Datuk Nicol David.....Yes !! (part 2)

Sometime in November of 2006 I posted an article in this here blog about an award for this young lass ( read here ) and today, 1 year and 8 months later that posting is realised ! (read here ) Yes, way to go..... Datuk Nicol David !

I've been fortunate enough for the rare opportunity to once talk to her in person back in early 2000 at the club and predicted about her one day becoming the world No. 1, and jokingly quipped that she should come back to thank me for the confidence I had on her........well, she did become world champion, but alas...she never came back to thank me.....sigh !

Never mind that, as I am fully aware of her tight schedules between focusing on gruelling practises and the little time she has left to spend with her near and dear ones !

As I read the list of recipients and she, at 25, being the youngest ever, is truly deserving of such an accolade bestowed on her ! Nicol David , Malaysia is proud of you and you have made a difference to us all and made your parents absolutely proud ! Good girl !
Congratulations, Cheers and Godbless Datuk Nicol David !!!

It is a well deserved honour in spite of the belated recognition from her home State. Do you know her DB award received from the Agong is higher in protocol rank than a Tan Sri but carries no title?

Pax.

Congrats Nicole. She and her family deserves all the accolates. THis is one datuk that we will respect. Humble, full of drive and passion for excellence. A role model for Malaysians.

Funny that she only gets her 'reward" after BN loses power in Penang.

She is a world champion through hard work and merit.

She thoroughly deserves it and Malaysians should be proud of her achievements.

I think it is especially special for you because she is Nicol David.
If her name was Fatimah Selamat or Gunting anak Landak, it would surely be a bit different.

malaysian gangster, I really feel sorry for you with your bigotted assumption of me. Perhaps you don't know me at all that's why. But this time I'll let you off as you really are so shallow and need to mix around more....with races other then your own. You represent the 55 per cent of morons this country has bred through it's education system in the last 25 years, right ? Thanks for dropping by and I don't expect to hear more from you either. Cheers !
