"celaka"...continued !

Sunday 1st March 2009 (The Star Online)
Do continue reading the "celaka" issue below this post to compare the indifference's in both situations by our men-in-blue. {parenthesis in red italic-mine }

KUALA LUMPUR: Police used water cannons to disperse a crowd of about 300 people who had gathered yesterday to lodge a mass report against the alleged mistreatment of Internal Security Act (ISA) detainee P. Uthayakumar.

Yeah, right......where were the police at 2:45pm on Friday at the melee in the Parliament, huh ?

Seventeen people, including Kapar MP S. Manikavasagam and Uthayakumar’s wife S. Indradevi, were also arrested for gathering illegally.

Nobody was arrested in Parliament then, right ?

City police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Mohd Sabtu Osman said one of those arrested was sent to hospital when he fainted while lodging a report after he was believed to have inhaled the chemical-laced water fired from the cannons.

Your men were looking the other way.....deaf and paralysed to the harassment Karpal got sitting on a wheel-chair !

“We did not baton-charge them but used only water cannons,” DCP Mohd Sabtu said.

Yeaaaah....right !

It took about 40 minutes for Federal Reserve Unit personnel to disperse the crowd using the water cannons.

And the scuffle at Parliament took forever, cos your men dared not to intervene, right !

Cordoned off: FRU personnel keeping watch outside the Brickfields police station in Kuala Lumpur where some 300 people had gathered to lodge a mass report against the alleged mistreatment of Hindraf leader Uthayakumar.

Meanwhile, Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Musa Hassan said police were forced to act as the crowd failed to heed police advice to disperse and were inconveniencing others at the Brickfields police station here.

But...this policeman Musa didn't think Parliament sittings were being inconvenienced, yes ?

“We advised them on Friday and even appealed to them on TV and radio and in the newspapers not to come in such large numbers to lodge the same report because we will investigate the matter as a single report.

whoooohhh....what efficiency on the part of this policeman !

“They did not want to listen, and wanted to mock the police and create unnecessary problems for others.

oi...policeman Musa.....you are not listening to the cries and curses of the people for your double-standards, are you ?

“The police station is a security area and we cannot allow such huge numbers inside for security reasons,” he said.

So you say the Parliament is a zoo ? You may be right....going by what the "monkeys-in-suits" do inside...yes ? So finally this policeman has declared the police station as a more august establishment then our parliament and which needs minimum security huh ?.....hmmmm....go figure folks !

Musa said police allowed the group to be represented by 10 people but they refused to accept the advice or offer.

These Malaysians of remote Indian origins don't need representations and I may not agree to their issues raised but because they have lost all faith in their "so-called" reps in the MIC who are mere stooges making froggy-deals with the devil ! They want their ailing leader who is in jail, out and are also demanding the abolishment of the ISA ! Do you still not understand their plea, Mr. Policeman ?....duhh...very thick up "there", huh ?

Puchong MP Gobind Singh Deo, who arrived at the scene later, said the incident should not have happened as every citizen has the right to lodge a police report.

Any decent son would react as he did....for attacking an old and wheel-chair bound daddy !

“It is clear there are different standards practised by the police when dealing with such matters,” he said.

You, Gobind are putting it too mildy ! Come on out and say it man ! Damn !

....but I would demand and defend the right to protest in both these cases, IF there were no double standards set by "our good guardians responsible for upholding the laws passed by parliament".... the policeman !

There are two sets of law, one for the pro-govt. and the other for the anti.Pro-govt.you can protest without any disturbances from the police whereas anti, you would be arrested or water-cannoning by them.Double-standard,isn't?
