Highway Trash !!

How safe are our highways ? That's the question I want to pose today. And who is duty-bound to ensure that the highways, lay-bys are properly lit, manned by police (NOT "foreigners" dressed in security uniforms please !) and are fully operated by CCTV at strategic points at ALL rest areas ?? Of course we the tax-paying "morons"( to coin a fellow blogger !) have diligently tolerated the numerous toll hikes which our good 'Minister of Toll' YAB Dato Seri S. Samy Vellu, had soooooo always justified on behalf of the toll concessionaries...(wonder why he's ever ready to 'justify' those blood sucking companies, rather then looking out for the welfare of the honest voting and tax-paying citizens... perhaps he has vested interest or it is not election time yet ???.... just thinking out loud !) With all that money collected from the rakyat, should not the toll concessionaries be liable in securing the ride of users safe ? Maybe the toll concessionaries are harbouring these "highway fiends " within their fenced property and are in cahoots with this bandits ? Or why not the government... hey ! you (the government ) do get a cut (percentage) from the money I pay at the toll-booths ...... right, so...?? Questions after questions cramp my head but with no obvious answer....sigh....

Below is a long list of "happenings" on our 'never' safe highways dating back from 1991...( the list is even longer, but for now 'happy reading' the highway blues !)

MOTORISTS using the highways and expressways have become easy targets for
criminals. In recent years, there have been many reports of robberies,
kidnappings, assaults and even murders, especially at deserted rest areas.
Since 1991, numerous cases have been highlighted in The Malay Mail andNew
Straits Times . One of the most recent cases is the killing of a
Customs officer who was travelling with his family along the North-South
Expressway. He was killed when the family stopped for a break at the
Ladang Bikam lay-by near Bidor in Perak on May 26. Many travellers, aware
of such dangers on the highways, are not taking any chances. They have a
good sleep the previous night, make sure their cars are roadworthy, fill-up the
fuel tank to the brim and off they go on a non-stop drive so as to avoid having
to stop at the rest areas (especially the lay-bys). But will a non-stop
journey reduce the risk of being robbed? Authorities, especially the
police and highway operators, have been urged to provide adequate safety
measures, such as police beat bases along the expressways and regular patrolling
(which can also deter speedfiends). Many motorists feel that once they
collect their tickets at the toll plazas and enter a fenced-up property of the
highway concessionaire, theoperators should be responsible for their
security. Except for one or two ruthless criminal gangs, who do not just
operate along the highways, there seem to be many criminals - either
individually or working in a group - who use the highways as their turf. And why
not? There are no police stations along the highways other than the
beatbases at the toll plazas and the small towns along the highways. Some
motorists using the highways, especially the North-South Expressway, carry lots
of cash and valuables, and drive expensive cars. The criminals adopt
various modus operandi, such as: (*) waiting at rest areas, picking the
victim(s) and tailing them when they resume their journeys. * driving
alongside them and flashing a fake Police/Road
TransportDepartment/Customs/Anti-smuggling unit or any other authority card so theywill pull over. (* wearing fake uniforms). The crooks carry guns and
handcuffs to appear even more authentic. The highway lay-bys, where there
are not many shops and people, are convenient hold-up areas for these
criminals.Like a spider after spinning its web, crooks needed only to wait
for a tired motorist to drive up for a break before making their move.
Sunset will make the job easier, although some times the crimes take place in
broad daylight. Better security needed, say motorists, several motorists
interviewed by the Sunday Mail have expressed their concern over the lack of
police patrol and the absence of police beatbases along highways. Many
agreed that the creation of police beat bases at various parts of the highways,
including rest areas and lay-bys, would help reduce or curb criminal
activities. Lai Yee Keong, a 30-year-old executive from Kuala Lumpur, used
to stop two or three times whenever he drives back to his hometown in Alor
Star,Kedah. His first stop would be somewhere close to Ipoh, where he
would either use the toilet or his wife and two small daughters would buy food
and drinks at the rest areas. The next toilet stop would be somewhere after
Juru, Seberang Prai. "However, now, my wife and I carry food in the car.
We will only stop at the toll plazas if we have to go to the toilet. I don't mind
paying toll and then, making U-turns to collect tickets and enter the highway
again." Nik Razman Zaini, who works in Johor Baru, frequently uses the
North-South Expressway to go back to his hometown in Pasir Mas, Kelantan.
The 27-year-old factory worker will exit at Kuala Kangsar, Perak, to get to the
East-West Highway from Grik. "I prefer the West Coast roads as I will stop
by my uncle's house in Ipoh, Perak. The East Coast roads are not proper highways
and fatal accidents are frequent. "Still, from Johor Baru, I have to make
one or two stops along the way before reaching Ipoh. It is a long journey.
"In my car, there is a one-metre-long thick rotan, a pepper spray, a list of
telephone numbers of the highway company, police, relatives, friends and
tow-truck operators." V. Ramachandran, a hotelier from Port Dickson,
wishes he can carry a gun. Since that is unlikely to happen, the
38-year-old father of three is currently taking karate-do classes. "I have
been doing this for years. I give myself another two to three years to get a
black belt." Ramachandran, who frequently drives up North and East Coast
as part of the requirements of his job, can only depend on himself for
protection. "I really wish there are police beat bases along the highways.
If that is not possible, there should be regular police patrol. "This will
not only reduce crime but also ensure that everyone keep to the 110km speed
limit." Safety tips for motorists; CALL the highway company, call the police,
take down the robber's vehicle registration number (although it could be fake),
remember their physical description and try to use only the crowded rest and
service areas. And don't carry too much valuables or lots of cash.
Remember these basic tips when travelling along the highways. Yesterday,
Projek Lebuhraya Utara-Selatan (PLUS) issued a Press statement in response to the concern that there have been many robberies, assaults, kidnappings and even
murders on the highways, including the North-South Expressway. PLUS senior
manager of corporate communications Khalilah Mohd Talha said the company is
"working closely with the police on all aspects of safety along the
expressway". This include 24-hour patrolling along the mainline, rest
areas and lay-bys. "These efforts are also complemented by our PLUSRonda,
which have been appointed as the auxilliary police. Security guards are also
stationed at every rest area," she said. Khalilah advised motorists to do
the following: * Be aware of suspicious characters and immediately report
the matter toPLUSLINE at (03) 2692 0000 or to the police. This can be done
through PLUS's emergency telephones, located every 2km; * In the event of a
robbery, take note of the vehicle registration number and physical description of
the culprits. This will assist the police in their investigation; * Those
travelling alone should use the rest and service areas which are more popular
with motorists and are well-lit; * Avoid travelling with valuables or big
amounts of cash. The Sunday Mail could not get comments from other
highway concessionaires and the police despite several attempts. List of
reported cases. These are some of the crimes-along-highway cases highlighted in

FOUND - BOY NAMED YIN, AGE 5 !

Little Yin found. That was the glaring SMS I received from Yushaimi Yahya, the editor of the Malay Mail (mind you ,the Malay Mail was the only paper that really cared !). After 14 days of being listed "missing" Muhammad Nazrin or Yin ,as he is affectionately known, is safe and well, at the time of this posting, is at the Dang Wangi Police Station.
There are a lot of good Malaysians out there praying for this family and I "Thank God" for reuniting him with his family. Thank you all for your prayers !
Who says there are no good and happy endings !!

Whip 'em up real good !

It would be most appropriate for a school principle to exercise caution, proper understanding and the urge before yeilding the cane on pupils ? More so if that 'student' was actually a teacher !( read here )
It may sound hilarious but the teacher in question is not laughing as she claims, she had been embarrassed in front of her charges and is seeking redress for the incident ! Will there be any investigation by the Education Ministry in the first place as the newly transferred (two weeks old) school-head had apologised to the young teacher in question, for 'mistaking her identity'. Now may I suggest an absolute 'win-win' solution to this whole matter ? Yes, this 'cane-worshiping' school-head, whom I personally and highly recommend is to be transferred to the Malaysian Parliament with immediate effect...where her fetishes can be put to great if not better use...whipping.....to her hearts content all those little "monkeys-in-suits" hurling abuses, calling idiotic names at each other (not that the name not befits them !) and behaving/protesting worst then 10 year olds !
It is a circus everytime the parliament meets and to think WE (the decent, tax-paying, joe/mat/thamby/pangyau!! ) are resposible for this cheap show which is being played out and viewed by thousands all over the country during prime-time news !! Can anyone tell me what the criteria is, to belong to the back-benchers club?? These are the 'chimps' who are most 'wild' ...like they have not been "broken" or house-trained (a term one would use loosely, to tame a wild horse !) Very soon our so-called parliamentarians would be 'apeing' their counter-parts from less civilised countries like Taiwan and Korea...right?
So there you go... with one stroke (a few tabs of the keyboard, actually !) I have resolved and concluded the "investigations" and action that has to be taken, of this over zealous new school-head and her love for canes !
To all Malaysians of the Sikh and Hindu faiths and also to the Singalese race I wish you and your families a "Very Happy Vasakhi", "Varusa Parupoo " and "Subhalluth Avuruddhak Veva " respectively. Godbless !

Breast fondling Beast !

I read and had to re-read this article(here) in disbelief as to the trust-worthiness of our guardians in an emergency...ohhh....boy ! This nightmare is happening again !
How can this gross and vile attitude permeate from these very people whose sacred responsibility lies in taking care of the helpless patient or victim of an accident... ??
And even more despicable is an accomplice who enjoys a good laugh at the lewd antics of a colleague ! Where have all the morals gone ?
From now on, I would view with suspicion at all ambulance with wailing sirens blasting in a similiar situation, right...yes of course I'd be dead suspicious of 'what goes on in an ambulance from now on'... and I should not be thought of as paronoid! Why shouldn't I reserve the right to think so...even if the damn authorities claim that this is an isolated case ? There is no bleeding excuse for this type of behavior at any level of public service. Now what's the name of that ambulance service provider, again?......while you are at it, wonder why so many cases of patients die enroute to the hospital...huhhh...were they "silenced" ? Was there an act of crime commited aboard the moving vehicle and that the "patient" had put up a fight..? Not properly sedated ? Afraid the 'groggy' patient might "spill the beans" on them ....eerh ....?? I'm just toying with these ideas and scenarios for the rest of you who are dying and who dread to "picture this" ! No more hand-phones with cameras for these sickos on duty, please ! The authorities always very casually dismiss this as " awwhhh..this is only one case lah"....but hey !.....stop this rot now ! Why should there be even ONE case...huh ??
You know, we were 'once' a beautiful Malaysia, where friendliness, love and respect earned us a reputation as the country where the most wonderful and mild- mannered people lived !! I want that feeling again ! I'm not going to put up with this crap and I'm sick of this daily crimes ! Sheesh...did I say 'sick'... opps... oh no...please do not call for an ambulance for me ...I'll walk ...thanks !

MISSING - BOY NAMED YIN, AGED 5.

Have you seen this boy ?

I beg you all Malaysians , help this boy be reunited with his family. Today is day 6 and Shamsul Ghazali Shamsudin of Chemor,Perak is scouring the streets (here) of Kuala Lumpur desperate in the hope of finding his son who went missing while shopping with his family in Sogo ( a department store in Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman ).
At a time like this , alot of crazy thoughts would come into the minds of the parents, like what is little Muhammad Nazrin or Yin as he is affectionately called, eating, who is keeping him, is he safe , is he sleeping on the streets,is he still in our country or has he been taken out of this country ( it is quiet easy to come in and out of this country......ask all those who are here illegally...go on ask any Bangla, Myamar, Indian or Indon how many times he's come and gone out undetected... it is sickening but its true... and yes... call me a liar and being unpatriotic..But that is the real deal... folks !!) , has anybody done the worst to him...like these days of crazyness in our once safe country, which even I shudder to write about but you try and picture it !
What would my first reaction be when I see a child alone, maybe crying and lost ? I would coax the child to tell me if he is lost and that if he remembers any telephone numbers of his family , if not then I'd alert the security personel of that establishment and make sure the kid's predicament is publicly announced over the PA system and if no one appears then a police report of the child's whereabouts (as in this case Sogo) and then follow up with the police to ensure that child is properly cared for before, and maybe say a little prayer for his reunion with his family !
But the above scenario is not to be in this little boy's case.....PLEASE TRY AND KEEP A LOOK-OUT... ALL YOU CARING MALAYSIANS...! Even a few of Shamsul's collegues have taken leave from the bank to help distribute flyers in the city urging the public's help to locate this helpless child !
I also heard the shopping complex management has no CCTV footage of the the incident at the material time and location and also at all exit/entry points of the complex, which does not help the police much to work with and which so leaves us to believe maybe, little Yin is still somewhere in the complex, perhaps ? A stream of "worst case scenario" flashes through my mind !
Today almost all shopping complexes in and around the city is manned by "foreigners"-right from the cleaners to security personnel and No... I not saying or pointing a finger on anyone ...but give it a thought, please.... we have heard many stories of children abducted, sodomised, threatened and maimed physically and mentally, just so to be used for begging purposes by some scumbags for their daily financial support for drugs or supplement their income....it's frightening but it is REAL !
This holy week of Lent, I pray for the safety and safe return of little Yin to his emotionally distraught mum and dad. God bless this family please !
You in the meantime pray for little Yin and help pass the word around... Thanks and Godbless!

Mat Dohfus Pt. 2

"Focus on training and ignore the critics.." UMNO Youth Chief Datuk Seri Krishammuddin Tun Hussain advices the 10 selected "rempit-sympathizers" of UMNO Youth (here) who will jump from 6,000 ft above sea level over the Artic in -35 degrees Celsius temperatures between April 15-20, 2007.

Why is the minister so vehemently trying to prove these 10 youths' credibility? In my earlier post
(read here ) UMNO Putera Youth Bureau Chairman a certain Datuk AAAR (se) said something similiar and now our good minister is 'lip-syncing' like a canary that same tune ? Does the future of UMNO Putera rests on the "sucess" of this jump ? Surely this minister's got his expectations of our youth in a confused 'mode for success'!

So excuse me Mr. UMNO Youth Chief, don't you ever say this 'expedition' is not funded by me, you( hmm... you..I'm not so sure !!) and all tax-paying citizens of this country ! Every thing UMNO does IS with public funds, so stop saying we have no right to know how "wisely" our taxed ringgits are being used ! And how much is all this going to put us back with... huh...1 million, 2 million or is this running into the billion ?? (these days the word million has become 'loose change' and billion is the norm!)
Is it, also true the team leader 'broke' his leg recently during 'practise ' jumps ? And that he won't be leaving or leading his charges to the North Pole ? How much will these choosen 'princely kids' be paid after the expedition ? Who's paying them ? Or will they all be given branch chairman positions in UMNO Putera ? Is our honorable Datuk AAAR also a part of the contigent...?( of course meh.... there should only be 10 youths plus a couple of extras following the expedition but then you know... this is Bolehland lah ....so must take 150 supporters, sympathizers, hangers-on, pachiks, machiks, ketua kampongs, leeches, machais, cameramen and not forgetting the make-up artists and stunt- doubles for comfort..heh...heh! )
Questions, questions, questions... and I need answers babe... you think I have no right to ask ? Now go on, you tell me..!

" Oie... Jangan buat lagi tahuuu...?"

Ahhh...yes , the Ampang Jaya Municipal Council (MPAJ) is 'stealing' the limelight in the Malay Mail again( here ) and it's got me all worked up ......so pray, tell me, are we going to be detoxed of this highly lethal and poisionous 'cancer' that has grown so comfortable in our midst, dressed in dark blue uniforms, walking shamelessly as enforcement and up-keepers of laws/regulations ?

Laws created first, in the parliament ,then translated/misconstrued at state councils and modified/misconstrued/misunderstood further at the local councils and enforced upon tax-payers.....these laws (if you may want to call it that !) at local councils are nothing more then rules and regulations, translated and modified from council to council, state to state and applicable and revokable at the whims and fancies, and by the pleasures of the top dog in the council and /or state !

This is the ROT !

So 19 MPAJ government servants (I use the term government servants always, because they are, whether directly or indirectly, are paid by you and me, as rate/tax payers and who should be doing what we expect of them to be doing in their respective capacity as government servants !) were issued show-cause letters over negligence for not carrying out their duties in closing down a theme park which operated without a license for 8 bloody years !!

After "some" investigations from within the council "which deliberated for 3 hours on the fate of the 19 government servants", each government servant was issued a 'warning' and the whole controversy was concluded and considered closed ! Now how about that ???

Oh yes keep your focus as we have such a transparent government and we are governed by a Islam Hadari PM... and Datuk Ramli Mahmud, Selangor State Secretary, "thinks" the decision was okay ,when asked to comment on the out-come of the 19 corrupt government servants ! And yet another moron hopes that the 19 will be more careful the...errhh... next time !! ( oops ...did I say 'corrupt' ?...I am not supposed to say such things as they were not proven guilty beyond reasonable doubt !!)

Just goes to show how deep-rooted this corruption has set in the system whilst the government preaches about openess, democracy, transprency and all that bloody bullshit !! Surely this decision of a 'warning' is a joke and yes, I'm pissed off !!
Syabas UMNO, Syabas Barisan National and Syabas to our beloved and holy PM !

My Apologies to all Lady Bloggers !

I want to apologise to all lady bloggers here in Malaysia and the world over! Please do not include/associate the rest of us bloggers/and males, with that moron who's chauvinistic remark has riled all lady bloggers....as a royal politician, Tengku Adnan should exercise tact and good manners and not take a cheap-blow at bloggers - we are not liars... men or women bloggers ! Our Mr. Tourism Minister spoke like a true Malaysian UMNO politician.... through his arse !

Now I demand a public apology from this dimwit ! In fact only in this "bodohland" can a Minister of Tourism, get away with such stupid, disrespectful and biased statement against the many women whose very votes put him where he is today ! What a poor excuse for a minister !! Shame on you...Tengku ! (did I say.....Tengku ??) Can anyone in Parliament demand a public apology from this Tengku ? eerh... Mr. Prime Minister.....sir..?

And Tengku, you're calling my 13 year old god-child a liar too ? She is a responsible blogger and she writes about things the way a 13 year old sees (
here) and I believe every word she prints (even if they are misspelt...! ) as opposed to the lies you spew from your mouth ! Shame on you...NOW apologise !

I wonder where this joker gets his facts from ? ( from PAS..huh..?) I wonder what he thinks of his family members especially girls ...if they ever blogged ! He might even have told them it is "haram" for girls to blog !! This cave-man attitude is what's making us (the rest of us-decent Malaysians !) the brunt of jokes all over the world...for our visitors to take back to their home-lands.

This clowns never cease to astound me time after time .....!

"tell" - News Unglossed !

Today was the launch of the latest magazine "tell", and boy what a splash it was...at least for it's dear publisher, Wahti Mahidin of "Waht's up" fame.

Yes darlings, I did have a great time at the party and I want to say "Thank You" to all at 'tell' (funny I cannot even use a capital letter to spell this mag!!) And I'm not telling you why !
Good and glossy and this mag's got some real 'heavies' at the helm with Sharifah Sakinah, Dina Zaman, Adam Lee, Michelle Gunaselan... just to name a few.
Targeting readers above 30 and 'thinking', I'd say this mags' got attitude !
Once again "Congra..ku..ku..lationss" to the whole gang and thanks for the invite !

Cheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeers !!!

I'm not "tell"ing anything more.. 'hic'...go get one for yourself 'hic' when it hits the news-stand tomorrow ! Good night .......hic!!

"Happy Chap Goh Meh"

Well looks like the Chinese New Year celebrations (if you can call it that because I cannot tell by this 'deafening silence'...less the fire-crackers !) are finally over and tomorrow it will be back to the humdrum called work, for most of us.

Overheard at a gaming outlet, this afternoon that there was a van being driven around the Happy Garden housing area, off Old Klang Road in Kuala Lumpur, with four to six men in mufti, looking out-for any persons, gambling in the privacy of their homes...How much more sneakier will these authorities get ? If they really are from the government enforcement agency( and not some bogus crooks posing as such..) going after illegal gamblers, why do these morons peep into peoples homes to make arrests when all they have to do is plant themselves near the many licensed gaming outlets and arrest all those Muslims going in and out of these outlets ! Gambling for Muslims is wrong but to sneak around private homes of Malaysians of Chinese descent is ridiculous. Gambling during the Chinese New Year season is an integral part of the celebrations.....just as fire-crackers is as to wading off "evil spirits" !

Notice how this 2 major activities/customs have been slowing phased out in our society... and don't forget the "lion dancers" and the throwing of oranges....by this actions ( whatever reasons given by the authorities) they are just an excuse, from a bigger master plan, to further eradicate cultures and practices of other fellow races in this country ! And I am neither a racist nor a religious bigot, in all honesty ! I am a Malaysian, period !

Shouldn't the practice of all 3 major races of this country be encouraged and put in full gear to enhance unity and respect most especially during this "Visit Malaysia Year 2007" ? Why do all foreign visitors think we (as in Malaysians) are UNIQUE ?? Why do you think foreigners come to our shores ? To see the millions of illegal Banglas and Indons living in harmony here in Malaysia ? Of course not, it has everything to do with the different way we (as in Malaysians) practice our 3 different major races, religions and cultures in harmony..... that's why !!!

Next year will see the banning of "Yee Sang" during Chinese New Year ...and eerhh...the drinking of whiskey by Hindus during Deepavali..... mark my word ! And the government spends millions in all those cockamanie projects thus creating instant millionaires in the pretext of good governance under the guise of promoting racial harmony, tolerance and respect !

My family and I wish all a "Happy Chap Goh Meh " and to Rocky "Congratulations " on being cited in Wikipedia...another first, man...and..YOUUUU have arrived and here to stay !

Dracula sucks.. So does Sammy !

Dato Seri ( loosely equates....Count ) S. Samy Vellu-click here -hehehehehe... I'm still in a fit just looking at this guy and I actually thought be was wearing a 'french-beret' ! You too.....go ahead and enjoooooooy !

Actually I did this posting just so you can see this sucker in the different angles and man... it is funny and aptly worded "he's speaking his mind"... erhh...duh.. man has none after the " hair-planting " season was over ! Che wannabe, hehehehehe.. ??
Come to think of it ...with all due respect, don't bother reading the exclusive... it's the same crap he gives in every interview... Just enjoy the visuals..if you can 'read-visuals', in one of the shots, he's index finger is saying "up- yours"(my interpretation) to all the tax-paying and voting rakyats, who dare disagree and question his level of reasoning (does that make me "anti-government" ??..Rubbish !! ).....and now.....that's entertaintment !!

Have a great Monday...and to all Malaysians, good nite and God bless, where ever you are..!

I am Tagged !...you are"deleted"!

This is like saying "choope" ! remember the game of "achi-choope " anyone...??? helllooo....??
Well,... when my dear Nuraina tagged me on her blog, yesterday I was wondering...what?? what in the world was she talking about.. in fact I even thought tag meant I was linked to her blog... BUT wait.. I WAS already linked to her blog.. thanks to TV Smith.....so why did she sms me, to say she's tagged me on her blog ??? Is it like saying "YOU ARE DELETED"??

Well after last night's meeting with her at my favorite "
watering-hole" and a little unwarranted imput from Rocky I finally got a clearer picture of this game of TAG ! Me thinks it's a lot like "a feel-good" post once in a while (away from the morbid mess that surrounds our miserable everyday lives !) to bring the curious readers' attention to the blogger him/herself confessing to some dark, juicy and wierd (6 ?) things....whoa...help me here please.. cos I don't think I got 6 'weird' traits to write about... in fact I can't think of even ONE !

Well... ehhm...maybe one...okay.. I snore in my sleep!...well... is that bad or what..? everyone snores right ? yes.. but loud enough to wake you up ?Ehrr.. No.. but I do sometimes wake up and wonder who's making all that noise to wake me ..only to find IT was my own snoring that woke me up in the first place....Oh. No...why am I saying all this bedroom secrets for anyways !!! choope !... folks thats all... and the other weird things as Rocky readily suggested were 2.)I'm weird that I don't remember I'm supposed to cite 5 more weird things, 3.) wierd I'm not a "weirdo" 4.) even weirder I can't recognise the wierd company I keep... 5.)Now...what's wrong with the company I keep anyway ? If you see my links on this blog ....NOW there's a wierd link already !!! 6.)...but seriously... this may sound WEIRD.... they are my BEST brothers and darlings and I'd think this screwed-up world needs more people like them anyday !!!

Now over to you...
malay-male,tell them all, Amir... stand-up philosopher, Tony, vapourising crap into intelligence,... zorro-unmasked, Bernard the si-fu,... skthew, another blog savy brother, sheih,.... needs no introduction in cyberspace and lastly BUT definitely not the least... Rocky... heh...heh... try and wrangle out of this one bro !!

YOU GUYS ARE ALL TAGGED !...don't ask me ...ask Nuraina , she started all this, guys !!!

What the heck... I'm just warming-up and am beginning to enjoy this...sheesh... !!!

Ai...yo..yo..Samy !

He wears his "hair" like a crown ( clown ?) and is the mouth-piece(with an unmistakable accent!) of a major group of Malaysians of Indian decent...the longest serving (surviving !) cabinet minister in this country or probably the world... A post he will cling on to, for all he is worth, to his grave I believe !
With all due respect(?).... Sammy to me, Semi-Value to some and names too obscene to be printed on my blog, by the masses ! Yes, he is the ever infamous, Minister of Works, Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu- A very Godly name too !

And now that our beloved jet-setting PM has agreed .... in principle to allow toll concessionaries agreements to be made public...Sammy's dancing a different tune(
here ) ! He's making it look like it was our beloved and pious PM who was responsible for not allowing the tax-paying citizens from peeking at the agreements.
Why the about turn of events suddenly ? Only recently we, the law abiding and tax-paying citizens were threatened with ISA and OSA if found with a copy of the toll concessions agreement....why ? Ah ha!... Elections coming near, right ? Because our beloved PM said so..yes ? Come on Sammy, you can do better then that lah, stop this hippocrisy !...every time I pay the unrequired highway toll-tax at toll-booths I curse you and the people who elected you to this position, and for the unnecessary hike in toll charges, YOU have imposed on me and the populace! Can't you bring down the price of road-tax at least ? And kick those motor insurance companies (your friendly GLCs) to reduce the premiums on our vehicles ? Are you out of your mind.. with all that foreign agents sticking out of your scalp ???
Don't do this crap just to garner votes Sammy...don't just review toll charges in desired places only.. like Sungei Nyior, Butterworth... just to apple-polish the PM's neighbourhood/constituency or in Sungei Siput...! Did you not hear the cries of the rakyat at IOI recently or at Sungei Long or in Cheras et cetera...et cetera??? Are the voices of the rakyat falling on deaf ears ? You got a problem hearing, Sammy ?
The rakyat and I will be watching you this coming elections, Sammy ! (and so will God !)

Chastity Belts and Dick Sheaths !

It never fails to amaze me of the many "moronic" remarks, so called scholars and moral-guardians of Islam come up with ! Take this suggestion mooted by Islamic scholar Datuk Abu Hassan Din.. !

Come on lah...you I'm no religious scholar and you don't have to be a rocket scientist to rebut this 'mother of all "idiocy"- cock-eyed view on women' in this 'Islam Hadari' country of ours ! And I tell you, it is these same men of "cultured" religious backgrounds that hold the same dick-eyed view of a rather "simple" and "honest" gesture of a clean hand placed on an exposed arm of a famous international starlet !... ahemmm..more so if that hand belonged to an honest and pious leader like our beloved jet-setting PM !

To thwart the rising rape and incest cases in this country (and NOT only in the east coast of this peninsula) and as to what the 'holy-cow' had suggested... I pronounce ...IT is time to castrate all men found guilty of the misdeed instead and not blame the women only. Maybe an iron-cast dick-sheath bolted round his waist and weighing 10 pounds to be worn by this sex-fiend for eternity ! Sheesh... this Datuk Abu Hassan Din has taken our fast progressing country, in the name of religion, smack !...back into the Dark Ages ! We are independent 50 years today and this is the dung we have to put up with...hhmmm... Shame on you "Datuk"!!

You don't have to go to university to learn to protect and respect your family ! For God sake they are your own flesh and blood man....respect life.. guard them from the evils and protect them from all dangers.....NOT rape them ! And you really don't NEED religion to tell you that, you idiot !

This should not be the topic today, I'm upset and I apologise I have digressed... To all Malaysians here and to all Chinese the world over, my family and I would like to wish you a Very Happy "Gong Xi Fa Cai" and speaking of wishes....... how come in the old days we spelt it "Kong Hee Fatt Choy " huh ? Well I guess thats in keeping with the times and not the reverse ! Learn Datuk !

YAAAAAAAM SEEENNNNG !! Go easy on that nasty stuff, folks ...hic......hic !!

Mat Dohfus !!

Mat-Rempits are in the spot-light again, going by what our UMNO Putera Movement Chief Datuk Abdul Azeez Abd Rahim says ! Go on click here and choke yourself with a good laugh at what this "dohfus" has to say !!

For the life of me , how is a parachute jump ( by 10 mat-rempit sympathisers) from 1,500m over the North Pole, on the 19th of April, going to make our "princely youths"(i.e. Putera UMNO) into "glocal human assets" as this Datuk AAAR ( I'm tempted to add a se ? ) claims, and as what our beloved leaders say and expect of, of them, beats me ! 'An expedition like this would instill a sense of responsibility and resourcefulness in them' ....hmmmm (money wasted on this fool-hardy expedition, can be used for the many still suffering families of our recent floods ! ). Where do our glocal politicians learn to talk like that duh !... my...my...?? Oxford ? Cambridge ?
For crying out loud, who's paying for these goons in the first place and why can't these UMNO princes do something more responsible like "KICKING THE ARSES OF OUR MAT REMPITS, OFF OUR ROADS AND STOP THEM FROM TERRORISING AND ENDANGERING THE INNOCENT TAX-PAYING AND RESPONSIBLE MOTORISTS, WITH THEIR BLOODY IDIOTIC STUNTS" !!!
These mat-rempits are brave only in numbers and roam the streets all night, like 'scums-on-a-high', usually without any legal documents or drivers license and a majority are illegals from neighbouring countries masquarading as Malaysians, and if these "princely" youths want to do anything resourceful "GO WEED THEM OUT ", and then we can have "cemerlang, terbilang and temberang"! Yes Datuk AAAR, please don't give us this kind of crap and maybe you should change your speech-writer and PR person too...!
Like make them all go and donate blood....to the victims of accidents they cause, on any given night ! ....now that will be responsible and resourceful, right? (oops... sorry... cannot lah ...must take blood sample first, right ? and then maybe, just maybe, can find traces of prohibited elements in blood sample......opps... sorry bad idea !)
Well, Datuk AAAR, do think of something stupid to keep me 'in stitches' again , as you are after-all the new "glocal comedian"...ha..ha..ha..ha..ha..!!!

Shanghai'd !

Time and again many have curiously asked this question as to my blog name... "why Shanghai Fish "? From my first ever "Hello" post (23rd. May 2006) I did try to explain something to that context.

Well to begin with I'm a darter and a pretty unpredictable one at that too ! See in dart terms there is such a thing as , if you finish a game with the last 3 darts all in one number or slice of the dart board i.e. the triple, normal and double of say a certain number then you have done a "shanghai-finish" e.g. if the balance point was 120 and you threw a first dart on a 20 then a second dart on 60 (triple 20 ) and checked-out in 40 (double 20 ) .

On the 4th. of September 2005 in the 6th. Merdeka Invitational Darts Tournament championship hosted by the Royal Lake Club, Kuala Lumpur, yours truely did just that and it was reported the following day in the Malay Mail that, yours truely ( representing the National Press Club) was the only one in the tournament who did a "Shanghai Fish" ....yes, maybe it was a typo error, I won't know, but that was exactly what was reported and printed in the papers. See the photo- clip and story above !!

So you see folks I did not realise this but that name stuck on me. There you go......hokay ??
P.S. By the way I've got a name and my name is Stephen Francis, and yes, I hope I am a responsible blogger !

"With blazing guns"

Wow.. I already like this lady lah... the way she's taking on this heads of government who are either irresponsible and/or corrupt ! I'm talking about our newly-appointed Perak Anti-Corruption Agency director Samsiah Abu Bakar.(read here )
Imagine the gall of some of these heads of government departments who "close one eye" to the perpetrator of graft and refused to take action against them for lack of evidence, et cetera, et cetera !! Were they in partnership with this scum of a government servant, or were they related or were they from the same kampong or were they threatened in the first place ? Or were they afraid if they took any action against these crooks, these crooks might spill the beans on them because they are crooks themselves.....sort of 'blackmailed'?
Oh......we could work on a thousand theories. But the refreshing thought is there is now someone "new" who is going to change all that and open a few old 'cans of worms' that has been quietly concealed and hopefully forgotten by the powers of our corrupt little 'napoleons'.
This gutsy lady was also born in the same town as I was, Kuala Kangsar, and I'm sure she's gonna clean up my kampong state Perak, with the same passion as I have for Perak if in her position !It's not like I want to preach but "Walk in the path of rightousness and God walks with you"!
Welcome and "Cheers" to this good lady !

No Geography lah!!

This is simply amazing how our esteemed Ministers announce the setting-up of "committees" to a fairly , straight and honest answer to a problem, any man in the street can give in 2 seconds !

Read this and you tell me, do we need a 'technical' team of experts to study the recent cause of floods in the country ?? As far as I can remember, Kelantan was always flooded every year around December !

Blaming God has always been our "divine right" as nobody will admit to the blatant abuse of our enviroment for monetary profits by the respective authorities in cahoots with their crony, as the real answer to the floods itself ! How much of raping of our hills, forest and entire green-lungs have been ,with a quick stroke of a pen (and with always an expensive and branded pen !) turned these nature's gift to mankind into residencial, industrial and commercial prime property ??

Of course it rains the year round here in Malaysia. Thats a fact, we live close to the equator, where there are lots of countries with lots of 'green' . How else can we have so much 'green' if not for rain...huh ? And we are used to tropical storms in some parts of this region, yes ? Funny how once an Irish visitor actually came to our country to witness a "torrential thunderstorm"(his words ) as he had heard so much of it back home !!

But for the last 20 years or so we have had mega projects and massive population build-up or influx of immigrants(our country offers great 'dreams' for foreigners!) and we have seen this growth and demand in every state and at all levels in local councils through-out the country.
Stop wondering please... our drainage system is from the 50's era (built for a country with about 5 million then !) and our highways and roads linking towns and cities with towering building structures are from the future...you go figure out where all this crap is choking its way to.....!!! Go tell your local councillor to stop screwing "mother nature" !
Have you also noticed, we do not have the NE Monsoon from November to March and the SW Monsoon from April to August as in the past and was documented in our geography books ?
Still need a "technical committee" to figure this out ? Gimme a break ! Maybe with "Visit Malaysia Year" we can quickly turn these flooded places into water-theme "Venice of the east" tours for tourists and even make a quick buck in the process !( just kidding lah... my heart feels sad for all those families affected!) As my dear late 'amachi' (grandma) would always tell us when we were growing up ..."no geography lah"...wise words, now you ponder on it too !
God Bless Amachi and to all city folks "Happy City day" and to all Malaysians all over the world, "Happy Thaipusam" !

Sub judice?

Rocky vs NSTP + Kali-Hisham-CEO-Brenden
Blogger Ahirudin Attan, who runs Rocky's Bru and is the President of the National Press Club, will return to the High Court at Wisma Denmark tomorrow (9 am) to respond to the plaintiffs' claim of sub judice (with regards to comments left by posters in response to two of his postings made between the time he was served the writ to the hearing of the case last Thursday).

The people at Shearn, however, might have overlooked something very serious in the case.

It seems moNSTer blog, the NSTP's contribution towards the blogosphere, has been discussing the case quite actively. No prizes for guessing who the "commentors" in the NST's blog are rooting for.

Did someone say sub judice?

Click here for what NSTP has been up do in print. And here, too.

In the case against 2 Malaysian Bloggers !!

The wheels of justice will be put into motion starting today!! And this morning I'm lighting a candle for 2 Malaysian bloggers !
Rocky of rockybru fame and Jeff Ooi of screenshots , both independent bloggers in Malaysia have been sued by a mainstream newspaper 'piggy-backing' 4 other individuals, for defamation and libel or so they say...!.
What happens after this morning's press conference scheduled for 11'clock by the bloggers is going to go down in blogging history and forever alter our 'obsolete' cyberlaws and that of laws everywhere in the blogging world ! All eyes are on Malaysia !
The entire blogging community NOT just here in Malaysia but the world over is rallying behind these 2 NOW very famous Malaysian bloggers, as this has already been dubbed by many a "David(s) and Goliath case".
To bloggers the world over..."stand tall and we invite you to walk with us as we walk with Rocky and Jeff and as ONE !!!
"Long live our bloggers and God bless "! Amen.

Who killed Cock Robin ?...another "first" !

"Happy Maal Hijrah to all my muslim friends"

It is indeed trying times here in Malaysia, where we are once again creating another 'first' and as usual for all the wrong reasons ! We the "thinking" citizens and bloggers apologise to the rest of the world for drawing so much of cheap attention with this national stunt!

Imagine a mainstream newspaper The New Straits Times (NST) is actually suing two very popular and independent bloggers Ahirudin Attan@ Rocky and Jeff Ooi Chuan Aun, who collectively have a bigger readership, if not individually ! This cheap stunt was the work of one of five plaintiffs in a legal suit, who,I guess, jealous and afraid to go it alone dragged the NST, which employs him and 3 others into the fry, to make a grand 'killing' of these two bloggers! In my opinion I think the newspaper was a party solely to foot the huge impending legal costs for this suit !

And me thinks the masters (UMNO) that run this paper have got their hands tied behind thier backs and the share-holders have "no say" in this matter !

Newspapers should be the information tool for public opinion where the citizens can read , comment, criticize and/or compliment news and newsmakers alike and not to sue anyone for writting about the truth ! This is our right !, right ? It certainly goes against the very purpose of free speech and freedom to speak your mind and all those other international conventions, our country's highest lawmakers attended and proudly put their signatures on ! Ha ha ha !!!

In that light I think the NST( I have very dear and honest friends employed now, with this paper !) should never have been dragged into a personal fight by an individual against another individual, be it a blogger or a tax paying citizen !

On this end the NST has made 2 bloggers very famous, and whatever the out-come of this legal suit is, the reputation of the newspaper (if it does have any !) will be tainted as the bullying bad boy and these bloggers the 'heroes' of cyberworld !All because of one man's frustration and craze for power !

While this is "Visit Malaysia Year" we can now divert tourists and visitors to the High Court of Kuala Lumpur on the 25th. of January 2007 to show them what we are good at but not boasted or bragged about in the travel brochures - making another ..... "first" (read)!

To Rocky and Jeff... I am with TRUTH and.......Godspeed !!

STOP PRESS : My family and I take this opportunity to congratulate Datuk Syed Nadzri Syed Harun Al Jafree (NST Group Editor.) and his family on the bestowing of Datuk Setia Diraja Kedah in conjunction with the 79th birthday celebration of the Sultan of Kedah, today ! Syabas Datuk !

Rocky ! Rocky ! Rocky !

" It is any day better to stand erect with a broken and bandaged head than to crawl on one's belly in order to be able to save one's head."- Gandhi (1925) or

"A small body of determined spirits fired by an unquenchable faith in their mission can alter the course of history"- Gandhi (1938) extracted from "Quotes of Gandhi" by Shalu Bhalla.
My brother, Rocky has been served with some court papers restraining him from blogging by 4 persons (behind a mainstream newspaper) who feel he talks too much..! Well... why not if it is honest and true ? You go on.... man !
Are we to be deprived of the truth ? Can we rely on the government run newspapers and electronic media alone ? The government of today brags of promises of democracy, freedom to practise of faiths, transperancy, freedom of speech and equality to all men....errhmm.
We the bloggers here in Malaysia and the whole world ( yes, the whole world, brother !) are closely following the oppression of Malaysian bloggers by the powers that be ! And thanks to the Malaysian government, Rocky, you are now WORLD FAMOUS in Malaysia !!!

And in closing this one by the great Gandhiji (1924) is very appropriate..
" For me every ruler is alien that defies public opinion"
Cheers ! And keep your head up Bro !

815, Maxwell Road, Assam Kumbang, Taiping, Perak.

There was Kamal and Sharif @ Yape, at the start of the road, Hussain (this guy actually looked like a young Paul MacCartney!) and Nordin, across the road, in front of our house, the twins Dorai and Thava living next door to Kamal and Norman and Gee further round the bend and there was Kasi too, close to where my brother, Georgie and I lived. And during the school holidays my cousins, Benny and Martin, from Pokok Assam, will join us. We were all, the below 15 group, then.

At any point of time or day, anyone of us could walk into anyone of our neighbour's houses,( we never had any use for fences or gates or locked doors !!) help ourselves to the food in the kitchen, 'lepak' with the rest of the brothers or sisters, greet uncle or aunty in english (everyone spoke english back then !) and then head to the 'padang' to play football or kite or gasing or shoot with our "lastick" or catapult ( mind you, we made our own "lastick" and gasing (tops), from the, now near extinction, "tebusu tree") or marbles or just ran like mad kids all over, then when tired-out, head back home to bathe, eat, study (very little) and drop-off to sleep (hardly any family could afford a television set back then- remember we were kids of government servants !).

Not one of us actually noticed or emphasised our religious or ethnic background ! In short no one was even questioned or spoken to of our religious beliefs. But every family had an unspoken care and respect for all the kids on Maxwell Road.

It was a typical road, housing families whose parents worked with the government, and that was where I was brought up, in the formative years of my life, back in the 60's. The boys would be playing together, the girls will meet every day in the evenings to talk. And there were different groups doing different things together, not by race but by the age group they belonged !

Most of us walked to school together and we were never taught anything about unity in school because there was never a need to do so. Unity was ours for FREE ! We were all, only taught "moral" in our school !
Wherever you are, God bless the guys who lived and played on Maxwell Road !

Renovations, face-lift or make-over.....anyone?

Ahhh...this is so good...hmmm... and even as you read this post... YOU have been checked-in on my site meter, and here you don't have to pay a cent to surf, unlike old Samy's toll-metered, traffic jammed highways.....ahhahh.. yes, as you can see, my blogsite has had a major face-lift . Decorated with a site meter, linked to some really good blogs (beleive me !), has even been fitted with a 'stop press' link of ever changing hot and latest head-lines from Mysen News. And all this renovations/make-over to my blogspot, took place at my favorite watering hole, around 2 a.m. today ! That's really cool !

And you can now comment or read the comments by clicking 'comment' or without closing the page by clicking on the permanent link i.e. click on the time at the end of the post !

Hey, why am I telling you all this ? You probably know all about blogs already ,...but I must confess this is all so new to an old man like me and I'm really excited, you know !

And now a great big "THANK YOU" to Terrance V. Smith or more popularly known as T.V. Smith of Dua Sen blog fame, my site designer !

This must be mid-life crisis I'm experiencing or what ? Speaking of which, anyone heard whats brewing on in rocky's and jeff ooi's blogs ??

Holding our kids at Ransom...again !

Who dictates the education system in our country and why do we have to disclose personal information( here ) to heads of schools ? Why do I have to pay to private companies ? Is not education a responsibility of the government too? Is someone else cashing-in on the innocents ?

I had the same questions when I went to pay my 10 year old daughters' school fees yesterday at her school in Old Klang Road.

Why do the Education Ministry people make Takaful Insurance (a private insurance company ) payment of RM1.50 per pupil mandatory ? Is not Takaful Malaysia a private entity ? And was this entity not the same body who decreed muslims from wishing/greeting other races during the various religious festivities ? Are they not ashamed to now go and collect millions of ringgits from school children of "other" races ? And why do we have to pay to Takaful in the first place when I have provided for my daughter with more than enough insurance coverage? Many a parent are too tired to question the PTA as they are afraid of adverse victimisation of their kids by teachers and heads of schools ( trust me... everything happens in Malaysia.. lets not pretend it does'nt...okay ??) !! That's why for my daughter's sake, I cannot mention here, the school or the head-master I spoke to !

Who in Takaful dictates the Education Ministry these terms and policies as mandatory ? As the head-master of my daughters school lamented to me "If you don't pay ah... I must pay from my own pocket...... you knowww... ahh? diswan is directive from the ministry lah...surely I kena... I must comply or else.... !"

Looks like someone in Takaful has a damn good grip of the Education Ministry...or someone in the Education Ministry has his hands well greased and pockets, well, lined !...nepotism.... cryonism........ ?? You tell me !

Wake-up Malaysia ... where is the clean and efficient government we have been bitching about ?? Grow-up Malaysia, 50 years on... and we are still reeking with corruption ?? Don't demand the rest of the world to shape-up! It is these little screw-ups by little "napoleons" that lead to total ruin in our 'once decent' system of governance !

Where is my elected representative? Where is that 'towering' kris weilding Education Minister ? Where is my clean and efficient PM ? Where is the opposition ?? Heeeeeelp me...!
