'Today is a beautiful day and I cannot see it.'

I'll leave you with this story to ponder on this last day of the holy month of Ramadan;

A blind boy sat on the steps of a building with a hat by his feet. He held up a sign which said: 'I am blind, please help.' There were only a few coins in the hat.

A man walked by. He took a few coins from his pocket and dropped them into the hat. He then took the sign, turned it around, and wrote some words. He put the sign back so that everyone who walked by would see the new words.

Soon the hat began to fill up. A lot more people were giving money to the blind boy. That afternoon the man who had changed the sign came to see how things were. The boy recognized his footsteps and asked, 'Were you the one who changed my sign this morning ? What did you write?'

The man said, 'I only wrote the truth. I said what you said but in a different way..'

What he had written was: 'Today is a beautiful day and I cannot see it.'

Do you think the first sign and the second sign were saying the same thing?

Of course both signs told people the boy was blind. But the first sign simply said the boy was blind. The second sign told people they were so lucky that they were not blind. Should we be surprised that the second sign was more effective?

Moral of the Story: Be thankful for what you have. Be creative. Be innovative. Think differently and positively.

Invite others towards good with wisdom. Live life with no excuse and love with no regrets. When life gives you a 100 reasons to cry, show life that you have 1000 reasons to smile. Face your past without regret. Handle your present with confidence. Prepare for the future without fear. Keep the faith and drop the fear.

Great men say, 'Life has to be an incessant process of repair and reconstruction, of discarding evil and developing goodness…. In the journey of life, if you want to travel without fear, you must have the ticket of a good conscience.'

The most beautiful thing is to see a person smiling…

And even more beautiful is, knowing that you are the reason behind it !!!

Let us then give thanks in this joyous season of festivities, stop and think of all those who have not had that same reason to smile.....who have not had a fair trial.....who have not had the pleasure to hold their near and dear ones in their arms....or watch them grow. I know most muslims visit the graves of their dearly departed on the 2nd. day of Shawal too, but this year if you are in the northern states of the peninsula, you could join the many people from Penang and Taiping, who will be assembling at the entrance of the Kamunting Detention Camp at 11 am. (2nd. October ) to light a candle for those who know it is a beautiful day for you and me outside but cannot see an end or reason for their detention without trial.....Will you do that for them....and for yourself and your childrens' future?

Wishing all my muslim brothers and sisters a blessed Edilfitri..........Maaf, Zahir & Batin !

Godbless !

"fish rots from the head down".

I happen to read MyCenNews "Malaysia: Not A Country To Go" as posted on the home page of a Ghanian blog of the treatment of Africans in Malaysia and was not entirely shocked ! What shocked me was the responses of some ( at the time of this post there is 68 comments-and you gotta click one by one ! ) who took the liberty to further confirm our status as a racist nation !

One commentor even went as far as to say that the blog was a creation of a fellow Malaysian out to create hatred by foreigners towards Malaysia ! But the most interesting comment is from a Malay Malaysian (click the title-link above and read his comment) who has been living in the US for the past 30 years. He too questions the now famous tag-line..."what happened to us..... ?"

Sad indeed, but perhaps somewhere along the way to achieve the utopian dream of the so-called "first world status" we lost all principles, morals and decency in exchange for monetary greed, materialism and racism ! Shame on us ! And I blame it squarely on our educational system slyly "orchestrated" by fascists and religious bigots !

They say "fish rots from the head down".....hmmmmm...how true !! And we have been rotting since 1957 and we stink like a cess-pool as a nation ! What have we got to show as a grown and matured nation if we continue to make racism a norm in our society ?.....nothing but third world mentality !!

To the peoples of Africa, on behalf of all like-minded members of civil society in Malaysia, I am so sorry you had to endure such humiliation here. I beg you, please accept my sincere apology !

Detention Camps...in living color !

This is going to be a long post as I am going to give you a "mental tour"( not a first person account, but by "conscience" imagination !) of how "to turn offenders into members of society who could contribute to nation building." as seen through the eyes of our honorable Home Minister Syed Hamid Albar.......

Place: lets say......erh... Kamunting Detention Camp ??
Time: Present
Picture this, folks.....
Scenario 1: You have been detained for reasons only the Home Minister thinks as unsuitable/unstable to be a civil "contributing" member of society for days now. You really cannot remember how many days you've been detained now. You are kept blinded-folded and in pitch dark rooms. You have protested a hundred times of your innocence, over and over that you have not, raped your fellow members of society neither have you raped, murdered and plundered the rakyat's coffers. You are in complete isolation and have been questioned non-stop by all available men in uniform all through the day and night and you still don't know why they are holding you as they claim you are a "threat to society". Water and "food"( read today's Malay Mail classic probe here-"we dare you to eat this") is shoved to you in dirty plastic or tin cups and plate 3 times a day and you'd want to puke as the taste of the "food" touches your mouth. You are tired, in a daze, lethargic and feeling like you want to give -up ! But don't know what you want to give up on... right?
Scenario 2: When they are done questioning for the first few days, and your "mental and health condition" having all the above symptoms in scenario 1, they then put you in a totally dark and silent room, seated on a stool, hands bound behind your back, blind-folded and sitting up-right ! Above your head about 5 feet up, is a container filled with cold water. A single drop of water drops on your head in intervals of say 10 seconds. And this goes on for maybe an hour or so. You cannot move your head to avoid that single drop and the minutes are slowing dragging on....as each second passes by, you are already anticipating the next drop. Drip...drip....drip....as you dread, curse and will be driven to near insanity in that totally dark and absolutely quiet room, anticipating the next drop which by now feels like a brick slamming on your head....and the seconds turn to minutes and slowly to hours all day long and the drop of water still continues to drop on and on and on till maybe you pass out....and you still don't know why and for how long you'd be subjected to this kind of mental torture...... going crazy already huh?....you still with me here, folks ?
Scenario 3: By now you don't know how long you've been there already, as you don't see the light of day and everyday you're kept isolated from everyone else and in totally pitch-dark and dank cubicles and you're moved around silently, blind-folded and your hands cuffed behind your back everytime! Your body if not your spirit is now near breaking point, but you still don't know why you're daily subjected to the same routine of not physical but mental torture....you're going insane wondering what day it is as by now you've lost track of all day and time because you've been passing out every now between "questioning" and from sheer mental exhaustion.....and with your failing health, eating all that "food" you get worse and worse both mentally and physically! Then one day someone comes and whispers into your ears that you've been a "good" boy already and that you've been rewarded with a "visit" from your loved one, in a week's time ! You get all excited but still the "routine" goes on daily but from then on with renewed "hope" you try weakly to look forward to "that" visit. Every hour or so they come and whisper into your ear that your loved one is coming......and every other day and hour they whisper to you "it's another 5 days to go" and then the next day every hour or so they continue to whisper to you "it's another 4 days to go" and then "it's another 3 days to go before your loved one is coming to visit you" to a point you seem to only look forward to "that" visit and endure the same routine of torture between questioning, water drippings and passing-out, with anticipated eager hope now.

Then it is time for that "visit" by your loved one and you are told to put on your "best" attire and they lead you blind-folded, mouth taped to a "waiting room" and left to wait. They tell you that your loved one will be in the next room soon and when she is ready you will be taken to the next room. You wait and wait and then the clock ticks on and on and the hours creep by.....when you finally hear shuffling movements in the room next door..... like the sound of people whispering in hushed under-tones and you hear something like people hurriedly ripping off their clothes...then the sound of smacking and slurping of lips kissing and then the heaving, groaning and moaning of 2 bodies intimately locked in passionate sex ! All the while you are trying to shut off the sound of that tryst in the room next door and you want to scream as you rock in nervous "insane fashion" in your seat having the wildest thoughts of your loved one "getting it all sweaty".....running through your already screwed-up head !
After what seems like forever everything is quiet again and you hear the sound of people dressing-up and doors opening and shutting silently. And a few minutes later someone opens the door of your room and whispers nervously into your ear.." your wife did come BUT she decided not to see today" !...........Can you handle this sort of torture, folks ??
Scenario 4: Is when you have been there so long and had been passing-out so often ,when you come around, they put you in a room with calenders and bit of letters dated some crazy days in the past or future....say September 25th. 2012. or September 21st. 2006. You think you must be crazy and you end-up asking what day today is and they actually convince you it is indeed 2012 or 2006 now ! See you've been loosing track of time passing-out so often and cannot really recall the events of time....that it drives you nuts trying to figure or come to terms with time ! Then on another day they would turn the clock back and again you'd be given a totally different answer to your enquiry of date ! This goes on over time so much so you'd start thinking you really ARE mad.
And when they have driven you comfortably to the edge of insanity...... and after 2 years or 8 years (depending on public interest) they release you into the world proudly claiming you are indeed a changed and neutralised man and now fit to rejoin civil society and who could help in nation building ! Such is the tactics and punishment meted out at despicable detention centres to rehabilitate anyone who goes against, speaks out or stands in the way of power crazy and corrupt scum-bags masquerading as politicians !

God bless all detainees detained under the ISA here in Malaysia !

So there folks, listen to your heart, pray and repent in this holy month of Ramadan and to the rest of you folks, "selamat berbuka puasa "!

The Judas's amongst us !

It is indeed with a heavy heart that I have to write this post . A posting akin to a requiem for my friend Raja Petra. Pet as I have always know as a blogger was more then that. He and Marina were friends of my family ! Friends who came by to visit during Christmas time and friends who chatted on things far from politics !

Yes Raja Petra had been detained under Section 8 of the dreaded ISA this morning ! An order that was done in a last and desperate attempt to put him away or "silence" him and hurriedly signed only last night by the Home Minister and to be detained without trial in Kamunting.....for the next 2 years (my hometown !) Such is the obsolete and draconian law of the land here in Malaysia ! And in the holy month of Ramadan too !

Has Pet been kissed too many times by Judas ? When he almost single-handedly was most vocal and instrumental in the sway of "change" votes both in the March 8 GE and again in Anwar's Permatang Pauh trumping victory ! No ? Are we all afflicted by this Judas' syndrome ? It is becoming very evident of even bloggers doing a Judas.....right ?

A lot of talk about changes in the government has been harped by Anwar and especially now , at the hour when my friend Pet needs the pro-active action and support most....nobody is actually doing anything ! How did this happen ? I also heard Anwar is to have an audience with the King ! Good I say but what about the much publicised numbers and the so-called eventual change ? I have always maintained ...change IS good.....but I am not seeing anything !

Nobody would want to be in Pet's shoes now......absolutely nobody.... all who have used him in one way or another, to be where they are now ! In the end I hope it is not Pet who had been had !....right ?

God bless Pet....stay strong and God is with you and with your family and my family will pray for your safe and quick release ! Cheers Pet !

On a personal note.... my dear Marina, my family and I would love to have you at our home again come Christmas time and........ it would certainly be hard to keep the tears back !

Blogger Sheih@Kickdefella detained by police 4 days ago for alleged sedition was released 4.30pm. today !

What price......our politicians ?

Looks like everybody's up for sale here in Malaysia....and it looks like a really "BIG RAYA SALE"

Just look at all the reports in the dailies....everybody and anybody in politics is up for sale ! And this includes both the Barisan National and the Barisan Rakyat camps ! Everyone's talking of promised acquisitions (read "sold" politicians ) ....but till now, it is nothing but empty talk........ or are they actually waiting for a counter-offer ? Ahem.....!

But a reserved price, is all that takes to negotiate the start of the sale ! Yes...everyone in Malaysian politics has a price, trust me, EVERYONE, you pretenders !!! And the lure of money plus a promise of a lucrative position, is the biggest single factor to seal the deal....and the richer party leader with the bigger offer or counter-offer secures the commodity (read politician !)

Politicians of both side are waiting for the other to make them an offer, right ? Now don't tell me they are secretly not hoping for an offer ! Bullshit, you pretenders !.......everyone's got a price....just the right quantum is all it takes to decide that inevitable defect....any which way the offer flows !

If word gets out of a particular SALE (read politician) immediately all machinery and expertise (read party leaders/little napoleons(to coin Nades)/negotiators/crony/businessmen of a favored party) will be mobilised to counter that offer to reconsider the sale or "up" the sale !

So what have we the simple and frustrated rakyat got, in terms of choice of honest leaders, NOTHING !.....do we follow their choice of acquisition with the "herd" mentality and "sokong" and continue to back our favoured party leaders ? Yes ?....we have got no other choice here , right ?.....WRONG folks....think again ! WRONG.... we must reject any "purchase" who was "bought" through a sale or a re-sale and demand a stop to this "buying-over" of a politician(read monkeys-in-suits) !

The bottom line is the danger of any "purchase" bought today may be "up for sale" again tomorrow....for the right price ! And that brings us back to another round of the rakyat's taxed- MONEY used/wasted for excessive purchases of these half-baked politicians ( and I'm sure you've seen their "monkeying-antics" in parliament before, right ?).... Sheeeeesh !

p.s.- somebody.....anybody...make ME an offer , please !

notice-the spotted hyena is back again !

Latest : Zaid Quits ?

Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Zaid Ibrahim has tendered his resignation from the Cabinet. (here)
"The ISA was created by the British to be used against the communists. This government should be a government of law based on principles and rules."-Datuk Zaid Ibrahim.

The men who put the last nails on BN's coffin

This clip above was the most damning of all in the face of BN's definate down-fall as far as the rakyat confidence is concerned !
Please bear with the buffering-up first and then view the full clip of 9 :42 minutes carefully....enjoy !

The sheer arrogance of this one man alone, led to the ridiculous regurgitatings of the Home Minister dubiously and unknowingly declaring Malaysia a police state, don't you think so, right ?

From what I am made to understand as a layman, nobody and nobody signs the order for detention under section 73(1) of the ISA other then the Home Minister ! And in the ensuing fumbling developments, Syed Albar denied any interference by him and claims police "intelligence" acted on their own in the recent swoop on 3 persons detained under the dreadful law of the ISA and it will be the police who will eventually recommend (after the 60 days of "investigations"........really, I don't know what the 60 day detention is actually called now.....pre-ISA perhaps ??) to him if the detainee is indeed a threat to national security and only then he'd sign the order for detention under the ISA ! Were they not all arrested under the ISA already ?? What crap is this !

Syed Albar has shamed us all as morons to the whole world with his lies of the reporter's life in imminent danger when in fact he had nothing on, to even arrest her in the first place....worst still under the ISA !! (read Tan Hoon Cheng's chilling account and in her own words here )

Looks like Syed must resign immediately or now has to sign his own detention under the ISA for he faces the absolute wrath of the rakyat.... and so for his own life's safety should be in custody himself !

What a joke this man Syed is and of course that moron Ahmad !!!!!!! Sheeeeeeesh...... hahahahahahahahahahahaha !!!

"On a day of pain and shame"

On a day of pain and shame, to quote John, I have come to a point of being totally prepared for anything....yes nothing my prime minister does, surprise me anymore....unless.... he reads my posting today !

Dear Mr. Prime Minister, sir,

In the holy month of Ramadan I wonder how you go to bed with your beautiful wife every night, assuring her that you had done a splendid job as a prime minister and have been a wonderful father to your children ?

While in all honesty you, my holy and clean prime minister, you had been personally responsible of robbing 3 families of their loved ones ! 3 families who find it hard to understand your goodness anymore and have no knowledge of the whereabouts of their near and dear and whose families you have instilled in their hearts the meaning of "hate" !

Was "honesty" Sin Chew Daily reporter Tan Hoon Cheng's crime ? Wasn't it you Mr. Prime Minister who only recently told all media to report "honestly" ? And yes sir, she took your advise and did exactly that.....while the still defiant bigot is on a road-show boasting like an "untouchable" !!

Why is this idiot so special and why are you breeding the likes of these parasites , Pak Lah, or are you afraid to him sir ? And even though you do know of your deputy's apology on that moron's behalf to the rakyat, that he and he alone was the real reason for all this "hoohaa" leading your country to the brink of a racial strife, had he the brains to speak with intelligence in the first place ??

You too once, in your younger and "political climbing" days, advocated to the abolishment of the dreadful and draconian rule of the ISA.....or have you forgotten, sir ?

This is the holy month of Ramadan, Pak Lah and I am a christian and even my little child of 11 tells me not to have hate or anger in our hearts during the fasting month for muslims !

Why did you do it, sir?..... why I ask !

In all your greatness as the holy leader of this "once" wonderful country of ours, I beg you sir, release them now.... all 3 of them, immediately and unconditionally too sir, for I know that tonight you can go to bed and look at the missus in the eye and tell her in all honesty that you have done a splendid job as the head of this country and had been a wonderful husband to her and a great father to your children !

It's NOT too late, sir to undo the mistakes this holy month of Ramadan ,as I know of the "ill-advise" whispered in your ear by the power crazy people surrounding you ! Heed my plea Mr. Prime Minister, please !

Good night sir....and pleasant dreams !

up-dates@4.50pm (13-9-2008) Ahh..my good Mr. Prime Minister, just read now that the reporter has been released......hmmmm....that's a good start, sir ! Thank you and now, how about the other 2 ,my good and holy leader, sir ??

This is NOT an obituary !

Is it a crime or so wrong to do your job well and to do it as best as you can ? All this man did was carry out his duties as any honest man would, to work with a clear conscience to the people who are paying and helping him "put food" on his family table and provide his fine children a proper education so they too can walk with their heads held high !

Yes, I am talking about my friend Syed Nadzri, Datuk Syed Nadzri or Tuan Syed to others. To me, he is my brother Syed !

Much has been said in many a blog in the net recently and repeatedly his name being dragged in mud to satisfy their egos, I silently prayed for him and I kept quiet... BUT I tell you this now.... all this man did was work, as any self-righteous man would too if his bosses names were Anwar, Lim Keat Siang, Hussam Musa, Yong Teck Lee, Karpal Singh, Hadi Awang or even Mahathir.

Heck, would you make a "shinning employee" if you did your job with no compromise of principles and without fear or agenda to say what's actually on your mind to your "pay-masters" ? I'd also like to ask those bloggers (here and overseas) and commentors if ....and IF they do have any political leanings towards anyone on the list above if they dared to write anything other then but paint "rosy" pictures of their so-called political "masters" biddings, would they dare ??......yeah right ??

In their eyes and minds, their "masters" are angels or saints and could make no mistakes, no matter what bizarre accusations have been hurled at them by the opposition (depends here on which side you're on ) thus it is their job, to do and do it, they must ! Is that so wron
g ?

Don't judge this man by what he writes and persecute/assassinate and demonise him as a person ! If you really knew him and I'm afraid not many of you really do, you'll never know who he really is ! So stop being so freaking righteous in playing God, ok ?

The man only does his job and a damn good job he does in his capacity , for the institution he represents ! He's a gem of a guy and he's my brother !

Cheers and Godbless Syed and "selamat berbuka puasa " ! I salute you !

Say No to Internal Security Act (ISA).

Joint Press Statement by National Alliance of Bloggers and Centre for Policy Initiatives -9th. September 2008
SOS on Raja Petra Kamarudin to Fellow Malaysians

During the last few days there has been an ominous and increasing crescendo of messages – written and verbal – indicating the imminent arrest and detention of fellow blogger Raja Petra Kamarudin under the Internal Security Act (ISA).

We hope that the Government is not contemplating this action. To alleviate the widespread public uproar and concern – national and international – that this shortsighted action will precipitate, we call on the authorities that may be planning this action to take heed of this SOS; to immediately cease all targeting of Raja Petra through the ISA or any other repressive measure; and to come out instead with an assurance that
1. no such ISA order is being envisaged to be served on Raja Petra
2. Raja Petra is free to continue his writings on the vital matters affecting the country
3. the draconian legislation of the ISA will not be used on Raja Petra or any other Malaysian blogger to punish them for their dissenting views and opinions.

In our view - and if the Government should care to undertake an independent survey, in the view of the great majority of Malaysians and non-Malaysians - Raja Petra in no way poses a threat to the country’s peace and security. Rather, he poses a threat to those individuals and organizations that he perceives as engaging in unconscionable and dastardly acts and activities that are bringing ruin to the nation. Many Malaysians too are of the opinion that his website contains some of the most incisive analysis on the ills that beset our nation. Further attempts to take down his website or to shackle his freedom of expression is not only an attack on a fearless, principled and ethical patriot but they will also be construed as an attempt to restrict our freedom of information and expression, a move that will take the country further down the road of authoritarianism.

While we respect the right to freedom of speech and information, we also advise all Bloggers and other online writers to exercise the same high ethical standards expected of journalists in the traditional media. We do not condone lies and malice in the Internet and should not only stand by what we write - we must be able to defend the truth of what we write.

We emphasise that in our view the current laws pertaining to Sedition and Defamation apply equally to print and online media and should be deterrent enough to check "irresponsible" writings. Hence we urge that there be no resort to a draconian law such as the Internal Security Act to hold peace-loving Malaysian writers to ransom."

A democratic government should not for one moment entertain - let alone pursue - the charges that have been leveled against Raja Petra. To isolate those forces in the system that are bent on using the repressive instruments of the state against various opponents for their own benefit, we call on

1. all fair-minded and honest leaders from the Barisan Nasional and Pakatan Rakyat parties to speak out - privately and publicly - against any attempt to use the ISA against Raja Petra;
2. component parties of the Barisan Nasional and Pakatan Rakyat to publicly oppose any intended incarceration of Raja Petra under the ISA;
3. civil society, professional and other organizations and private individuals to demand that the Government guarantees Raja Petra’s freedom of expression and undertakes not to use the ISA against him now or in the future.

We hope that good sense will prevail in our country’s leadership. Any act of repression against Raja Petra especially at this particular time will not go unquestioned or unanswered. We are confident that hundreds of thousands - if not millions of Malaysians – will stand firmly to make their dissenting views known should the Government choose to silence Raja Petra through the use of the ISA.

the stage is set for the show-down !

The eight-day study trip to Taiwan by the Barisan Nasional Backbenchers Club (BBC) is underway at the time of this posting, but at 11.50am.this morning, of the 41 who were reported to go, only 29 MP's actually checked-in at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport.(read here )

What happens now ? Can Anwar realise his promised dream, come 16th. September- the date he has vowed to take power of the Malaysian government? Or is this just another of his political "promises" for a better tomorrow to the ordinary citizens, like you and me.....erh...like a dry run ?

The BN government, judging from the coincidental and hurriedly hatched "study tour" plans are in an absolute state of grand funk and gone into "desperation" mode !

One wrong move or word uttered now would be the final annihilation of BN and that wrong moves have been building-up aplenty lately.....like recent remarks on racial "ketuanaan melayu","pendatang" issues and religious sentiments aimed against the non-malay partners in the BN coalition championed by attention seeking, recalcitrant up-starts within UMNO and who Pak Lah seem to have lost control off and unknowingly played to the advantage of the opposition.

Pak Lah knows ( or does he, really ??) he's walking on very thin ice and so too is Anwar, with all credibility of confidence at stake......and the stakes are stacked real high.....much too high for comfort !

So there folks ......the stage is set for the show-down come 16th. September 2008 and whosoever triumphs is going to be gleefully laughing at the other for being a moron.......and smugly say ...."Didn't I tell you so.....the people have spoken and have totally rejected him..."!!!

And as for the rest of us, instead of getting emotional and bitching and buggering each other......pray, God help us !

To all good muslims, during this holy month of Ramadan......."selamat berbuka puasa" !

"galleria el rogues" saga continues......

This is the face of the arrogant hooter, BN's Bukit Bendera Umno division chief, Datuk Ahmad Ismail clearly seeking national attention with his now infamous "pendatang" and "balik tongsan" hoot !!

Looks like the BN is slip sliding away very quickly, with the likes of these half-baked morons spewing fascist's remarks on a daily basis. Some have even countered this as a PR ploy to infuriate and give enough reasons for the Malaysians of remote chinese origins, among others, in the BN coalition to justify their "leap-frogging" exercises ! And would the PR eventually be breeding these goons in return ??

But remember... pride goes before fall.......and with the rate this trend is building-up, with no damage control in sight, soon BN will only have UMNO or whatever remnants is left of them, to declare as a party.....blame who and what then ??

I keep wondering why Pak Lah didn't haul him up immediately to demand a resignation from this goon ? And as for Najib to apologise on his behalf.......pray tell why ?? Are they actually aware of the seriousness and damage done within the coalition since March 8th.? Is nothing learnt here yet ?

Looks like this Datuk Ahmad's explanation and a defiant "no apology" stance, after a convienient hiatus of about 10 days, seem to satisfy Pak Lah and in fact all the Prime Minister can muster is a weak "STOP IT" order from all quarters ! Does this mean our PM is in agreement with the derogative remarks uttered by this fellow ! Hey....like you, I'm confused too, as to Pak Lah's leniency and take on this fellow !

Warning the media and bloggers not to play-up sensitive issues or blowing things out of proportion is not the answer to solve an already volatile situation.....the rakyat wants to see how the BN is going about doing it and what pro-active measures and punishments befall such bigots ! There should be no place for such idiots in our civil society...period !

So in you go Datuk Ahmad Ismail into my rogue's gallery !

Sheeesh !

History of the world... pt.2

Much is being debated in this "race-based" country of ours over who reigns supreme over the other and the constant UMNO "ketuanan melayu" and the "pendatang" drama and to challenge what is taught in our venacular schools as knowledge imparted by our "scholars" to the young minds(....read your kids and mine !) against the wonders of facts gathered by modern borderless technology !

See.....history is determined by the lessons taught within a civil society, pre-determined by a select few so called "scholars", and if in the powers of a demented person and repeatedly fed to us, will be interpreted as the gospel truth. If unchecked this can lead to a total distortion of historical facts and if when a lie is spun too often, we tend to actually believe it as the truth.

Interestingly enough someone sent me this post by email and I leave it to you to draw your own conclusions. As far as I am concerned we are all equal before God. PERIOD !
Remember history favors the ruling and elite's past.....and how desperately too these select few want the rest of us mortals to believe in.

Read this article below on "OUR HISTORY" with an open mind. Cheers !

It is time to define who the 'malays' really are and to correctly define them. To begin with, let us look at the subject of 'Race'. Since Hitler's Days of propagating the 'Superiority' of the Aryan Race, many have scorned from the very mention of the very word 'race' itself. However, certain Malaysian Political Parties still seems to relish in its' very notion of separation. Strangely, they go all out to 'Divide and Rule'. Uniting one race in particular, but not the rest of the country. And they spend lots of time, money and effort to this redundant and lost cause.

Anthropology defines only 5 Races in the World (use your favorite search engine). The Caucasoids, Negroids, Mongoloids, The Dravidic, and the Austronesians. Any other species is merely a combination of the above 5 main groupings. Geographically, Malaysia falls within the Austronesian Category.
Brown skinned people, residing in countries such as Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Burma, Cambodia, Vietnam, Philippines, Brunei, Polynesian Islands, Tahiti, Hawaii and so forth. In fact, it is next to impossible to differentiate the Austronesian People, regardless of the country they come from. However, if there is a certain distinctive physical facial feature, which identifies anyone from any locality, it is usually a case of the gene pool not coming from a wide enough resource.

Put bluntly, Incest, or Inbreeding (as Mahathir so aptly put it, in the greater sense of the definition, in his book, 'The Malay Delima'). Inter-marrying from within the community. However, some still believe that it is essential that cousins should marry each other to protect the 'Blue-Blood', and/ or to prevent family property from ever leaving the clan. This unfortunately is in stark contrast to the Mongoloid practice where two people with even the same family names are prohibited from marrying.
In fact, once you remove the nationalities from the Austronesians, you will find a vast interesting and diverse group of people. From the many ornate costumes, to the vast number of religions and cultural practices. The very essence of the Austronesian Culture is bound to intoxicate every observer. One other category, which seems to confuse the issue is the existence of whom locals call the 'Orang Asli'. Technically known as 'Australo Melanesians', they are the direct descendants of the East Africans who migrated out of Laetoli, Africa circa 60,000 years ago. You will also find it impossible to distinguish between an Australian Aborigine, The Malaysian Negrito, or the Philippine Aeta with the Papuan Tribes. So you now have two distinct groups. The first to arrive here are the Australo Melanesians, circa 60,000 years ago, and then you have the Austronesians (from Yunan), who arrived in Malaysia circa 3,000 years ago. Cross-Breeding between the two results in a 'new' category called the Polynesians. 'Poly' meaning 'many', thus accurately describing the many '...sians' which have inter-bred. Caucasians with Austronesians, Australo-Melanesians with Austronesians and so on so forth. For an accurate understudy of Anthropology, country borders are irrelevant, and only serve to create severe delusions of the facts. As the Austronesian Clusters are so diverse, many individual traits start to form in a localized manner. For the sake of individual Nationalism Spirit, many have mutated from its original form. Others, such as costumes and such have taken on slightly different materials depending on what was locally available to them, and was duly influenced by the spice tradesmen of the West who brought new materials. However, they all have their roots in animism, which is still seen in all of greater Polynesia. As such, their religions are equally as diverse. True to form, most Austronesian Cultures have still retained many traits during their animistic days. Hinduism also has played an extremely large role in defining rituals, and is most obvious in local Austronesian Wedding Customs. The concept of Sultan and Maharaja (Raja in short) is also of Hindu origins. The Sultan is equivalent to the 'Son of Heaven' concept of China. Therefore, 'Duli Yang Maha Mulia' (He who is of Supreme Nobility). So is the double-handed praying-gesture when addressing someone of importance, or when addressing the King/ Sultan. The local bomoh will attest to a combination of animistic, and pagan practices with Islam. Frowned by authorities, but still permitted to practice; with or without a license. Exorcisms, prediction of lottery numbers, healing the sick are among the many many functions and duties of the local Bomoh. He is also often seen to grace important venues, holding back the rain, or invited to special occasions and functions; sometimes, by the very people who scorn his pagan 'superior powers'.

While it is true that a large number of Asutronesians are of the Muslim faith (but not in the greater Polynesia), it is also important to note, that (in South East Asia) the majority of them converted en-masse during the late 19th Century just prior to the Krakatau Volcanic explosion. Impending 'Doomsday' brought about a massive conversion from the previous 1,500 years of Hinduism. Why the Balinese, the North 'Sulawesians', the Kalimantans, the people from Flores, the Papuans and the central Javanese never converted, we will never know. Perhaps they never heard of the impending explosion of this volcano, or that they were simply too far away to care.

Read 'Krakatoa': The Wrath of the Earth and how it turned Indonesia Muslim by Richard Ellis.

Travelling by air from Jakarta to Bali will present you with an unprecedented view of many active volcanoes along central Java. (a possible 'peek' into the past of the pre-Krakatau days). '... Kejawen is the actual and true religion of most of the Javanese people, but they have been forced ever since 1947 to identify themselves as Muslims, thus swelling the number of declared Muslims into the majority ...' -John Valentine

For those wanting to read more on Kejawen can turn to: http://www.joglosemar.co.id/http://www.kpsnusantara.com/ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kejawen
Again, use your favourite search engine to research/ Amazon.com your 'Kejawen' materials.

Spending the past 3 months in Indonesia has allowed me to to make many ground-level observations firsthand. For those keen, make your own observations, and studies.
Aceh, in North Sumatra of Indonesia is actually an acronym few are made aware of. A=Arab, C=Chinese, E=Europe and H=Hindi (India). The diagram below offers a much known migrational origins of the various Austronesians ( only known as 'malay' in Malaysia). To further confuse the issue, Indonesia, defines a 'malay' simply if you come from 2 regions. The Riau (formerly known as riuh, meaning 'noisy') and its neighboring islands, as well as to the Brunei inhabitants (who probably came from the same Riau region). But regardless, circa 75% of West Malaysian Austronesians are migrants from the Island of Java (Batavia), thus should be called Javanese instead of 'malay'. Even better would be the preferred, and correct name of Orang Ambon. For the record, in Austronesian language, 'Orang ...' simply implies the place of origin. As such, 'Orang Aceh', does not mean the 'Acehnese Race', but people from Aceh. Similarly, 'Orang Jawa' simply means 'People who come from Java. Nowhere has the word 'Orang' (in its original sense) meant 'race'. 'Bangsa' transalates as 'Race', while 'Warganegara' transalates as 'Nationality'.

Hence, no one ever talks about the 'Singaporean Race', even though one might refer to them, as 'Orang Singapura', or 'Warganegara Singapura'. Now, using the same definition, 'Orang Melayu' means people from Kampong Melayu, Jambi, Sumatera. Somewhere along the way, some bright spark decided to 'upgrade' Melayu, from Kaum (tribe) to Bangsa (Race). Noble, but wrong.

For reasons best known only to the Individual Local Governments, the very insistence of a 'malay race', as well as the concept of 'Ketuanan Melayu' (Lordship of malays) continues to elude the Academia. who exactly are they referring to, when they mention the word 'malay', and who exactly do these 'malays' have Lordship over? Is this concept of Lordship then, just as ficticious as the 'malay-race' definition itself? In closing, the above picture is an 'In-Your-Face' challenge, to see if anyone can accurately identify, which tribes these Austronesians are from, or next best, which country they each originated from individually. (FYI. The flower garlands could be props from dancing in front of hotels, or actual ceremonial costumes)

Wherever they come from, I'm very sure that once the Austronesian Race is correctly identified that the UMNO's demented definition of the word 'malay' would cease to be significant. Just like the very existence of UMNO itself. By the same definition, Mahathir resumes being an Indian, Badawi is once again part-Hainanese, part Pakistani, his former wife, part Japanese, and his present wife, Portuguese.

And so, looking back, Malaysia never had a 'malay' Prime Minister since independence. ...... t-o-u-g-h.
For now, we are all looking forward to the unification of all Malaysians, and not any individual 'race' from any particular Political Party. And no matter many kilos of C4 are used, one can never take away the Beauty, the Charm, and the Mystique of the Greater Exotic Austronesian Race.

But for the record, Malaysia cannot unite, unless, you first correctly identity the 'malays'. Do some soul-searching. Ask your relatives, most will gladly tell you where you came from. The only people who obviously cannot possibly remember, are the Orang Asli's. They have been here since 60,000 years ago. Far too long for any mortal to remember.

And they, and they alone, my friends, are the True and Only Bumiputra of this land.
