"With blazing guns"

Wow.. I already like this lady lah... the way she's taking on this heads of government who are either irresponsible and/or corrupt ! I'm talking about our newly-appointed Perak Anti-Corruption Agency director Samsiah Abu Bakar.(read here )
Imagine the gall of some of these heads of government departments who "close one eye" to the perpetrator of graft and refused to take action against them for lack of evidence, et cetera, et cetera !! Were they in partnership with this scum of a government servant, or were they related or were they from the same kampong or were they threatened in the first place ? Or were they afraid if they took any action against these crooks, these crooks might spill the beans on them because they are crooks themselves.....sort of 'blackmailed'?
Oh......we could work on a thousand theories. But the refreshing thought is there is now someone "new" who is going to change all that and open a few old 'cans of worms' that has been quietly concealed and hopefully forgotten by the powers of our corrupt little 'napoleons'.
This gutsy lady was also born in the same town as I was, Kuala Kangsar, and I'm sure she's gonna clean up my kampong state Perak, with the same passion as I have for Perak if in her position !It's not like I want to preach but "Walk in the path of rightousness and God walks with you"!
Welcome and "Cheers" to this good lady !

hi stephen,

whoa there! don't get so excited. we don't want to be speaking (or puji-ing) too soon.
she has just taken over the department. new broom sweeps clean. she is just talking now. no action yet. of course, we understand that.
let's see how far she is able to go. we hope that she can go really far in wiping out the corrupt practices.
we wish her the best because if she is able to do her job, or be allowed to do her job, it is not only good for Perak but Malaysia.
meanwhile, we say to her : SYABBAS!
And now, who says it's a man's world?
(whoops, dont want to speak too soon!)

Yes dear Nuraina, but it is heartening to know a local gal is cracking the whip !
And I'm sure she's not going to be cowwered by anyone.
She'll do just fine !

I replied to a comment in my blog. I would like to post this same comment here as I feel it's appropriate. I may sound like a broken record but sometimes we have to repeat things so that it stays in us.

I heard this from my favourite preacher Dr. Ravi Zacharias:

One of the just man came to Sodom determined to save its inhabitants from sin and punishment. Night and day he walked the streets and markets protesting against greed, thefts, faults and indifference. In the beginning people listened and smiled ironically. Then they stopped listening. He no longer even amused them. The killers went on killing. The wise kept silent as if there were no just men in their midst.
One day a child, moved by compassion for this unfortunate teacher, approached him with this words. 'Poor stranger, you shout, you scream. Don't you see it is hopeless?' 'Yes I see' answered the just man. 'Then why do you go on shouting and screaming?'. 'I'll tell you why little boy'. 'In the beginning i thought I could change man. Today I know I can't. If I still shout, if I still scream today, it is to prevent man from ultimately changing me'.

Do we have any optiopns, shanghaistephen? What will be at stake and what will be the issues if we stop shouting and screaming and giving our 2 cents worth of how we feel and think. The deal here is that we cannot change the world or our nation alone. But a collective voice, who knows what can happen. And ALL of us must not stop shouting and screaming so as to prevent man from ultimately changing us.

Sdr Stephen, kita masih ingat 3 tahun dulu seorang Mr Clean yang baru menjadi PM, bertempik macam gajah nak memerangi korupsi. Lepas tu, gajah ni pijak semut tak mati!
Saya rasa elok kita nantikan dan lihat setajam mana lidi penyapu baru ni.
Bab cakap, kita ramai kaki cakap tak serupa bikin.
Kita harap orang kuala kangsar ni bukan tin kosong.
Itupun, saya ambil kesempatan mengucapkan selamat bertugar pada dia. a

all talk no action!
That is what 'they' are good for.
I konw, a deputy minister said he will look into injustice for my wife,
and so did a Minister, only to retract her statement and said my wife deserved to be sacked for having our third child! SOCIAL INJUSTICE!

So if someone is abusing their powers, ACA will act? Think again!
MBPJ (Formerly MPPJ) unlicensed Funeral Parlour for what?14 years? complaints after complaints....and they are still operating!

I am wondering if self immolation in the Womens Development Ministry will open eyes?????
MAS took away our life! 3 years of financial shit already....

Yes tony,
A lot has been said about "new brooms" but I'll be watching her and IF it comes to that, then I will be hanging her on my "Wall of Shame" postings for all to see and I will apologise for my renewed faith in the system and premature show of confidence in a fellow Perakian.
I have given up hope in every other politician and have the least regard to our police force... going by the way they have treated the peaceful protesters at IOI yesterday instead of booking the real culprits- the TOL concessionaires and that moron of a minister !The Police Force right now are at the top, of my Wall of Shame !!!

Shanghaistephen,

Me too will give her a chance for several months if she is able to walk the talk. But I think she still need the 'green light' from Putrajaya to " siasat" the sharks and whales. The ikan bilis will be her jurisdiction no question about it sir.

I think the new Johor ACA chief is also a lady( formerly Deputy in Perak ACA) and she too promise to do something effective.

We'll see and hope they perform.
