my name is Skeptic, Stephen Skeptic !

As much as I'd like to believe I can "trust" them, my gut feeling says I will always be suspicious of their sudden betrayal of their party allegiance. Yes, I'd like to rather trust my gut feeling now. And, yes I'm talking about all this new "phenomenon" of many former MCA or former MIC or former UMNO or former this and former that buggers who have jumped camps. Were they jumping camps because they were side-lined by inner-circle party politics or have they been "unloaded" and fallen out-of-favour/flavour/grace and/or in search of a new life-line and platform ?
Yes, you'd argue Anwar and PKR are en-bloc, ex-UMNO but wasn't Pakatan Rakyat warned about this several times by so many ? And the trouble the new Opposition had in Selangor in the early months of take-over with so many within conspiring to bring down and discredit Khalid's administration ? Shouldn't the entire Toyo administration be removed then ? Anwar was warned of this too ! Sure, now that they have got the state in better working order as compared to the then "file shredding" Toyo administration, the current administrative staff now have either "seen the light" and begun to toe the line and in fact have just about redeemed the trust of the public at large to a certain extent, or maybe they ARE they still plotting behind Khalid's back ! Who's to know ?

I would be very uneasy with the PR if they allow ( in fact some of these "new friends" of PR are even "praised and glorified" by certain quarters for their move into PR) these, ironically now in BN's terms labelled, turn-coats, to hold high positions in their new party or even offered seats to contest in the next General Elections. And so now we even have an ex-UMNO minister who was a member in UMNO for 54 years and an aging son of a former DPM joining the exodus ! What can they do now, that they should have done then but were seen to have been, enjoying the gravy-train ride all along ? As the oft heard saying "....you can take the moron out of BN...but you cannot take BN out of the moron..." hehehe !Mistakes in judgment can be very costly or are we suckers for choice of representatives to represent us and take us to the next level of decency in good governance from this cess-pool we call "our" government. You'd wish I was wrong, right ?

Call me skeptic, I really don't give a damn.

Good on You Man...

Yes when I saw the son of the former DPM Mumbled something about Democracy as with you the skeptic alarm in me went off.

But its OK for the moment to accept these fellows (I don't want to call them moron) for they may still have some scant following in the Hulu and Kampong areas where they inhabit...

The PAP Government in Singapore does not pretend to be the protector of any organized religion and yet the ethics practised in the public service of the city state emanates from a very high standard of morality. Which is why Wee Toon Boon a cabinet minister was jailed in 1975 upon conviction on a corruption charge and why in 1986 Teh Cheang Wan another cabinet minister was also to be tried for corruption but who committed suicide before the court case could commence. In Malaysia UMNO which parades as the protector of Islam seems to condone things which all decent people abhor: murder, treason against King and Country --- i.e. the EC NRD & UMNO conspiring to enfranchise hundreds of thousands of foreigners -- embezzlement of public funds and thuggery against innocent unarmed citizens.... It will be a rare treat indeed to hear the Home Minister KERIS make a statement that is not asininely fatuous.

"In 2004, the Defence Science Technology Agency (DSTA) was engaged by the Ministry of Defence to assist in providing technical assessment in its bid to procure some military equipment. After a few rounds of evaluation, the prospective number of bidders dwindled to a few companies. It was at this stage that Eng Heng Chiaw, a would-be consultant to one of the potential suppliers, offered DSTA's Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Sin Boon Wah a sum of $500,000 in return for providing information on the prices offered by other suppliers. Based on his long-term acquaintance with Sin Boon Wah, Eng Heng Chiaw asked the former out for a meeting over lunch. During the lunch, Eng Heng Chiaw made the bribe offer of $500,000 to Sin. Sin rejected the offer and reported the matter. In 2005, Eng Heng Chiaw was charged in court for corruptly offering a gratification of $500,000 to Sin Boon Wah. He was subsequently convicted and sentenced to 56 days' imprisonment on 15 Apr 2005." (from the web page of the Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau, Singapore: http://app.cpib.gov.sg/cpib_new/user/default.aspx?pgID=222#)

THIS IS THE RIGHT WAY TO DEAL WITH CORRUPTION RELATING TO DEFENCE PROCUREMENTS. THE WRONG WAY IS BLOWING UP A HAPLESS MONGOLIAN WOMAN WITH C4 EXPLOSIVES. COLD BLOODED MURDER COMMITTED FOR THE SAKE OF SOME SORDID MONEY IS AN ABOMINABLE CRIME WHICH CRIES TO HEAVEN FOR VENGEANCE. I AM SURE ISLAM LIKE ALL OTHER RELIGIONS CONDEMNS SUCH PERFIDY. THOSE WHO PLOTTED THE WOMAN'S DEATH AND THOSE WHO RECEIVED A LARGER SHARE OF THE LOOT AS A RESULT WILL FIND HER GHOST PURSUING THEM WHEREVER THEY GO. A CURSE ON THESE ANAK ANAK HARAM!

Dear Sir, Greetings. May peace and prosperity be yours always.

The copyright article [Najib brushes aside questions on Scorpene subs] appended below is from the online malaysiakini.com. The 'Scorpene' scandal occurred when Najib Abdul Razak was Defence Minister. Credible allegations have been made that the French naval defence firm DCNS paid huge amounts of illegal bribes to Malaysian Defence officials. Not only that but a Mongolian woman Altantuya -- the translator who helped negotiate the crooked deal -- was murdered in cold blood presumably to ensure her silence. Please give this story wide publicity for we want all the crooks to be exposed and jailed. We believe that a crooked lawyer has been sent to France by the guilty party 'to work things out' Thank you.

The above text msg was sent to the French newspaper LIBERATION.

There is nothing so devious that UMNO cannot outdo it. Najib does not need go out of his way so much. All he has to tell the French court is that he does not understand French or Mongolian. A Pariah from the state of Selangor pulled off the 'I no understand' trick with unflappable audacity in Australia and returned home triumphantly with a suitcase full of currency notes. The legal fraternity recognizes it as a binding precedent. So why demur, Mr Flip-flop?
