Who are the Rohingyas ?

Here are the facts about Rohingya.                       

1. Rohingyas are not Burmese. They called themselves as Rohingya. There are no such people in Burmese history and census. 

2. Rohingyas are in fact Bengali who speaks Bengali dialect, dress Bengali clothes and eat Bengali food and have Bengali cultures.

3.  Rohingyas are illegal immigrants who illegally entered  Myanmar from Bangladesh.

4. The Burmese government gave citizenship to many Rohingyas, but more and more illegal immigrant Rohingyas come from Bangladesh every year.

5. When they became citizens, they are equal under the law. No one may be discriminated against on the basis of their race, religion, ethnic group, or gender.

6. Rohingyas raped underage girls (under 13 years old), tortured and killed these little girls.

7. Rohingya bullied Rakhine people, did several arson attacks, killed hundreds of Rakhine people and burnt thousands of houses.

8. Rohingya has been trained by fundamentalist Taliban and Al Qaeda (cited from Wikileaks and other credible news).

9. Rohingya owns thousands of guns to shoot Rakhine people. (Please go to Rakhine state and research it. Dozens of Rakhine people are killed by Rohingya bullets)

Myth 1. They cannot marry and have children. Government restricts them.

Fact : Rohingya population extremely increases every year in Myanmar. The rate is higher than Myanmar population rate. How come their population increases every year?
Myth 2. They have discrimination on religion. They don't have freedom of religion.

Fact : There are many mosques built by Rohingya in Rakhine state.  If they have restriction on religion, how come hundreds mosques in Rakhine state?

Myth 3. They are so poor that they don't have anything to eat.

FACT : The truth is they just want to get free money from UNHCR or organizations. They built a lot of nice houses and mosques. They bought a lot of guns and rockets. How can they build houses and mosques? How can they buy guns?

Myth 4. Rohingya are not Bengali.

FACT: Rohingya are in fact Bengali. Please check DNA. Please listen their dialect. Please research their language.  According to the research, they are not Arab or Burmese ethic. How come they speak Bengali if they are not? Why cannot they speak Burmese if they are burmese. How can they wear like Bengali and have Bengali cultures.

Myth 5. They are tortured by Rakhine people.

Fact: There are many Rohingya in Rakhine state. Their population is more than Rakhine people population. Rohingya population increases every year and Rakhine population decreases every year. If they are tortured by Rakhine, they will run away from Rakhine state and they won’t be sticking around like a super glue.

Myth 6: Rohingyas are so peaceful. 

Fact : Rohingya raped, tortured and killed Rakhine little girls. Rohingya bullied and killed hundred of Rakhine people. They burnt thousands of houses and dozens of Buddhist temples. How come the whole Rakhine towns and villages go to Ashes?

Myth 7. Government should recognize Rohingya as citizenship.

Fact: Bengali government denied its own people. Burmese government accept them and gave them citizenship and equal rights. However, more and more Bengali Rohingya illegally enter to Myanmar every year. They are rude and aggressive. They don’t respect native Rakhine and bullied Rakhine people. Then, they pretend to be like poor and nice guys. Why did Burmese government have to accept these kind of rude hypocrite terrorists? Burmese government already gave out a lot of citizenship to these so-called Rohingya and they are equal under the law. Nevertheless, government cannot accept any more illegal immigrants since they don't do any good for Myanmar.

Myth 8 : Burmese hate Rohingya so much because they are Muslim.

Fact : There are plenty of Muslim people in Burma. Burmese people treat with respect to those people who are not rude, aggressive and murderers. Burmese people treat with respect to those Rohingya who entered Burma legally, and who are not murderers.  

Short and Sweet: 

Rohingya are Bengali who illegally entered Myanmar and killed thousands of native Rakhine people. Government gave citizenship and equal rights to thousands of Rohingya. They built hundreds of mosques and thousands of houses in Rakhine State. Their population extremely increases every year due to illegal immigrant Rohingyas.  They bullied, raped, tortured and killed native Rakhine people every year. In this case, they are systematically attacking Rakhine state and Rakhine people. They killed many Rakhine, and burnt thousands of Rakhine’s houses. They made over 30,000 Rakhine people homeless. They were trained by Taliban and Al Qaeda.

Their Purpose: 

Even though government gave citizenship and equal rights to many immigrant Rohingyas, their desires cannot be fulfilled. They want to make Rakhine state to become their state. They want to claim that they are native people. They allied with Taliban as well as Al Qaeda, and they want to kick Rakhine people out of Rakhine state. They want to govern Rakhine state as their own state.

Taking to the streets at night ?

This Bersih 4 that's scheduled for this month end may see new tactics deployed by the powers that be to deter citizens from coming out in full force. For the first time, this protest is going to be held at night. It is going to be a whole new experience for everyone.

Strange things happen in the night. Stranger things can happen under cover of darkness. Agent provocateurs will be everywhere to create mischief. Who's going to know what hit you if you cannot see where it's coming from ? And fear-factor tactics will be played up to the nines.

I guess ample time has been spent by the organizers to ensure safety and briefings on what-to-do in situations.

My advice is stay safe and in groups. And in brightly lit places too. Do stay away from dark alleys.

John Weinthal-rest well my good friend !

John Weinthal.

UP-DATE 14-1-2015: Ever ready to have the last word, John wrote this a few years back, ready to be sent  at the appropriate time.Well, whether the time was appropriate or not, yesterday in hospital John struggled to breathe for the last time.  He had a peaceful and quiet end, not alone
This is what he wrote:
"Hello.  I died today.A good, mainly fun life - travel and some adventures.I loved life in the UK for 18 years and in Malaysia since 2004.My timing was almost always right from birth, through missing wars, entering journalism and writing, and living a life of cars and the auto industry.My declining years from age 71 have not been as much fun.My greatest privilege was knowing so many wonderful achieving friends of all kinds.  I loved all of you."
This note was, most surprising, handwritten.  You will all know John did not handwrite.  His typewriter initially, and then keyboard, were his communicating tools before he discovered Skype.

I am still coming to terms with the really sad news of the passing of my dear friend, JW ! 

I first met John Weinthal  and his best friend Tengku Alang in 2001 or thereabouts at the NPC. A member of the NPC Malaysia, John was a seasoned scribe who had worked with a great many papers and magazines from dreary old England to Down-under. 

John can be a really chatty fellow too if the occasion permits.His heavy Aussie slang made me a little uncomfortable in the beginning   and at times and I had to force myself to laugh at his jokes. But as time went by and the knocking of chilled ambers got more frequent I got to understand him a lot better. But the man JW was a very private person never telling anyone if he was hurting inside or in need for a smoke.  

One can never have a better companion then Tengku Alang. It was Alang who actually broke the shocking news to me. Alang told me John took his last breath before he went over to the other side with his wife standing by his bedside.....peacefully !

 Like Alang, I too will miss you old chap ! Fare thee well and rest in peace John ! I shall raise my whiskey glass high in your honour, brother ! Cheers !

THE year is winding down to a close. In three days’ time, 2014 will give way to 2015. It has been quite a year. As I had to file this week’s column early so as not to interrupt my year-end holiday, I thought it would be fun to reflect on some of the most amazing things said by Malaysians in 2014. The quotes that inspired were few and far between.

Instead, the quotes that got the most attention, not to mention got us into the global press for all the wrong reasons, seem to come one after another.

So, here are some of the most outrageous, idiotic, and humorous quotes (in no particular order) that I have selected that, in my opinion, definitely enraged and entertained Malaysians.

I am sure there will be more to come in the new year, so let us learn to laugh about such verbal antics.

1. Controversial Kinabatangan MP Datuk Bung Mokhtar Radin put his foot into his mouth, yet again, this time linking the German football team to Adolf Hitler.

After Germany humiliated Brazil 7-1in the semi-finals of the World Cup on Wednesday morning, Bung tweeted

5. Road Transport Department Director-General Datuk Seri Ismail Ahmad had estimated how many people the Department “wants to see dead” in road accidents approaching 2020.

In an Astro Awani interview, Ahmad can be seen saying “We estimate that 10,716 people will die before 2020 (in road accidents)”.

“Our initiatives are part of the efforts to reduce the number of Malaysians dying on the road because we have a KPI.”

“We want to see only 5,358 people dead approaching the year 2020.” (“Kita nak orang ramai mati 5,358 orang sahaja menjelang tahun 2020”).

6. Sarawak DAP MP Chong Chien Jen was slammed, rightly, for his idiotic Facebook posting questioning why the national anthem was played before a movie, during the National Day and Malaysia Day celebrations. The MP later apologised.

In his original posting, not mincing his words, Chong labelled the move to play the national anthem as an “absolute disgrace and ridiculous”.

“Is Malaysia heading towards the communist Mao era where everywhere you go, you must shout out loud and show that you are a patriot?”

“The purpose of the rituals is to weaken the bad spirits so that the rescuers can find the plane if it indeed had crashed,” he told reporters.

9. Datuk Bung Mokhtar Radin, again, for claiming that some passengers are being “fondled” (diraba) at Malaysian airports and may be “sexually stimulated” as a result, while undergoing security pat-down checks.

The MP for Kinabatangan asked why Malaysia Airport Holdings Berhad (MAHB) did not use handheld scanners for passengers who had triggered off metal detectors at security checkpoints, but resorted to manual pat-downs instead.

“It makes passengers uncomfortable when they have to undergo such inspections. This is dangerous because it may be sexually stimulating (menaikkan nafsu),” he said, drawing laughter from the floor.

He said that checks conducted on women were gentle, but men had to go through a rougher process.

“They check us all over our bodies and sometimes touch us in places that can cause discomfort,” he added.

The Tiger sleeps tonight !

The passing of Cheah Keat Swee better known as Tiger from Taiping and who blogs as The Nocturnal Mind  came as a shock to me as only this morning an old friend Douglas Tay sent me a message urging me to be at the ICU of the KL Hospital tomorrow to bid farewell to Tiger before the doctors' were going to pull the plug from his life support system. 

Then this evening fellow blogger Duke Cheng informed me that  the Tiger has passed on ! 

By the way, "Tigers" is a nick for King Edward VII school because of the 2 Red Tigers as emblems on its badge and is the school across a big monsoon drain from my alma mater, St George's Institution of Taiping or known as the Green Dragons !

I met this big fellow, a school rugby player and a fellow Taipingite from the school across the drain, for the first time one evening in June, at The National Press Club KL to celebrate Bernard "el zorro" Khoo life. He was certainly larger then life but was a keen listener and spoke with a thunderous voice and a wink. We hit it off great from "hello Shanghaifish....." and knocking glasses and promised to meet again for drinkies......but alas, that never happened.

This news of Tiger's passing is indeed disturbing and I am saddened to loose yet another matey from ye olde' school and me home-town. 

Rest well and in peace my friend. You will be missed by many and I promise I will again raise my glass of malt, high in your name and honour.

Big brother is watching......

The Malaysian Tax Authority or LHDN has been black-listing Malaysians who have not paid their dues or have been evading paying their personal income tax or if they had failed to submit their annual tax return to the government. And this time the G-man has taken it one step further by screening Malaysians who have a penchant to travel on the many cheap tour packages offered at the many travel fair exhibitions.

Imagine you are queuing-up at some exit point and immigration pulls you aside and denies you the right to continue with the rest of the party just because you owe the government a measely RM89.49sens or so ! Isn't that embarrassing ? 

So if you intend to travel anywhere including Sabah or Sarawak please check with the official Income tax office website to see if you are a happy traveller or a sad defaulter.

Oh My Elohim !

It was a dark and stormy night, and the July winds were howling through the meranti trees all the way down the valley like a thousand wild horses galloping at neck-breaking speed to a low pressure point.......hmmm....okay lah.... let's start this story in another way. Its my story, I'll write as I please ok ? Here goes.....

I had just gotten off my Nokia phone and mentally made all the devious plans for the evening with a wicked smirk on my face. It must be perfect today. It was a very special day. So we had decided I'd pick her up near her house then head out for a  quick bite and a drink and then to a current Steven Spielberg movie and thereafter for drinkies to a place of her choice.  

So I excitedly got into the shower for my leisure bath, scrubbing myself luxuriously with Johnson & Johnson shower-gel to clean off the day's dust and grime at work site. Dried myself with a fresh new towel from Marks & Spencers and splashed a generous amount of Ralph Lauren aftershave on my chin. Felt real cool and fresh. I was feeling like a winner already !

Stepped out of the bathroom to choose the perfect wear for this very special date this evening. Switched on the television and zoomed into National Geography which incidentally  is also my favourite channel while I dressed. Couldn't decide between a Calvin Klein or Tommy Hilfiger under-wear as always. Opted for the former and then slipped into my slighted faded Levis button-fly straight-cut jeans. Next was choosing a shirt.....this was an easy one as I did not have many to choose from but the Giorgio Armani shirt from last Christmas always looked good on me....hey, heck any shirt looked good on me !    

Ok, so far so good. Now for that final touch of Hugo Boss parfum dab in all the right places and voilà....sweetheart, here I come ! 

As I took the left corner from the huge Carrefour billboard, I saw her standing there in her Donna Karan print sundress. As I drove closer beside her, I noticed she had on the Maybelline lipstick I'd given her the week before for no reason. As she got in the car, I almost died in the sweet smell of her either Revlon or L'Oreal perfume !  She looked like a million.....erh...okay since this is my story,.... she looked like say, 3.8 million ringgits !  

I am still coming to terms trying to back-track and retrace the events of that evening rather clumsily. I remember we had a quick bite but was suddenly decided on at McDonalds or was it KFC or was it even in Starbucks ?? Did we have a Coke or Pepsi  or even Sprite ? The movie is a blur now. I vaguely remember the all famous 20th.Century Fox displayed on the big screen and that's all.....I was out !  

I cannot for the life of me figure how I landed in the hospital bed ! I could have just as easily suggested she come over to my place and I'd cook her favourite Libby's seafood chowder in a can and Maggie mee while we watched some old love story on compact disc, munching on Nestle's KitKat and sipping whiskies on Schweppes ale and wiping her teary eyes with Kleenex !  But no, I wanted it to be different ! 

Now 3 days on with the swelling down a bit, and at home as I type on my  Intel Pentium chip computer, its all coming back to me like a ton of bricks. It was the Israelites who had messed up my life !  I am a Jew-lover by default ! Have I been enjoying it all along ?

Heck......What have I become ? Just look at all those words in  red-bold up there again.....OMG or should it be OME (Oh My Elohim) !.....through-out my entire life I've been wrapped up with products, by-products or vested interests of the Zionist people whom I'm supposed to hate like all Malaysians do, must I too ?  

Jeeesus.....Shalom !  

Another brick in the wall....

While most would like to laze and roll on the comfortable beds till late on a Sunday morning or wake up to go out shopping, one lady wakes up early, bakes or buys a cake and packs some soft drinks and heads East from the city, to the hills of Janda Baik to an Orang Asli settlement to teach English to a small group of school going kids of various ages.  

I had the privilege to witness her in "action" last Sunday as "teacher" Sabera Shaik, a renowned stage actress and a Puan Sri to boot too, taught English to eager kids and their thirst for knowledge in communication. A language which has been given little prominence by the government of the day and a language that has been forsaken by many in Malaysia due to the empty nationalistic pride portrayed by moronic politicians  on both sides of the divide. 

It was indeed a warm sight to see the many eager hands shooting up to every question teacher Sabera asked of her young charges, most who did not know the answer but attempted anyway as she rewarded them with prizes of English reading books and pens to those who might give the correct answer. 

People like Sabera know the importance of the internationally used English language and her tireless efforts to reach out, educated and equip these real "children-of-the-soil" with the all important tool in communication is highly commendable. 

This genuine vocation to spend precious time with the less fortunate by one so rich and famous sure has my admiration as a person. 

And that is Sabera Shaik.

sweet charity....

Today the social network went on over-drive whacking one man Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor or affectionately known to some as KuNan, the Federal Territories minister of Malaysia, who has decreed that it is a crime to give or accept alms. And to add to his callous threat  he's even beefed-up the closure of all soup kitchens in a 2kilometer radius in the city centre. ( read here and here )

To interpret in his words, all that is taught in religious and moral classes in any institution all this while is so wrong. This is from a man who looks like he's never gone hungry in his entire life. A man who  never know what hunger is as he was born in the lap of "royalty" and opulence. And to utter such unkind words to the children of a lesser God in his holy month of Ramadan. 

But I guess fashionable Bangsar and Lucky Garden in particular, is outside of that 2kilometer "KuNan radius" where numerous "blind beggars" chaperoned by able-bodied persons, strut from table to table in every eatery daily between 9am to 5pm, "selling" tissues. The selling is bullshit but the begging is real as nobody pays one ringgit for a small packet of 5 pieces of 2-ply tissue but readily donate the ringgit purely out of guilt ( for acknowledging their good fortune of not being blind !)  and sympathy. Nothing more, nothing less !   

I must add here, there is a very charitable gentleman in Kampung Baru, who during Ramadan every day without fail serves free and delicious "bubur lambok"(glutinous rice porridge) to hundreds who line-up in sun or rain to collect a packet home. And his "soup-kitchen" is smack within the 2kilometer circle. Will he too be charged for doing charity ??

So wouldn't the PM Najib also be guilty of the same act of giving "alms" to the hundreds of beggars (so-called poor persons) in the form of BR1M or FR1M or what1ever an act of charity but in reality a subtle persuasion to garner votes ?  Can we say Najib is just as guilty as those who give alms to beggars ? 

In the land of the blind.....

So who is actually running our country today ? Najib ?....don't think so. UMNO ? ....surely not. The King or his Sultans ?.....erhhh....nope, not any of the Sultans for sure. Then who ?   

The answer is, anybody who's got a little bit of Islamic education, is a Muslim and heads a religious department ! Dare I say we ARE an Islamic nation ? I certainly hope not. It is the State religious departments that actually call the shots in this country. These departments are a creation of the state chief ministers and are under the patronage of the sultan of each state. And now they have become bigger then both and are "untouchables". 

I say this because if you look at the affairs in Selangor itself, you'll realise there's a menteri besar who is actually a toothless moron. He has no balls to disband or curb the powers of the state religious department, wherein the courts have recently ordered the state religious department to return the illegal seizure of 300 Bibles back to the Bible Society.  ( here ) 

This MAIS or Islamic Department of Selangor can even snub an Order of the High Court and a directive from the chief minister's office. They can ignore the order even if the sultan himself were to tell them so. This MAIS is the highest law in the state and country as everyone is shit scared to offend them, so they must also be the real people running the country then, right ? (here ) and ( here )

And any moron who can summon up a small group of simpletons and register themselves as an NGO or better still an Islamic NGO they too get a shot to run the country. And in some queer  case, even a recent Chinese convert who unashamedly now claims to be a Malay,  can run this country too, all in the name of Islam. Isn't that ironic ? ( here )

Altered natives !

To start with the headlines should have read "Transgender Men shaved bald after arrest......" ( Transgender-a person appearing or attempting to be a member of the opposite sex, as a transexual or habitual cross-dresser.)...and these 16 plus 1 guys were gainfully employed as wedding planners. Looks like there's no place for these poor transgenders in Malaysia. 

Have you ever seen a transexual mat rempit ? So what can be so wrong as to exercise their right to cross-dress ? After all the report says 17 transgender "women" arrested, so how else were they supposed to be dressed, like men, surely no, right ? And to charge these 16 plus 1 minor RM950 each plus 7 days in jail under the Syariah Criminal Enactment is a gross miscarriage of justice ( see the rest of the story here )

I remember Hitler's Nazis shaved Jewish women bald to humiliate and brand them as out-cast during the Holocaust,and the NS Islamic department is no different today, right ? The department has no issues with the mega corruption in the state but come down hard on these 16 plus 1 minor cross-dressers like they committed mass murder ! Such hypocrisy in the name of religion is best shoved up high in a hole where the sun don't shine.    

But leaving all the rhetoric aside, I would attempt to say this is really a wrapped prejudice against an act of  God. Human Rights is a joke in Malaysia. Those holier then thou "arabised" camel fucking crack-pots in state religious departments pre-occupy themselves with petty issues like pig DNA in chocolates and confiscating bibles and snatching bodies in coffins but are blind to the rampant rape of the national coffers, corrupt dealings of politicians, raping of innocents, drugs and murder in the name of religion !

And these morons think religious rehabilitation is the right way. Wrong, you fools, civics in the education system is the right way, not religion !   

Of dubious excesses and baggages !

Seems like the most sacred and top priority task of the Selangor Islamic Religious Department or JAIS is trampling into Hindu temples and Christian churches and making mountains out of mole-hills by poking their nose into non-issues and  with impunity too ! Read  here and   here  !

They show no respect to any sacred and religious house of worship, as they carry on with their so-called duties with an air of arrogance and authority. In fact they actually think they have the fucking right to walk into any sacred house of worship as long as it is not a mosque and harass the faithful. Without a doubt all their actions go contrary to the Islamic religion but then, who dares to stop them as they have those buffoons-in-blue to assist and protect them without a question asked.

Do we actually need all these bloody religious watch-dogs to monitor our private lives ? It is so embarrassing to read of the many fuck-ups these uneducated idiots under the pretext of religion, have churned out over this past week alone and for so many years before. Now they crossed that thin line of "tolerance" and respect and actually done the unthinkable by barging into a Hindu temple and stopped a marriage from taking place. They have trampled and  ignored the constitutional rights and the freedom of choice to worship of other religions. Now they have opened the floodgates for condemnation from all and must bear the brunt of anger  from people of other races.   

Don't the government even stop to think why there is no "policing" bodies or religious departments in other faiths ? Because the government is too stupid to think for themselves, I guess ! Because other religions have realised that religion is a personal matter between him/her  and his/her God and if someone in authority asked them to pray or worship in a certain man-made rules and guideline way, they'd tell that someone to shut the fuck up and fuck off ! 

Now if only these same morons from JAIS had the scrotal gumption to go after bribe taking and corrupt government servants and corrupt politicians, then these"Arab aping" mullahs in JAIS and other religious bodies would justify their miserable existence.

Even the villain-most-vile responsible for creating all these dubious "excess baggage" departments is croaking in regret about the monsters he "fathered"......here !

Flavour of the month !

In these crazy hazy days of much thuggish and brutally arrogant behavior by UMNO Youths in the Penang State Assembly and at the DAP-HQ in Kuala Lumpur, its so hard to guess what will happen tomorrow. In the midst of all this huru-hara comes one small shinning hope for the Malays. 

A hope in the form of a young lass who might actually change the skewered mind-set of the simple female village and rural folks for the betterment of their kind. A young thinking lady who actually threatens the very rice-bowls of religious mullahs and muftis for their no-tolerance of any female gender bending their rules.

Dyana Sofya, a name etched on so many men's mind young and old, from both sides of the political divide. A girl every mum would wish her own daughter will one day turn out  to be. Young, untainted, educated, candid, strong and pretty. Strong enough to put many a seasoned politician to shame. Strong enough to take on criticism and personal attacks with her candid retorts. And its certainly not fair to compare her with Nurul Izzah, right ? Dyana Sofya is holding her own.

Dyana Sofya has vowed to vote against the Hudud (a ridiculous and obsolete rule not written in the Holy Book but coined by learned men of the Islamic faith for harsh and barbaric punishment for sins and crimes) and Pas in particular for their idiotic stand to implement the same in the state of Kelantan. 

She certainly is not the sexiest or most gorgeous candidate to get on the political bandwagon, but if elected she will surely be the youngest Malay lass who at 27, to hold such a high office. And she needs all the help she can get from every voter in Telok Intan come the end of the next week. 

Dyana Sofya is indeed a breath of fresh air. With DAP supremo Lim Kit Siang as mentor, she might actually make her debut in Parliament soon. With that, we will surely be hearing more of her soon.

I wish Dyana Sofya a successful campaign and success at the polls. So should you, okay !
