PAS almost got defeated, after being overly confident claiming it could win by 2000 votes earlier. How can this happened ? Hope Shanghai can give us an analysis of what really happened or could have happened there based on the ground observation that resulted in this 'nothing to shout about' victory.
This slim margin victory or near defeat should be a wake call for PR. Instead of the internal bickering now happening rampantly here and there, time for PR to strategize themselves to ensure they don't fall out of popularity soon that will eventually result in BN becoming more popular to take over fully back all states in the coming PRU-13.

Thanks for the reply to my comment and analysis done.
However, in my view :
1) In order to reduce the PAS majority, they need at least thousand of phantom voters to create that. No doubt those orange t-shirts could have came in as phantom voters, but they need thousands of them to make a difference to reduce the majority to 65.
2) To bring in extra voting bags as suspected is not an easy thing to do as each polling station is being witnessed / monitored closely by the respective PR reps and how could the extra votes be put into the polling boxes in front of their eyes ? The polls are also counted in the presence of the PR reps and it's quite tough to prove this theory.
Anyway, PR has to accept this as a wake-up call perhaps and not blame on phantom voters, etc for the slim majority. It's a norm to have these phantom voters as we know in elections but the problem is the actual number of PR voters who turn up and voted that day have dipped badly & this is a concern to worry.
Is BN becoming popular or is it bcos PR is becoming unpopular in the wake of many internal problems that caused the public to become fed-up with them ?
It's a good election to remind PR to get back on track & stay focussed, or not, get ready to be swallowed by its own tsunami come PRU-13.

Although it is mere speculation and "suspect" the fact remains when large amounts of money is never a problem and little napoleons are at you disposal to lure and manupilate the system, anything goes, yes ? And we can only blame it on PAS in their indecisive stand on "unity" govt talk and in-house bickering. And their unhealthy coalition being played-up by the msm to the advantage of BN.

You seem to be quite thick up there....of course I know they are EC....the question was the huge presence of them in a rather small by-election ! This is not a question of mischief or riot mo !....this is an angle of panthom voters lah....read my lips.... misappropriation of the EC system we're talking about ! Sheeesh !
