Malaysia, a safe country...bah !....continued.

Whoaa.......this is too much to bear witness anymore, folks ! There I was just an hour ago attending a funeral in SS3, Petaling Jaya, around 2 p.m. today, and there were about 40 people . A friend of the deceased was seated by the roadside, in sad silence, on a "hired" plastic chair, at the edge of the tent closest to the road shoulder, when along came a RXZ motor-bike with 2 mats casually cruising first infront and then took a u-turn, right infront of the house full of mourners and snatched that guys gold chain, which he had worn over a collarless t-shirt !

We , me included, were talking in hushed tones, across the road in a play-ground facing the deceases' home, and were not paying attention to the drama that was unfolding right there in broad daylight with so many people, until someone shouted and just about everyone stood in shocked silence and too amazed to react in any manner.....now such brashfulness can only mean one thing... these bastards have no regard or fear for anyone or do they give a rats piss to the polices' presence.....they know there were no police patrolling around and these 2 low-lifes rode off happily....and to affirm that suspicion, true enough, as I was driving back through SS2 I saw a patrol car, parked by the road-side and 2 cops (God knows how long they had been there !) having "teh-tarik" and "roti canai" at the neighbourhood mamak stall .....sheeeesh... !!!!....this scene is a recurring "deja-vu"......for me !

And here I read in the NST of the abduction and rape of a 18 year old by bogus cops in KB, not Kota Baru but Kapala Batas, home of our beloved PM, and yet again of a missing 22 year old, bio-med student travelling to Klang in her Kancil, in rockybru...Please tell me people, please, if I am wrong to say this country is in deep shit as far as security by police and police safety is concerned ?? Or am I being paranoid and being unnecessarily judgemental of our security and police personnel ??

Why are we always told to be responsible for our own safety by our leaders instead of them kicking some arses of the authorities responsible to take care of security and giving us tax-paying citizens a renewed sense of security in our own country ? Increase the police force ! Don't waste good money on foolhardy projects that only benefit a few ! Do we need to march to a MB's house everytime we want to be heard and action to be taken ? Pretty soon there will be a bunch of "wannabe bogus cops" headed towards JB to make a living there, right? With so many new police engaged to patrol the streets of JB.......it will be easy pickings for these bogus cops too !!

Do we now spend millions more and send "mat-rempits" to the North Pole, or perhaps make the largest flag to be on displayed on the snows of the North Pole for a select few to view, if the snow does not cover it first !! OR do we spend much much more in expanding the security forces like the police to make me feel safe so I can stop blogging ?? Over to you people......as far as I am concerned....my life (yours too...yes ,yes you too !) means nothing to anyone but statistics in a report by the powers-that-be to justify their expenditure in their annual returns.....PERIOD !

Missing student returns home

News Update by The Star Newsdesk

PETALING JAYA: Student Siti Mariana Suhaimi, 22, who was reported missing since Friday night, has returned home, much to the relief of her parents.

The Kolej Universiti Teknologi Malaysia final year bio-medical student went missing after leaving her campus in Shah Alam for her boyfriend’s home in Klang on Friday night.

Her disappearance caused a frantic two-day search by her parents. They lodged a police report, sent out text messages to all their friends. Her missing person story was even covered by several online blogs.

However, she came back Sunday afternoon unharmed.

"She called her mother and told her she was coming home," said her father, Capt Suhaimi Aziz.

"I will talk to her and ask her what happened after she rests," said the 47-year-old Malaysia Airlines pilot when contacted by The Star.

The North Pole event is not Govt or taxpayers funded. So don't conveniently take swipe at them.

The annual budget that has been provided for internal security is too little. The Civil Servants in Treasury, treat the Police Force like any other Government agencies. So their needs and special requirements where never fulfilled, especially now there is no longer Communist threat for a long time. Considering the geography of the country. The Police Force is grossly underhanded and undermanned.

Example is the Damansara Police Station. The station has to provide cover for a population of over 60,000 people (Damansara Utama, Damansara Jaya, Kg. Kayu Ara, Tropicana, Kg. Chempaka, Mutiara Damansara, Damansara Perdana, Damansara Indah, Sunway Damansara and part of Kota Damansara) with ONLY a little over 30 personnel and some half a dozen patrol cars. On top of that there are very large commercial areas like Uptown, 1 Utama, Mutiara Damansara & Damansara Perdana to cover as well.

Then again, young Malaysians, especially non Malays are simply not stepping forward to join the Police Force (one recent recruitment exercise in Klang Valley only 30 odd candidates from Chinese ethnic group turned up!) for one reason or another and every year around 3,000 people will leave the Police Force.

Crime is a people issue. The people need to do more and not just lay the burden and onus at the hands of the authorities, simply because the people themselves are too complacent.

When we hv a very complacent society, which 'push the buck' all the way to someone's else lap and expect wonders in return or else be disappointed, then we will continue to be like this, for a long time; complain, complain, complain & more complaints!

Do it! Everybody do it. No exception. Just like for the environment. The Government did not dump rubbish or hv any policy encouraging rubbish dumping into rivers BUT why is it ALL THE TIME the public expect the Government to clean up the rivers, INSTEAD?????

Why can't the public think for themselves and care for the environment, INSTEAD????

Take the lazy way out. Blame others! Blame the Government! Blame everyone BUT ourselves for every single shit that happened to us!

Hey bigdog,
where do you think UMNO gets it money from huh ? No govt. allocation for UMNO ? Don't be so naive-lah,get real man.
Either you are a big hippocrite or you are really stupid !
Who is the government ? You seem to conveniently forget we are the mandate and we are the TAX-PAYERS !As citizens of this country( does'nt matter who the government of the day is...wether we sokong or not ...the govt. by the people must take care of it citizens and you seem to take the moral high ground all the time, why ? are you an operative ? If that is, IF you do pay your taxes... and had to take these excuses all the time you will understand !Otherwise you you have to suck-up to your political masters as you clearly exhibit here !
Cheers !

No point if only Government is expect to do BUT the people so complacently do nothing about it. It won't work!

Be it crime, environment or dengue issues.

The people got to play more important role in making the place better also, NOT just the Government.

BTW, the single biggest tax payer in this country is Petronas and that belong to the state! The Government can do whats best for entities like Petronas ONLY!

Every single time you argue, its always a cliche'! Hahahhahahahahahahahhahahahahahha :)

For too long, non-malays have refused to join the police force. What goes around comes around. Now we know why it is important that people of all races get together to tackle crime. More non-malays, especially chinese, must realise they have everything to lose if they continue to shun less glamorous jobs.
