Truth and justice are no longer Malaysian way- by Michael Backman

I was surfing the blogs on this lazy Saturday afternoon by Tony Yew's blog and this link (read here ) has got me very upset !

Here we have this foreigner's observation/opinion of this once great country of ours ! Sheeesh !

Where did we go wrong ? Can we all sit back and let all and sundry discuss us like we were a doomed nation without a defense or like we don't exist ?

Do we have a defense, in the first place ? What ills brought us to this "low" and by whom ?

Why... pray, tell me and how dare they talk about us in this manner ? Have we all been too arrogant and continued living in a "comfort zone"...what "comfort zone" are we talking about here ? Are we all afraid of CHANGE ??

It's really, really depressing.....this state of affairs in our country !....guess I'll just resign myself to pasture in Taiping in my twilight years soon !
*picture of Tasmanian devils -rumour has it, says the malay-male, they are extinct....but I hope and beg to differ !

the rape of Pedra Branca !

#above 4 'Worth' photos-forwarded with courtesy of my cousin, Benny in Dublin

What's so frightfully chilling about the above pictures ??? Of the first 4 from the top...no...sireee...you don't want to be the subject in question...hell.... nooooo !!!

But the rather innocent 5th. photograph is of more interest to me, as it shamefully smacks right here closer to the heart.....and home ! Yes, we are in the understanding all the above photographs are "doctored"......yes, okay...it's fun, right ?... but to use that last photograph, much worst, created by a very suspect blogger, and presented by our government as evidence to prove "nearness to our land" and to stake a claim of ownership over this much debated light-house on a rock and in the International Court of Justice in The Hague too... is pushing it ! And the "little red dot" below us has made fools of us out there in The Hague and I also suspect everyone is rolling on their bellies with laughter and choking at our stupidity !

Why did our "legal-boys" in the Pak Lah Administration suddenly give so much credit and dependence to a suspect blogger and his "work" to a point of even using his "materials" as evidence in an International Court to argue a crucial case such as this ? Does this not smack with hypocrisy on the government's stand against bloggers ? Did someone within do this deliberately to "fix" the Pak Lah administration ?

In the meantime I'll avoid meeting any Singaporean for the next year or two and reel with shame at the thought of living in a fools paradise !

For what it is "Worth"...at least enjoy the top 4 photos....and clearly only one word comes to my lips if I was caught in any of those above situations.........fcuk...I'm screwed !!!

Datuk Bad Rude Din part 2 !

Datuk Badruddin Amiruldin (BN-Jerai)

*cartoon courtesy of reggie lee

He's at it again...this moron should be sacked for remarks uttered through his filthy hole on his face and what we also call a poor excuse for a "mouth" ! Only recently I wrote about this Member of Parliament from Jerai Datuk Badruddin Amiruldin (BN-Jerai) (read here)

Is everyone in UMNO and the Barisan National, especially the womenfolk and the "puteris" going to put up with this kind of talk-uttered in the UMNO General Assembly recently ? Have the female members of UMNO no diginity and can stomach this stench ?.....or maybe they should all take to the streets for such sexist remarks and call for his immediate expulsion from UMNO ! Hellooo....this is 2007, folks !

At the recent UMNO General Assembly this moron was
reported to have said
"Yes, we can see a "terowong"(tunnel) in her
skirt"
after another UMNO delegate complained that Air Asia's
stewardesses' skirts were too short !

Can you beat that ?? and all you ladies out there...are you going to take this kind of filthy sexists remarks from an elected representative, lying down?
This clown is doomed even if he claims to have apologised (here) and have the rest of the goons in the audience in stitches with his derogatory remarks at the expense of women and physically challenged persons ! .....now over to you ladies.....!

You want answers...ask God !

(this is a "cut&paste" post ! photo-before(inset) and after.)

“I am shocked and I want answers,” said a furious Samy Vellu..... in response to the collapse of a two-storey building on a hillslope at the edge of Tasik Banding in Gerik. (read here and here )
The incident is the latest and the most serious involving government buildings, which have been hit by flooding from burst pipes, collapsed ceilings, power outages and cracked walls.
The complex has remained vacant since its completion in 2004, as the small number of rooms made it uneconomical to manage. It was to have been the last stop for tourists visiting the Belum-Temenggor forest.
There were signs of massive erosion on the slopes, with muddy water still running into the lake.
The collapsed structure – the first of a two-phase project under the Perak State Park Corporation – consisted of 14 rooms, an office block, a showroom to sell orang asli goods, and a car park. Completed in 2004, it was built at a cost of RM4.5mil with an allocation from the Tourism Ministry. The second phase consists of 26 more rooms at the same site; the project costing RM5mil is also funded by the Tourism Ministry.
Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamad Tajol Rosli said the state government would appoint a professional body to determine the cause of the collapse.
Samy Vellu said the project was not under Public Works Department (PWD) supervision, but since PWD is the technical arm of the Government, he has ordered the Perak PWD to conduct an investigation.
Act of God ?......of course !
Case closed !

*I draw your attention to the bold markings-......sigh...my tax-paying worries too !

Yellow fever marches on in London !

While we were resting our tired bones from the long cold march here in Kuala Lumpur, a small but patriotic group of Malaysians began theirs around 2pm. (London time), near Bayswater. ( read more from dear Ija's- malaysianminxinlondon blog ).And with a police permit too !

It is even more humbling to see that Malaysians the world over want to see change and are demanding change......surely all those who took part and supported this cause can't be wrong.....is that asking for too much ???

Daulat Tuanku !...and to Ija and all Malaysians in London.. and elsewhere...we salute you....... Cheers !!!

Welcome to my "Hall of Shame"!!

Why do I get the feeling, we as Malaysians have become a failed nation with the emergence of "newly elected" morons uttering "crap" daily just so they can hold the attention of the moronic masses- that's you and me ?
First there was this kris-kissing (see side-bar picture) Minister of Education imparting his "knowledge" of national unity and fostering to lead a multi-national country and on the same breath wields out a deadly weapon as a show of "No nonsense" stance of the Malay race (and as one commenter quipped, even HIS origin of being a pure Malay is suspect !) and preaches of fairness and equality to all citizenry !
Now we have this pretty faced, Puteri Umno chief Noraini Ahmad( pictured above) whilst waltzing on thin ice and playing-up to the gallery, is parroting more rubbish and threatening bloggers with draconian laws ala ISA, OSA and Freedom of Press and Publication laws and accusing us of causing racial tensions amongst the various races and religions ! Oh my God !! Me thinks it is these morons who ARE the main culprits who create racial and religious tensions amongst us meek and simple tax-paying and non-violent Malaysians ! Hhmmm.... and this is called progress and a step forward for UMNO, right ??
For more text and comments , read my dear fellow-blogger, Nuraina's take, here !
This Puteri UMNO chief ( what a shame, she IS pretty, if I may say so myself !!) has qualified instantly into my rogues' gallery with her contradicting stupidity against mankind !!...anything against mankind IS a crime !
And by the way.......with "leaders" like these...............who needs a nation ?

A failed nation !

We have failed terribly as a nation....yes Malaysians, when we had been over-zealous to reach great heights in technology and building the nations infrastructure and pushing the stock markets to compete and brag to the rest of the world, we grossly compromised the fundamentals of basic living and neglected MORALS and VALUES !!
Why then would we be witnesses to such gory and horrific ends of these innocents' lives above ?(latest case here !)
Even as I write I cannot fathom the goings on in the heads of those perpetrators ?
Yes......in my opinion, we have failed miserably, somewhere along the way to growing up, we took on the insistence of all that the government of the day requested of us- religion, but we did take our individual religions seriously....so seriously that we forgot or misinterpreted religion to suit our life-styles and ignored MORALS and VALUES that was the basic under-lying principle in any religion, right ?
Was it omitted in the education system ? Was it not taught in our religious classes ? Did we have morons for teachers ? Are we a nation of hypocrites ? Yes this is true...we are a nation of hypocrites....we are a nation of corrupted pretenders who glorified our "genius" knack to accumulate wealth and power but never practised what was preached or taught to us by our parents and teachers ! Did we forget to teach MORALS and VALUES and "respect for life" to our kids ?
How else can we explain the sick minds behind these brutal annihilation of the lives of the 5 angels pictured above ??
I am in no mood to continue !

Chin Kha Mun,12- Missing !

Have you seen this girl ? Chin Kha Mun, 12, from Gopeng, Perak. She was last seen on 1st November 2007 visiting a local school friend at about 2pm. but when her family checked with the friend at around 5pm. she was not to be found except for her abandoned bicycle.(more here and updates here )

Anyone seen this girl, please contact Ms Chew 012-5268862 or Mr Chin 012-6607722.Or the nearest Police Station !
NurinAlert to be put into top gear, perhaps ?
* UPDATE: Cops: Girl fell into river by accident-The Star On-line 5-11-07
IPOH: A 12-year-old girl whose half-naked body was found floating in Sungai Kampar in Gopeng was not sexually assaulted.
Kampar OCPD Superintendent Nordin Manan said initial investigations showed that Chia Kha Man (pic) had drowned.
He said the case remained classified as sudden death.
Kha Man, a Year Six pupil of SJK (C) Man Ming in Gopeng, went missing last Thursday.
On Saturday, two river guides found her body on a rock in the river while kayaking in Kampung Jahang.
When Kha Man went missing, there was speculation she and a friend had followed a middle-aged man to the river.
Supt Nordin said her friend, an 11-year-old, later told police that she and Kha Man had asked the man to take them to the river.
“Along the way, both the girls fell into the river but the man could only save the other girl.”
He said both were afraid to reveal that Kha Man was missing in the river and kept the incident a secret.
A relative who claimed Kha Man’s body at the Ipoh Hospital mortuary here yesterday said the family was upset with the man's irresponsible attitude.
Kha Man’s remains will be cremated at the Sam Poh Tong temple here at 11am today.

good cops..bad cops !

Just when you thought with "extra" police presence, it was safer to walk the streets of Kuala Lumpur...........all hope crushes will this story in the Malay Mail today!!(read here )

So 5 cops (read Government servants ) who have sworn allegiance to up-hold the "Rukunegara" of the country and to serve and protect the public from all things harmful and without fear or favor, have themselves turned crooks ! WHY....WHAT ? They were picked-out in an identification parade by the victim BUT police are "tight-lipped" of the results ! hmmm... I wonder WHY ? One of the suspects has had disciplinary problems and is currently suspended from active duties ! WHY and WHAT for ? The suspects whose remand order ended yesterday were released on bail ! Say WHAT ? But WHY ? And HOW come ?

Now the police are hot on the trail of the master-mind....a civilian and have yet to recover the RM50,000.00 ! Can you blame me for being "sick" after reading stories like this ? And more importantly....it really disturbs me to know that they are out there on the streets.... on bail and free ! Too many times we have heard of tampering and/or intimidating of evidence and/or complainants !

We have seen the speed the police nabbed these suspects...... only to set them free again....but now let's see if "justice is served " for the poor victim ! In the meantime can somebody answer all of the above questions ???

So just go on and read lawyer Malik's add-on (bold) take- here or Rocky's joker of the day- here ! This minister is a permanent fixture in my "rogues' gallery" !
While Rocky wants to laugh...........I want to laugh and puke at the same time !

God will punish you, Datuk Bad and Rud Din !

Datuk Badruddin Amiruldin (BN-Jerai)

Another monkey-in-suit has open his filthy trap and insulted all physically challenged human-beings of this world ! (read here ) Are YOU...... yes, YOU people of Jerai and the rest of us Malaysians, going to vote for this foul-mouthed and poor excuse of a member of parliament in the next GE ?

Karpal irked Datuk Badruddin Amiruldin (BN-Jerai) when he remarked that there was little hope of seeing courtesy and good manners in the house......"The Jerai MP is notorious for using foul language".....An angry Badruddin shouted back at Karpal. "You are no better. Calling us (BN MPs) animals... you insult people. Now you are sitting in a wheel chair. God has punished you."

This is how our elected morons continue to speak in the august house...huh ? Shame, shame, shame...!!! And folks the list is growing in my "rogues' gallery !

Have a good week-end and reflect on the words this bad and rude representative from Jerai has for all of you, whose lives are spent in a wheel-chair ! Or you who has a "near and dear" one in a wheel-chair ! Ooooops...... almost forgot....you/they must have sinned terribily, right?
God bless you !

All hail the hero !

A heart warming story of an individual who selflessly saves people he hardly knew....so goes the testimony of survivors ( read here and here) of this young wire man's brave deeds in the recent "Seagull Express II ferry fire, off the resort island of Tioman during the Hari Raya festivities.
S. Krishnamoorthy, 19, was said to have single-handedly saved 18 people. Good to know his "shinning example" has restored a renewed surge of faith in the young people of today, where mat-rempits rule !
But what bothers me most now is the fact that nothing has changed...as far as safety of passengers using these sloppily managed ferries to travel to the resorts and all the cheap talk of the authorities to come down hard following the fire ! I read in the papers in days following the tragedy, ferry operators (whether legal or otherwise !) STILL take full loads of holiday-makers, packed like cattle, without any life-jackets and throwing caution to the winds, at all island resorts all over Malaysia !! Is "safety-first and scrutiny of operating licenses" only confined to a particular port of accident ??
Such is the state of urgency in this here, land of ours, Malaysia..........everyone, most especially the politicians, jump like monkeys on a hot tin roof and come out with their best rehearsed-lines in giving their 2 cents worth of "idle" philosophy and then.......whooooooosh..... we are quickly coerced to focus our attention from this incident to other situations......and we, the "suffering and stupid citizens" eagerly look forward for more sensational drama played out by government servants in authorities and so-called "esteemed" members of the august house ! It is so easy to screw a tax-paying Malaysian !
But for now let us salute this local hero for his unselfish gesture of putting his life, in the face of danger, to save another !
Cheers S. Krishnamoorthy, I'll drink to your generous act of courage !

Real and present danger !

It's been 1 month and 2 days today since little Nurin's body was found in a sports bag or 1 day shy of 2 months since she was abducted near her Wangsa Maju house ! And in the Malay Mail today the police are still investigating and have yet to confirm any real suspect or suspects directly linked to the macabre and gruesome murder ! Some comfort.....huh ! Promises...promises...!

Which brings us to uneasily admit that "THIS SICKO OF A SCUM-BAG IS STILL FREE AND IS WALKING AMONGST US, TODAY" !! Doesn't it bother you to know that your kids are in a very clear and real danger every minute of the day ?
Fellow blogger, my dear Nuraina Samad has some really good advice and suggestions as to the setting-up of NurinAlert, fashioned after AmberAlert ( Amber stands for America's Missing Broadcast Emergency Response ) and my advice to everyone of you concerned, and most especially Shahrizat and her ministry, is to kick-start this project with genuine conviction and not half-hearted !
I, for one hope that this "bucket of shit" is captured and that the police are a department of substance (yeah right !... if any ?) and not just as usual hoping to divert our attention, yet again, to other trivial things, and for which they are now famous for ! Sheeesh !

How many more lives...you fools ??

It had all the ingredients for a perfect disaster.....long predicted on this blog, (see here ), not that I was praying and hoping for anything to happen.....but it is even harder to come to grips with the idiotic "fools" responsible for this tragedy !
Here, "fools" are in reference to the idiotic authorities who allow the blatant abuse and total lack of safety precautions implemented, coupled by corrupt government servants both in the state and federal levels !
Now if only these morons had been strict in enforcing the law instead of wasting tax-payers money on beautification or had read my blog and paid attention.
Now try and explain to the families of the dead that this accident was an act of God and that their life was fated to end this way !!!
To the rest of you in the boating business in the east coast of Peninsula Malaysia.......sleep well !

Now we've sent a man into orbit...what next ?

Yeees ! We are finally a "outer-space travelling nation" ! We are way up there in our region when it comes to being "first" ! I must say "kudos" to our angkasawan Dr. Sheikh Muszaphar Shukor....you are the envy of all and I'm proud you are a Malaysian !

Billions have been spent, yes, in the acquiring of Sukoi air crafts deal in contra for "palm-oil" and a promise of a space participant over an agreed period....all good for the image of the "Malaysia Boleh" tag-line .

So now what...? What do we do next ? When this "poster-boy looking" good doctor returns ? Is he going back to his orthopedic practise ? Or will he be starting a "space-programme "ala Malaysia" fashioned somewhere along the National Service program ? He would be "open" to opportunists cashing on him to make a quick "monetary" killing ! Or have the scheming started already ? Would he be awarded a "datukship"......surely we must accord him that at least....one cannot get higher then where this doctor has been, right ! So...it is befitting him ! Our very own man in space and a jolly dashing one too !

Whatever the skeptics say, we won't be sending another cosmonaut or astronaut or "can-or-not" to space in the near future, due to the very, very high costs involved..... so for now I'll raise a glass of my favorite drink and pray for Dr. SMS's highly educational space experience and safe return..... curiously, would he be paraded from school to school, giving talks/lectures to our future generation of budding space-enthusiasts ?? He must teach them early to harness their interest of his "out-of-the-world" expierence !
Cheers to Dr. Sheikh and to all "A Blessed Ramadan " and peace to all men of goodwill !
