Mr. Muventen....spoiler or hero ?
We have heard of this coming GE13 bringing out the most number of "Independent" candidates vying for a position of power and for some instant riches. Yes, I have heard of oppurtunists and bona-fide meceneries who'd submit their nominations and wait. Wait for some politicians or political parties to "make them an offer" to withdraw from the election but with a price tag.
Others will just lose their deposit if they are plain duds not comanding any threat to the incumbent or the opposition or not good enough to be bought out or coerced from leaving. Yet others just want to get a feel of what this once-in-5-years drama in politics is all about and go in ( even if they risked losing their deposit !) just for the "heck of it" ! I have always wondered what evil plans these "Independents" hatch in their puny heads to make a claim for the political position which will also automatically favour them as in YB status (Yang Berhormat/Your Honour or Yang Berpundek/ no translation needed ) to their names in an instant.
One such man is this Mr. Muventen. Notice he has no surname-so emphasis is on Mr. !!! What can I call this young man from a sleepy hollow like Tanjong Sepat ? An idiotic spoiler, a pain in the ass, an oppurtunist or a true saviour who will serve his people and constituency and go on to become a local hero or legend ? But, hey, wait a minute......Tanjong Sepat is already famous for its murdering lawyers as in the Susilawati case right ?
You read this young man's manifesto ( if I may call it that ) and see if he's worth your time to vote for him. I like his "to-do" list.....but not the VOTE FOR ME thinggy or his party logo of a pen ! Don't this EC mutts know nobody uses a fountain pen anymore....we just "touch" the screen of our i-pads with our fingers, duh !
Can the big boys/players in PR and BN do any better ???
Remember you were introduced to this virtually "unknown" man without a surname, here first.
The picture at the end of the manifesto is Mr. Muventen's campaign manager, Harjit Singh.
INDEPENDENT CANDIDATE FOR DUN N.54 TANJONG SEPAT
Vote for me and I will make sure
all those empty promises are realized. My list of priorities and objective as an elected Adun of N.54 Tanjong
Sepat will be;
1. Within 100 days as a sworn-in
Adun I solemnly promise to create a
dialysis centre right here in Tanjong Sepat. There are many kidney patients who
live in Tanjong Sepat and have no access to such clinics or centres for
their dialysis treatment. And these are
ordinary people with no mode of own transport but to take public transport. I will
further ensure that this centre will only charge a minimal fee of RM1ringgit
for each treatment and visit. Right now the people of Tanjong Sepat have to
make a long and arduous journey to Banting
to first, make an appointment for a later date and then come back again for the
treatment and each treatment costs an entire months’ salary for some.
VOTE FOR ME !
2. A bigger majority of our people in this town do not own motor cars
and have to put up with an almost
non-existent public transport service. I
will pressure the government to provide proper bus service and at regular
times. I will create bus stops at every interval with a roof and seats for you
as you wait for the buses.
VOTE FOR ME !
3. Tanjong Sepat does not have a
library. Of course the schools have their own libraries but for the adults,
where do they go to nurture their thirst for knowledge ? With a growing
population each town must have a well stocked library. Therein the knowledge men and women of Tanjong Sepat
can spend hours in their free time to
enlighten themselves with knowledge. I
as Dun N.54 will create a town of learned and enriched citizens.
VOTE FOR ME !
4.Knowledge is power and as such institutions of learning must be available to
our children without having to travel
for miles to one. As it is, we have no tuition centres in Tanjong Sepat. I,
Muventen, when elected as Dun N.54 sincerely promise the people of Tanjong
Sepat that I will build one such tuition
centre right here for our children and to even subsidise to poor and deserving
children with my own Adun allowance for
tuition fees.
VOTE FOR ME !
5. Traffic on our roads are heavy and accidents are
bound to happen. What if your child is involved in an accident while crossing
the road to and fro from school daily
? So I
will give every school going child a Personal Accident Cover even before
I am elected as your Adun.
VOTE FOR ME !
6. I will ensure the welfare and
livelihood of each and every pig farmer and fisherman is never interrupted and
I will protect and fight for your right to make a decent living for you and
your families. That I pledge solemnly.
VOTE FOR ME !
7. I will as Adun N.54 Tanjong
Sepat speak on behalf of all the people of Tanjong Sepat regardless of race or
religious backgrounds. I will not make any promise I cannot keep, like what you
fellow people of Tanjong Sepat have been led to believe all these years from
those politicians from both BN and PR. I will call on those politicians and
demand to know of all those promises that they never fulfilled and lies that have brought us to this state of
frustration.
VOTE FOR ME !
VOTE FOR ME as I, Muventen, am one of you. I
was born and raised here amongst you. I am your “kampong” boy who went to
school here in Tanjong Sepat and understand every problem or short fall in our
town. Together we will seek to address all the above 7 “mandatory” promise and
obligation I WILL fulfill if you elect me as Dun N.54 Tanjong Sepat.

P102 Serdang-Dr. Ong-a young man to watch !
Dr. Ong Kian Ming, born 1975 is an academic and
political analyst turned Election Strategist for DAP (Democratic Action
Party). His articles are widely published in popular news portals such
as Malaysiakini and The Edge. Dr. Ong was a lecturer in the Faculty of

Ong is also known to have recently ruffled more then some feathers by questioning the academic qualifications of 5 BN candidates in Selangor state. This young man has accused two parliamentary and three state candidates and questioned how BN could
claim to have a “competent, dynamic and progressive” line-up when these
candidates had degrees from bogus universities. (read the Malaysiakini report here and here )
Well its nice to now the future of our education system may have a fresh face and a guardian by the name of Ong Kian Ming who's all grown up now and ready to take on the bleeding crooks who have been bull-shitting and robbing the rakyat blind for over 5 decades. The buck stops here !
By the way, he has an uncle who is none other then SB Loy.

Launch of the People's Declaration (23rd. February 2008)
Update
This bonus posting is a blast from the past. Just to jog your aging memory...See what has happened in just 5 years. Sighhhhh.....do you still see the same people today the same way you saw them 5 years ago before March 8 2008 ? What happened folks ?
Original post.
This morning around 11.30am. saw the launch of the People's Declaration or simply translated Piagam Rakyat by a group of concerned citizens calling themselves Barisan Rakyat at the Blog-House in Bukit Damansara !
The Piagam Rakyat, in a nutshell, calls for efforts to create a Malaysia for all Malaysians, to kill corruption, eradicate poverty, bring back genuine democracy, free Press, and an independent judiciary.(see here for rocky's updates)
Endorsing the the Declaration formally and with anticipated approval and continuous applause from a crowd of about 120 "like-minded" and deeply concerned citizens, were representatives from DAP, MDP, PKR, PAS and Pasok a party based in Sabah.
Haris Ibrahim- dubbed the "wild man of apolitics"- was as usual as passionate and vocal about the realisation of this pet project "Bangsa Malaysia" together with other "marked" friends in the Malaysian blogging scene like Raja Petra, Rocky, Zorro, Nuraina, Malik, Tony Yew, AminIskandar and Shar101 who put on a a lot of effort working diligently "behind the scenes". There were other bloggers, spouses and friends too giving their Saturday time, voluntarily to make things as comfortable for the guests in the scorching heat in Blog-House!
Everyone from Wee Choo Keong to Chegubard, Nurul Izzah, Ronnie Liu and Dr Siti Maria spoke for a few minutes about the People's Declaration and their committed stand in implementing this as best as their party's stand for a really "united Malaysia" with Tony Yew as emcee !
By 1.10 pm. the attendees gave another thunderous applause to the "People's Declaration" bringing the event to a close and were then treated to a sumptuous "briyani" lunch and satay........
My kudos to the organisers of this really memorable day and my special thanks to all party representatives present, for working together for the Barisan Rakyat dream !
Long live Bangsa Malaysia and the People's Declaration ! Your vote has to be the one smartest thing you do for this country or otherwise "stop bitching" and forever hold your piece or peace or piss or whateveeeer !!!!....... cos you deserve the government you voted for !!
Now the citizenry and I are watching you as you walk what you have talked..............Cheers !

take no prisoners....
One can tolerate a fair share of "running-down your opponent" from both sides of the political divide, but what surprises me most in the current campaigning is the absolute non-committal stance Najib is maintaining in not only the evil "soothsayer's" oft repeated chilling rumours of racial unrest and about the way Najib runs the country but in also allowing him to roam free instead of tightening the noose around his neck for the traitorous crime of treason against the King and selling citizenships to illegals during this 22 longs years of illicit rule.
Its frightening how unruly and disarrayed the laws of this country is at this point of time. The Election Commission must be held accountable for not addressing/cleaning up the many sins it has committed. GE 13 will certainly result in the most unexpected of results. The country may for the first time see a new government and change will be a refreshing welcome after 55 years of corrupt rule, OR aliens will decide who rules Malaysia for the very first time. Ahhh.....but at what price, Malaysia ?
Cyber-troopers like to think they are the new king-makers. Even half-baked or less are hurriedly "engaged" for big bucks, by
politicians to go 'under-cover' to unravel any and every dirt on his/her
opponent just so these politicians can use wantonly to discredit
their opponent at ceremahs.
All gloves are off and its like a
'take-no-prisoners' free for all. Smut videos and photographs not so cleverly edited have surfaced too. But some are caught before they can take off. Common decency and ethics is cast out
the window. Lies and more lies are repeated as often and as loudly as possible and
naive and gullible voters gobble these lies up as the gospel truth.
Flags and banners of the other is torn down in the still of the night and replaced with their party's colours overnight. But the voters are not going to be fooled by such display of banners and flags alone. The intelligence of the voting majority must not be taken for granted. But politicians being who the are by virtue of the party they belong to, are such idiots, no ?
The Opposition post GE 13 would be the best to look out for. The new Opposition will also keep the new government on their toes constantly.....after all the new Opposition are champions at it and have done very well to have survived successfully for 55 year, no ? But how would the new government perform when the last government has bankrupted the reserves, looking at the way Najib's been spending to retain his grip in the government ? Millions and billions of ringgits are changing hands even as we speak and nobody's keeping track of huge amounts of cash flowing in and out of the country whether into personal accounts or into some family members accounts in some faraway bank.
And losers will need a safe haven to run to and with plenty of "reserves" too to tide them by for the rest of their miserable twilight years, right ?
God bless all true Malaysians and Malaysia or forever be doomed.
Happy New Year or Ugadhi, Poila Baishakh, Puthandu, Baisakhi and Vishu to all Hindus and Sikhs this weekend.

1Moneyfest !
Welcome to 1Moneyfest !
Did you see the video till the end ? Okay ! Lets look at the many ways Najib is making a very bad start the second time around.
Lets begin with the company he keeps. Everyone on stage has had a string of controversies surrounding him/her. Everyone has been accused of one thing or another. Its corruption, racism, prejudiced religious bigots, thieves, sex maniacs, porn stars, wanted criminals and arrogant lying bastards. They are all up there somewhere and for you to figure out who's who. The most obvious and notorious being that plunderer from Sarawak Mohd Taib rolled in all the adjectives described above. I don't even want to go into that now as I'm sure you, my learned reader need no introduction to his putrid mega scandals. Can you trust Najib ( "nambikai" in Tamil and over-killed by Najib ) who has such vermin for company ?
Then Najib does not even talk about an honest days "work" to put food on the table and build the nation. Instead he talks about something he knows best and expects every Malaysian to adopt. Accepting hand-outs or "crutches" every now and then will make us a nation of bleeding beggars, no ? It will make us nothing better if not worse then what some of us are, right now. Laziness becomes our nature and thus proving what that old corrupt racist and irrelevant Mahathir who once wrote in his "Malay Delima" book as a prophesy come true. Now do we want that Mr.Najib ? Surely not, not from that father of all things fucked-up in our country, the MahaFiruan. (I want to digress a bit here, just wondering why did the Education ministry not use the "Malay Delima" as a school literature text book but choose that fictitious garbage "Interlok" instead ?)
As usual, again Najib talks about his "transformation" program. He says we must change our ways and trust in him and fight corruption for a better Malaysia. Change from what, Mr.Najib Abdul Razak ? Corruption is a cancer deeply embedded in UMNO and BN. Bribery is corruption. Najib hands out BR1M, SR1M, FR1M and all that SH1T in exchange and a promise of a vote for his party. Brazen money politics, I say and its all okay and in compliance with your religious beliefs to form the next government ? Corruption "packaged" in the form of "crutches" to "trust" Najib and his gallery of rogues to form the next government for a better tomorrow is "transformation" for you Najib ? And that's the best manifesto Najib could offer ?
What transformation are we talking about ? Same shit packed in a different jar before, now and forevermore ?? Sorry BN and UMNO, you're 55 years past your shelf-life and there's nothing new you can offer us that we've not seen or tasted before. The rakyat are fed up with your lies and are cashing-in their chips for good.
We won't burn the whole house down to get rid of a few rats. We just get rid of the rats. Good luck Najib......at least one prophesy will finally come true....the RAHMAN prophesy.
Good bye sir.
Inikalilah !

MIC for ALL Hindus, eh ?
To know that Hindraf has been compromised is as expected but this Hindu Sangam, a religious meeting house for Hindu youths ?
Hello....something is surely not right with this picture sent to me via email by a staunch Hindu....now a protesting one himself, Mr. RKK. He questions the use of this premise for other reasons than whats clearly written on the board on the left (pic above) ? He also asks how come Hinduism as a religion has been hijacked by some idiots to be part of a political party ?
MIC the party that has been washed-out since the last GE in 2008 and periodically used as a lap-dog by UMNO to garner votes to stay in power in exchange for a few scraps and bones thrown their way. Yes , MIC the shameless party that sold its soul to UMNO and have even been labelled a pariah by UMNO in their education system.
Perhaps this same MIC will not even lift a finger in defense of their religion being mocked and ridiculed by Perkasa's most fervent Hindu haters as below, on a daily basis, no ?
For the benefit of all innocent Hindus who were unknowingly dragged into this "collaboration and compromised" situation by a few fucktards ( I like this nice cocktail of 2 words-fuckers and retards- that best describes these MIC morons.....and see !.....these here blog posting is edjucaxion itself !) here are the links ( here and here ) for you to read and hope you can see the video-clip, before you go and question the motive of this Hindu Youth Sangam's reason for allowing their youths' religious clubhouse to be converted into a filthy MIC Samys' politician's private agenda in Kampung Kasipillay, off Jalan Ipoh.
Stand up all good men and women of the Hindu faith and cast these hateful and evil politicians out, pronto !
Have a "Happy and a Blessed Easter" to you, you and you !
Shalom !

Damn, its always about Indians !
Okay, so P.I. Bala died in an ambulance on the
way to the hospital and a photograph of PKR'S Vice-President Tian Chua
is floating on the internet, as being DEAD and his "remains" was left
outside the PKR office in Malacca.
Let's not be hypocrites and say these are men loved by all. Luckily Tian Chuah's is an act of some sick mischief by enemies.
In fact I dare say, more will rejoice and heave a sigh
of relief then those who actually feel sad for them. P.I. Bala has died
for real and soon conspiracy theories will emerge re: the ambulance
driver to the hospital staff's integrity. Even more will attend the
funeral of P.I. Bala to verify and confirm it is really him dead in the
coffin.
That is the truth of someone who dies suddenly and with a lot of enemies.

Me, I make no
bones to say I'm saddened by this fellow's death. Let's move
on....unless you also want stay and blame Bala's death on Anwar too !...... ( and continued on the comments column...)
If
this Bala had indeed received what he demanded for to change the SD (
some say it's RM 5million others say RM7million of which he only
received RM 750k) this bloody fcuker would have disappeared into thin
air. Plans changed and suddenly he was basking
in the attention PR morons are showering him with planned road shows
and all. As usual some half baked event manager would have advised
Anwar and co. Bala would be good for the Opposition and he was sold to
the idea of selling his story to get votes ( I'm sure for a fee !) And
you think I'd trust a moron like him ? Sorry....don't expect any
sympathy from me.P.I. Bala was a fucking moron then and will always be
in my book of losers.
Seems like this P.I. Bala does have new found support from some monkeys in the Opposition. I encountered 2 of them today unfortunately. So what if you 2 mutts thought this opportunist was an asset to the Opposition ? Does that change the fact that this moron only came back to collect the balance of payment due to him from the agreed RM5 or RM7 million SD scandal ? He needed all the machinery available to realise that. Then if he succeeds, he still would have absconded, no ? You mutts who now think P.I.Bala could have been vital to see change in this country must either be plain idiots or must have never met a politician up-close to suddenly hero worship this cowardly lying P.I. Bala. We are a matured people and we can change anything without the likes of running dogs.
Oh and if a person dies I must be sensitive and say nice things, huh ??? Helloooo, just because he's dead does not change the fact the kind of person he was alive. Listen up you 2 morons, my stand and opinion stays. Deal with it, okay !
By the way, heard this on the grapevine another "Yindian" called Waytha of Hindraf had spent the entire 2million Pound Sterling ( approx. a whopping RM 11 million !) that was collected via donations from well wishers for his 5 years self imposed exile in good merry olde' England.
How about that !

After all, they are Muslims, and we are Muslims.
BAGAN SERAI, March 3 — It is time to take drastic
action against the
Filipino armed men after their
intrusion turned
deadly in Lahad Datu and Semporna, Sabah, said former prime minister Tun
Dr Mahathir Mohamad.
"There is no way out other than launching a counter-attack to eliminate the Sulu group.

What ??? But most of them are Malaysians and have been issued with a MyKad during your tenure lah !
"Although many of them will be killed, this cannot be avoided because they had attacked Sabah, and not the other way round," he told reporters after addressing a gathering organised by the Perak branch of Perkasa, a Malay right group, here today.

Yes....Perkasa.....your mangy mongrels to create hate and chaos in case you needed a distraction to flee the country.
However, Mahathir (picture) cautioned the authorities to be prepared for retaliations from remnants of the group after they were decimated or got rid of Sabah.

Hello...Mr. Apanama...in case you forgot, you have already given out half a million citizenships to these Muslims who were illegally there in Sabah, just so they vote for your government in return during your 22 years term. Sudah lupa kah ??
He said the Royal Malaysian Navy needed to tighten its surveillance on Sabah waters and check on boats from Tawi-Tawi and Jolo islands that could be smuggling in intruders or arms.

But these were the very rogues you embraced and aided them to become citizens of Malaysia, yes ?
"We cannot underestimate them, even though at first we think that their attempt to capture Sabah is a futile act, but they can become guerrillas and launch sporadic attacks in future," he said.
On adverse reaction over the government's decision to allow the police to move in first, instead of the armed forces, Dr Mahathir said the country's security threats were based on whether they were internal or external threats.

Yeah right ! Cos you knew they were all in possession of identity cards issued during your Ops Durian Runtuh. And that will make it an internal threat, right ?
"External threats are handled by the armed forces while internal threats are dealt with by the police.
"External threats are handled by the armed forces while internal threats are dealt with by the police.
Then why didn't you send in your Perkasa and butt-swinging veterans to deal with them ?
"At first we did not think the intrusion was as an external threat for they were on our shore. However, when it is clear that the invasion is an attack from outside, the military was ordered to move in," he added.

Funny you should say that Mr. MahaFiruan. As far as I know about the laws in Malaysia, anyone in possession of even a live bullet, the sentence is mandatory death. And these guys were armed to the hilt with M16 and grenade launchers....and yet the police treat them with kid glove negotiations, why ?
On claims that the government appeared to be soft in dealing with the intruders, he said the government did not want to kill them because they also have families and friends in Sabah.

What a load of bloody cockamamie rubbish !
"That's why we acted cautiously at first. After all, they are Muslims, and we are Muslims. We do not want to be hasty, but they acted in bad faith by gunning down two of our policemen. Now, the stalemate can no longer be resolved through negotiation," he said.

That's all it matters right, Mr. Corruption ? Being a Muslim was all it takes. Is there no equality to all races in BN ? It is definitely a Muslim issue. Had they been Filipino Christians, you would have blown them to kingdom come the minute they set foot on the beaches of Lahad Datu, no ?
On foreign media reports that intruders made their way to Lahad Datu at an "invitation" of an opposition politician, Dr Mahathir said the politician promised a lot of things for Sabah including giving autonomy if the opposition were to win the next general election. — Bernama

Hahahaha....read here from who that "invitation" came from. Funny how even the Moro Muslims leader Nur Misuari (MNLF) already knows who the "opposition" politician will be in the next GE ( here )

Beware the Ides of March...it will soon dawn on us.
So the worms are finally crawling out of the woodwork eh ? These post is for all the losers. Losers now because they were once promised riches but along the way someone and/or circumstances robbed them from getting their paws on fortunes promised. Losers because they would jump, squeal and sing like a canary if anyone now offered them an avenue or paid any attention. Now IF only plan A had gone on as planned.
Deepak the carpet-bugger ( here ) and PI Bala the moron ( here ) would still be clinking glasses, partying and rubbing shoulders with the ultras and elitists of UMNO. Instead now they are ready to spill the beans on the very people who feted and feasted them. And I hear these two idiots have become part of the PR entourage at ceremahs ( political road shows ) all of a sudden and Anwar and PR are certainly courting danger being seen with them. These are hardened mercenaries.....and only money drives them to do what they are doing. It's March now and soon we could witness the Ides as stabbing in the back is their favorite pastime.
Elsewhere Ridhuan "the ex-Chinese now Malay" Tee ( here ) is inciting high tension amongst Hindus like he was the chosen one in Islam. This racist simpleton "preaches" about hate. Of course that's because like me, he too has had the best teacher on that subject HATE, the great MahaFiruan Mahathir himself. And so this has got fellow bed-mate Vell Paari A/L Samy Velu all ruffled-up. Suddenly Vell Paari ( with personal baggage/scandals firmly attached ) is seen coming out as a "new"champion of the now defunct MIC and basking in his 2 minutes of fame. Who really gives a rat's ass what the fcuking Indians think anyways huh ? Ask UMNO, ask Najib, ask the rabid Perkasa mongrels. ( here )
And for PR, not all roads lead to Putrajaya. It has to be a detour as UMNO is surely "burning" (actually collapsed ) all bridges linking there. Now the grand father of corruption and Purtajaya "visionary" of Malaysia the MahaFiruan Mahathir will just wave off this bungling screw-up and utilise his infamous escape clause of having temporary amnesia. Maybe a tight slap or a good "dooku" on his head will help bring back the memories. It might also jog his memory of selling our country when issuing citizenships to about half a million illegal aliens in Sabah or the reason for the "friendly invasion" of Lahat Datu ( here ) by armed men from the Philippines. Maybe these armed men want revenge for being laid off work from the San Miguel factory in the Philippines citing religious taboos related to beer handling jobs. Or is there another reason ?
We Malaysians, on any given day, are never short for comedians and as the days get closer to the GE, its gonna be a free-for-all circus !
Enjoy the ride fellow Malaysians and laugh while you still can.......the best is yet to come.

Is MIC in BN just to hold flags ?
Wednesday, February 27, 2013 - 15:50
OUR society is increasingly more intolerant and certain people are starring in their own wretched soap operas to blacken Malaysia as oppressive and regressive in race and religious ties.
Hate speech and incitement that spark reckless and confrontational actions are worrisome. Yet, people with utter disregard for harmony just won’t go away.
The conveyor belt of attention-grabbing stunts has enlarged, and incumbent political weakness is disturbing. So grave is our distress that being glued together as one is hurtling down the tracks as an accident waiting to happen.
It is not in national interest that the appetite for aggravation is allowed to fester. The way forward is quite plain: it’s not the right of paranoid individuals to determine; it’s all about how we balance rights against each other; and the right of society to protect itself against trouble rousers.
That distressing opinion in the Malay daily, Sinar Harian, by Ridhuan Tee Abdullah, a religious academic, has rained scorn on how that balance should be struck, and in the process caused damage to the Indian community.
It is a toxic article that preys on the Indians. Ridhuan is no big deal, except that his stance presumes that Indians can be easily slammed with inflammatory generalities.
So, at first when the MIC’s strategic director S. Vell Paari weighed down on the racial and religious taunts of Ridhuan and Perkasa chief Datuk Ibrahim Ali — who had called for the burning of Malay language Bibles that contained the word “Allah” — it came across as just another statement from a politician.
The shock emerged when, in an open letter last Saturday Vell Paari told his party boss that he will ask Indians to vote against the Barisan Nasional (BN) if he did not push for action against both men.
He stated in his letter, a copy of which was made available to The Malay Mail, that he was prepared for the sack for his actions. The hard stance of the son of the party’s longest-serving president Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu: “As MIC members we represent Indians of all faiths and a member of a race called Malaysian. I cannot remain quiet on this sort of issues any longer, which tend to crop up with increasing frequency.
“If no action is taken against Ridhuan and Ibrahim, I would push forward my proposal in advising the Indians who to vote for. I would use the MIC platform to go forward with my proposal.
“The only way for you (Palanivel) to stop me is to sack me. The ball is in your court.”
He stated that the MIC headquarters might as well be converted into a banana leaf restaurant when it’s always a one-way street in matters involving Indian sensitivity.
“If we continue to remain silent on issues (that affect the Indians) because we are afraid of antagonising certain powers-that-be, then we might as well close shop and convert the MIC headquarters into a banana leaf restaurant.
“We cannot hold our heads high when our tails are between our legs.
“Is the MIC in the BN just to hold BN flags, to wear free BN TShirts, fill up seats, be event managers for functions or postmen to deliver cheques from the Prime Minister’s Office? This party was born to safeguard the interest of all Indians regardless of religion in Malaysia.”
“For the first time we have a prime minister who is ready to engage with the community. So, we have to educate this PM on the needs of the community and not the other way around for him to say what he thinks the community needs.
“We need to take charge in educating him on our hunger. If we fail to educate him to fulfil our needs, then it’s our mistake for not taking the bull by its horns.”
Has Vell Paari done wrong as a BN politician? To me, he is doing the right thing as a Malaysian who is frustrated with uncaring individuals who lack ethics and are bent on intolerance.
To be sure, there has never been a stronger statement from a top MIC leader during MIC president, Datuk Seri G. Palanivel’s reign.
Palanivel will raise the matter at the Cabinet meeting this week on the premise that Ridhuan’s article was in defiance of the prime minister’s 1Malaysia concept. Surely, Ridhuan who’s employed by the government and hits out at a member of the ruling coalition is guilty of insubordination.
His take on the touchy Tamil movie Vishwaroopam was wrongly linked to Hindu-Muslim coldness. He also arched to a dreadful level of portraying the annual Thaipusam festival in Batu Caves as annoying to non-Hindus. He further spewed provocatively that the patience of Muslims has limits.
The remarks were comparable to the Perkasa president’s call to burn Christian Bibles that contained the word Allah.
Sinar Harian has since apologised for carrying the article. Ridhuan is yet to say sorry for his subverted attack on Indians.
Most of us believe in a free society, but freedom of speech and the right to one’s opinion is one thing. Outright disrespect and being insulting is another.
The growing incidence of hate and agitating speeches in this pre-election season when passions on both sides of the political divide are inevitably high summons restrain.
One can argue that Vell Paari is taking advantage of GE13 to look good in the eyes of the Indians. But critics have to realise that this is a matter of the heart that syncs with electoral repercussions, especially with claims that the ruling coalition has recaptured the hearts and minds of Indian voters, who dumped it in the 2008 polls.
The MIC has been a political class in paralysis and it’s nice to have someone speak up distinctively about an issue that is derogatory and insensitive to the community. Still, I don’t think that would translate into huge votes because the failures of the party are ever-present.
My point is simple: The soulless behaviour of certain violators of national unity is detrimental to the nation. We must ensure the psycho-drama is not stacked against us.
Don’t Malaysians feel proud of our nation? I think there’s an enormous amount to be proud of in what Malaysia is and what the people stand for.
The people with no shame must get this message — and go!
