Athough I arrived at the Eurasian Club way after the actual "candlelight" vigil which was held around 10pm. outside the clubhouse, the members still managed to put on a brave show of solidarity in a last ditch to save their clubhouse even after this clubhouse has been certified as a 90 year old heritage site. Nothing is sacred or spared for monetary gains....that's BN for you !
There are about 700 members and about 170 signatures were collected to present to the relevant bodies of their displeasure and protest. Met up with a past president JP Monteiro (also my former teacher in Taiping) and many dear old friends of this club.
And Najib's government wants to deprive this small community of their clubhouse in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. Big mistake Mr. PM ! You certainly have been screwing every citizen of this country who does not subscribe to UMNO and BN, systematically while still pretending to hum the 1Malaysia mantra.
Promises, promises........what a shame !
