody will be spared and without fear and favor too !
