(Datuk) Nicol David?

Surely, surely, this Malaysian world champion, not once but twice, deserves something more than just a pat on the back. Lesser people have been given a datukship. Let's make her, if we are really proud of her as the PM says here, the youngest Datuk.

At least she will bring back the shine and the pride to the title "Datuk".

Any of you folks agree that NSC boss said our Nicol's world championship is LOW on the NSC priorities. So no big incentive for Nicol. Here is a Towering MAlaysian and we look down on her feat. NSC talked like it produce dozens of world champs. NSC talk cock.

Nicol is one of the people who really deserve Datukship. Not like those "kaki bodek".
She is the World Champion not once but twice. The youngest world champion.
I think MSN should reduce the amount of money given to FAM and other Sport Bodies that doesnt show any improvement, instead put their money on squash, bodybuilding (we have Sazali Samad as 3 times Mr. Universe), bowling, Wushu, Karate.
These sports bring glory to Malaysia.

Now comes the true test for the Government to prove that atleast there's no discrimination as far as "sports" are concerned. My guess is that the "pat on the back" is afar as the Government will go. remember she "only" a Malaysian not a malay or bumiputra!

Whatever title that conferred upon Nicol is not importance. Government should give her full scholarship to pursue Nicol's sport as well as studies.

Money spend on her is more worthwhile than spending on Mat Rempit.

the unfortunate thing in malaysia sports is that it is as biased as the government.

as what i heard from a friend, the chinese and indian athletes are often shortchanged.

one indian athlete was promised a huge amount of cash, plus a proton perdana if he won the the race he took part in during the previous commonwealth games..he did it. he won the race..created a record..it's a new category btw..guess what...he NEVER get what was promised..

2nd...all chinese and indian athletes going abroad for competition..they are only allowed one luggage each...and no allowances.. becos accomodation and food all are paid for them...

but...but...the malays.. get to carry as many luggage as they like..they can even carry the whole kitchen...sometimes causing overweight by more than half a tonnes..still allowed...and they are given allowances as well...

what the fark!!

No Shangai, the House of Datuks are already infested by the cream of the crooks (crop?) Nicol deserves to be in the company of the world's elite...not our kampung "money-can-buy" sawdust caesars... Why offer her a title that even a vegetable would have been ashamed of. Her name is Nicole, given by her parents. No king or sultan can add glory to her given-name. This family is beyond titles. If they insist on giving her the title, I suggest it be donated to NSC boss...probably a double datuk may clear his head a bit....he reminds me of the gjy who has his head up his ass....thus losing 4 of his 5 senses.Anyway that plick knows as much about sports as a toad would know about making a cheese cake. Just for your information.....
Nicol received additional RM200,000 for being the World Champion last year..
RM200,000 + RM20,000 = RM220,000
May be she will get more this year...hopefully

I have a very strong feeling she will be taking an overseas PR in about 3 years time. Nation like Australia will be more than glad to hand her a PR, and I am sure she will be more than glad to take it.

We are all not racist, but that doesn't change the fact that this country is racist and racist treatment looms alarge.

when hafiz won the all-england, he was treated like a god. when shalin zulkifli won some medals long long long time ago, they still call her the bowling queen till today. but how many other malaysian athletes who have achieved even better things but they were only given a 3 seconds recognition.

Um thats sounds pretty racist to me. Your saying that Australia is a racist country. I am Australian an I find that racist. If you have ever been to Australia you will see that it is not a racist country but a multicultural tolerant country. From what I have read in the media about Malaysia is would appear that it is Malaysia that is racist country and by your comments, but i am not influenced by what I read and have many Malaysian friends who inform me that like all countries there is a minority that do have extream views.
