The Judas's amongst us !

It is indeed with a heavy heart that I have to write this post . A posting akin to a requiem for my friend Raja Petra. Pet as I have always know as a blogger was more then that. He and Marina were friends of my family ! Friends who came by to visit during Christmas time and friends who chatted on things far from politics !

Yes Raja Petra had been detained under Section 8 of the dreaded ISA this morning ! An order that was done in a last and desperate attempt to put him away or "silence" him and hurriedly signed only last night by the Home Minister and to be detained without trial in Kamunting.....for the next 2 years (my hometown !) Such is the obsolete and draconian law of the land here in Malaysia ! And in the holy month of Ramadan too !

Has Pet been kissed too many times by Judas ? When he almost single-handedly was most vocal and instrumental in the sway of "change" votes both in the March 8 GE and again in Anwar's Permatang Pauh trumping victory ! No ? Are we all afflicted by this Judas' syndrome ? It is becoming very evident of even bloggers doing a Judas.....right ?

A lot of talk about changes in the government has been harped by Anwar and especially now , at the hour when my friend Pet needs the pro-active action and support most....nobody is actually doing anything ! How did this happen ? I also heard Anwar is to have an audience with the King ! Good I say but what about the much publicised numbers and the so-called eventual change ? I have always maintained ...change IS good.....but I am not seeing anything !

Nobody would want to be in Pet's shoes now......absolutely nobody.... all who have used him in one way or another, to be where they are now ! In the end I hope it is not Pet who had been had !....right ?

God bless Pet....stay strong and God is with you and with your family and my family will pray for your safe and quick release ! Cheers Pet !

On a personal note.... my dear Marina, my family and I would love to have you at our home again come Christmas time and........ it would certainly be hard to keep the tears back !

Someone once said to betray you must first belong. And we all know that the kiss of Judas was worth only 30 pieces of silver. It will now last.

I can feel for you, RPK and his family. It is in such an absurd manner that RPK was detained under ISA in the month of Ramadhan.

No words can describe how painful it is for any peace loving Malaysian to see the abused of the ISA, yet the law of the land allows this one man to do what he did. May his soul see the light of day in due time.

The truth will eventually prevails, I am sure.

In the meantime, like many other Malaysian, my prayers and thoughts are with RPK and his family.

Feel yr pain bro. Totally agree he has been kissed by many judases.

The fact is I think now he has more strangers who are his friends, than friends who have become strangers

As a major goblok I gotta ask this absolutely stupid question. Where the f**K is DSAI & gang when 1 of his chief champ is in trouble?

My heartfelt sympathies to Mrs Pet. I truly tabek the man & his family.

They abuse the law to their preference. To say that RPK must be detained without any chance of trial need to be given to him on the grounds that he is a threat to public order & national security based merely on his blog stories (which is in the cyberworld, not even physical in nature or in a real world) is really something painful to accept.

If it is true his writings on Islam have created unrest, tensions, riots and serious public order chaos, then it may justify the use of ISA as he is deemed as the enemy of the public and nation. But ironnically, nothing of this had indeed happened but instead, he is loved by many Malaysians irrespective of race and religion, for being the whistle blower against the work of evil deeds.

So does this justify his arrest without trial under the pretext of "threat national security & public order" ? If they say he had insulted Islam and his writings may cause Muslims nationwide to be angry, is that a valid reason ? It is not even proven that Muslims have become angry, but this is perhaps just a presumption only based on personal view of a few who are against him and not even the majority.

Well, most of my fellow Muslims friends don't see his articles on Islam as a threat & never have they become angry because they can see worser things being committed by those in power, who at the same time claim to be championing the religion. So which is worse actually ?

The Home Minister & Umno thinks the majority Rakyat will be happy and salute them just because they are seen as 'protecting' Islam by endorsing harsh punishments to those who they claim to have insulted Islam. They thought majority Muslims in this country will be applauding and cheering them for this cruel action.

But they forgot the Rakyat and Muslims in general are not stupid dumb morons like them. They forgot that the use of ISA itself is against Islam as Islam does not condone punishment without a fair trial, where the accused here is not given a chance to defend himself. This was clearly highlighted by the Perlis Mufti as well.

Umno maybe thinks they can live with it and hoping that the majority Rakyat will not know about this. At the same time, they may also want the Rakyat to believe that their action to use the ISA is Islamic but what RPK wrote in his articles are not Islamic, so RPK must be punished severely, though it is just his personal view written in his blog.

The dumbest part is how can the government expect the Rakyat to believe this latest decision made after the blunders created in the other 2 recent ISA arrests ? The Home Minister justified that the police had strong evidence to detain RPK for 2 years. Even when the other recent 2 persons were detained, the same was mentioned that the police had strong evidence for their detention, but then later they flip-flop with ridiculuous reasonings. And yet again they can say it is not politically motivated and this is done out of care and concern for Malaysians. Really can't believe how they can continue to insult the intelligence of Malaysians and expect the Rakyat to swallow all their stupid reasonings just like that.

We shall never forget that God is fair... and those evil hearted beings behind this evil act will surely pay a price for all this.

I hope & pray that RPK will be fine & released soon & may God save this country from the grip of evil.

melaka cheng boy,
You write with such sound reasoning....do you have a blog yourself ? If not, it is about time you started a blog yourself and do forward me your url !

and gobloking,
Same nagging questions I ask myself ! Ironically why isn't our King saying or even coming out to defend the rakyat's champion ! Surely His Majesty must take his rakyat's plight overriding the whims and fancies of politicians with vested interests....but ?
Sad indeed when you know poor Pet is now standing alone but with the prayers of simple folks like us !

knight's templar.....you too think Pet's been had ? Sheeeesh !

kongkor and tony g......ditto and ditto !
Let's flood Kamunting with raya cards this Ramadan for RPK and tell him we have not abandoned him....at least in thought and prayers !

‘Saya tetap serah jawatan kepada Shahrizat’

KUALA LUMPUR 25 Sept.
