Calling Khalid....once....

It was shameful of the police "boss" one OCPD Junaidi, barking orders at a seemingly innocent crowd to disperse at the 15th. candle-light vigil at the PJ Civic Centre last night. Below I produce some photos from as early as 7: 55pm. starting with the "pot-luck" shared by the vigiliers to the bullying arrogance displayed by the police and the frustration endured by us, tax-paying rakyat.
...a section of the crowd(below) and the array of food(above) around 8:00pm......
...then the food was spread out on mats on the pavement for the vigiliers to feast on later.....
...and around 8:10pm, the crowd swelled...
...and the police too snaked their way in stealthily into the crowd ...
...and this OCPD,(now known as Khalid's "boss") Junaidi's voice barked through the loud-hailer to disperse immediately ....or else...
...Haris begging for calm amidst protest from the many who had come to share their food with their fellow brethren....
....councillor Richard (right) appealing for time and for reason from this plain-clothed cop, who in my opinion was clever enough not to be in uniform (special branch, perhaps !) but seem to be actually in charge of this operation.....
...notice the heavy armour.....will we really want to fight these goons bare fisted or with a candle for weapon ? Sheeesh !
...time-check...and time to move out to.....
....to Lotus Restaurant (read, private property) across the road, we were herded in.....
...to part-take in a simple meal shared with fellow citizens who have all come to oppose the dreadful and draconian ISA.....
....the crowd offered to buy drinks and the management was kind enough to arrange tables for the food to be laid...
...as another peaceful vigil was hijacked by the very persons whose salary we pay ! Puuuuit !
My call is for Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim. Where are you Khalid, the Menteri Besar of Selangor ? Is this how you turn your back on your rakyat ? Did you know that the OCPD of PJ is your "boss " ? He certainly seem to be wielding more power then you, Khalid ! Why was there no permit applied and issued even when you knew the police were there in the compound of your majlis last week to stop the 14th. candle-light vigil ? Do your "aduns" actually tell you what's happening on the ground ? Have you forgotten your pledge and responsibility to the rakyat so soon ? Or is the black-mail of a certain "Guthrie" story that's making it's round on the ground a threat to you to take a pro-active action ? Surely you don't want to disappoint the rakyat, right ? You for one should know the wrath of the rakyat, when push becomes shove, yes ? I need answers, and fast now ! Consider this a first call.....

Hi Stephen, this is the second week the police show off their power and arrogance to us peaceful people. but no matter what, sheer intimidation will not put us off, in fact, we were peaceful people gathering with permission by the MBPJ. I really don't understand what's in their mind.

Next time I will try to throw some red oranges at K 9 face. These bloody bastards are under orders from umno to create hatred among peaceful rakyats.
We have to find ways to stand up to this bastards K 9.

Stephen, for once Menteri Besar Khalid Ibrahim has a valid excuse. He has been in Alor Setar to iron out a common platform for all 5 Pakatan MBs. I do not know what happened to our other KL and Selangor elected reps.
Thanks however to the three MBPJ councillors who attended, including YB Richard Yeoh. These guys really deserve to be there.
See you next Sunday!

Oh I get very angry with those lawless and shameless goons harassing peaceful and innocent rakyat.

Those twisted goons should be roasted properly, or at lest hamstrung them.

I don't think it is fair to drag in Khalid at this stage.
We have some uncivilized dogs working for UMNO. Dogs are obedient to their masters. Lets see what Khalid has got to say.

If we want to win we must not depend on others-the MPs or ADUNs. We stand on our strengthS AND COME WHAT MAY THE END STATE ISA MUST BE ABOLISHED.

I had planned to be at this particular vigil, mainly to add my physical presence to the moral support I've been giving since the Abolish ISA movement began. Especially since we just won the KT by-election I knew there would be a festive spirit. But my wife wasn't feeling well & I didn't want to leave her alone with our boy, so I SMSed Lita (who's become a regular) to say I wasn't going to be there - and that's when she told me the cops were ordering everyone to disperse, potluck, mats & all! Boy, was I pissed off. At least my intense displeasure inspired a funny blogpost... perhaps another one later tonight!

Aiyoh Policeman, please go after the murderers, snatch thiefs, rapists, the mat rempits and many more real criminals that are plentiful out there instead of hounding candle-bearers! Groan!

Well, Stephen, the police action has(for them) an unintended effect. It helps publicize the vigil and adds fire in the bellies of those attending. Think of all dictatorships and how most finally ended up. Whether the present ruling party will learn from history or not remains to be seen: things might become worse before they get better - but they WILL, ultimately, get better.

dogs only taking order from his boss, the most notorous home minister, shit hamid.

let's muster a plan how to sack this shit hamid.

Yes, give Khalid a chance. It is not an easy task in this rig-moronic political scenario to wear an opposition badge. I believe this is also a real testing ground for the opposition.

Khalid is a waste of time ,and you guys wasted your time placing him there ! Dont ever forget that he is a product of the NEP ! just like Anwar !

Belive me'he dont give two hoots to you my friend!

Thought we need the police to patrol the city and make PJ a safter place than to spend time wondering if the food or the gathering is 'hahal'. So now lemang and oranges gathering is haram, next it will be the tosai and muruku?
