QC likely to be Lord Lester - link 1
& link 2
By SHAILA KOSHY
Perak Mentri Besar Datuk Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir and his six exco members have several high profile Queen’s Counsel to choose from for a second opinion on their situation.
The three names bandied about in legal circles here as the possible QC who has been approached are Geoffrey Robertson, Michael Beloff and Lord Lester( pic ) of Herne Hill.
Yesterday, The Star reported that lawyers for Dr Zambry and the six Exco members were seeking a second opinion from a QC in London. (....click on the 2 links above for the full story)
I am told this "MB-in-limbo" Zambry has denied any knowledge to the above reports which appeared on the 23 and 24 February 2009 in the Star. Surely then he must sue the Star for such lies printed if he is to maintain his innocence, right ? But what I am more interested is the out-come of such an expensive expedition to seek the Queen's Council's opinion on local matters ! Were they "shooed off" or was there no case to pursue on legal grounds ?
If I remember correctly the last time when someone went to see the queen, he was condemned to high heaven for running to the English for help and not consulting the courts here in Malaysia. So how now with UMNO doing the "unthinkable "?
Sheeesh.......not shy meh ??

I presume all the expenses are covered in the latest so-called financial stimulus package ! So, don't worry !
Keep up the good work.

tak malu... first say the British 'menjajah' Malaysia(in sejarah text books)... Now have to ask the Queen about how to deal with our matters... tak malu...
I say man, what's wrong with running to our olde erstwhile colonial masters to tell us what is wrong with the way we do things here?
After all we have our venerable and battle tested Royal Malay Regiment performing guard duty at the royal houses from which emanated the tentacles that allowed the sun to never set on more than half of all mankind.
If we can be so zealous in wanting to protect the Queen, albeit symbolically, why not allow the Queen's counsels to step in to protect our constitution. We may yet have a thing or two to learn from our erstwhile white masters.
