the renaissance man...??

Finally.....finally I really, really want to shake this man's hand for a really good decision he made...He has finally resigned ! Good on you, H.R.H. Tengku Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah, The Tengku Mahkota of Pahang !(pic.)
Thank you Tengku for that "perfect gentleman" gesture and I hope your splendid actions have opened the flood-gates for all the others to quickly follow suit.......You have given the country the best Merdeka present ever and saved an embarrased nation from further humiliation..... my curious question is, what took you so long ?
And here, too I must commend our intellectual Youth and Sports Minister, Datuk Azalina Othman (here) for her take on this matter by confessing that this is a collective responsibility of the entire FAM and not the Tengku's responsibility alone !
Well folks, there you have it,..... FAM personnel and all the "juara kampung" players .....don't just parrot the good Ministers words but take heed and follow the amiable Tengku's path and give us a reason to feel proud to be Malaysians again !( read one of my early post ?...here )
Cheers Malaysia !

"I stand erected.....eerh...corrected"!- rocky

Ohhhhhhh....is this 22 year old girl's back-revealing blouse giving you a "hard-on"?....or is the blouse "encouraging immoral activity" thoughts in you or is she "exposing too much of her body" that you can feel the bulge ??
At least that's how JAIP-Jabatan Agama Islam Perak- (and damn, I'm a Perakian too !) Director Datuk Jamry Suri is feeling right now...!!
Our religious custodians of high moral have again attested to being morons with this latest raid, conducted in Ipoh, on this poor singer, Siti Noor Idayu (pic.) who has been singing at a popular entertainment outlet.
You have to read the full story here by Star and NST and draw your own conclusions folks !
I seriously think my good Raja Muda of Perak, His Royal Highness, Raja Dr. Nazrin Shah, quickly step in and stop this "wanton judgement passing" by these self-appointed "saints". Chill JAIP....this is 2007 and correct me if I'm wrong, and with all due respect, is this the "dark age of Islam"?
I wonder what "thoughts" runs through the empty heads of these "saintly fellows" in JAIP when at home, they look at their own children, mothers or sisters...? Sheeesh !

"smoke on the water...fire in the sky.."

Yes.......I grew up high, early in my life, with that song by Deep Purple, but did you know the meaning of the lyrics related to the act of taking marijuana ?
Today we here in Malaysia have legalised the mode and equipment needed to actually partake, minus the ganja or marijuana or MJ or grass or weed or whateveeer it is known, in street-lingo today, or otherwise fashionably known as shisha or hookah. Of course sisha is smoked with fruit-flavoured tobacco in expensive restuarants all over the city of Kuala Lumpur, and fast catching-up in other cities too. So it is okay to ape the Middle-Easterners and "trying hard" to look rich and important like an 'oil-field owning' sheik or a wealthy camel trader !
And our good Health Minister suddenly realises smoking this sisha can cause cancer, (read here ) leading to death ! sheeeeesh ! Why?....didn't the good doctor know smoking anything or inhaling anything alien is hazardous or detrimental to one's health ? For 'smoke-sake', hookah or sisha has been around for so long here in the big city and only now Datuk Seri Dr. Chua Soi Lek is aware of its dangers ?
And all these many shisha or hookah joints are legitimate businesses, blessed and approved by the City Council's licensing board.......so...there you go....can't touch them !
Trust me, if only that flavoured tobacco can be subsituted with the illegal stuff, in a dimly lit room filled with aromatic incense burning, soft music from Bidoo Orchestra and plenty of food on the table.........fuuuyoh !......boom-shanker !!!
* I'm hallucinating.......to the beat of Deep Purple in my head......hmmmm...sigh !

Mob justice for this 'sick' demon !

Even as I was commenting on my earlier post about the evils in our society and the unspeakable and perverted attack on an innocent 6 year old girl in Kampung Baru, Kuala Lumpur, here is yet another "sicko story" in the Malay Mail today, of a missing 5 (FIVE) year old in Jalan Raja Bot, very close to Kampung Baru, Kuala Lumpur !

Frantic race By MOHD YAAKOB YUSOF

THE family of Suci Rahmadhani Usman is racing against time in search of the five-year-old girl who was abducted in front of their grocery shop in Jalan Raja Bot yesterday afternoon. Their worst fear is the girl could have been abducted by the same man who had molested a six-year- old kindergarten pupil in nearby Kampung Baru last Wednesday.

“We are praying hard she would be released unharmed. The suspect fits the description of the molester and even the modus operandi was similar,” said her father, Usman Abdul Karim, 45.
The suspect had approached Suci, who was playing with her six-year-old cousin, and asked her to help him find a cat.
“She loves cats and was willing to follow him, despite being advised by the cousin not to do so.
“The suspect scolded the cousin and both of them rode away on a motorcycle, ” he said.
The cousin said the man was clad in a black jacket, a white T-shirt and was wearing a black helmet. The cousin managed to get the plate number of the motorcycle and it has been passed on to police.
Usman said he was not at the shop when it happened but his wife, who was in, did not notice the man taking away their daughter, the youngest of five siblings.
She only noticed Suci missing when the cousin rushed into the shop crying and related the incident .

Last night, Suci’s parents with the help of friends and relatives distributed her picture around Chow Kit and Kampung Baru.
Usman said his daughter was wearing a green T-shirt and a pair of orange pants when she was abducted.
“I really hope the cops will find the culprit soon before another innocent girl falls prey to the monster. ” The business fraternity in Chow Kit was equally angry with what had happened.
“The suspect must be caught or else he would continue terrorising other kids,” said Mohd Hussin Lubis, a trader.
“We should not allow the monster to roam free. Why must he pick up little girls? I heard there were two other similar incidents recently and I am afraid to even let my children out unguarded,” he said.
Mohd Hussin, who was helping Usman distribute posters last night, said those living in the area would not rest until the culprit is arrested.
Another trader, who declined to be identified, said the culprit is sick and must be arrested.
“He is causing anxiety among us. Even the public do not feel safe going to Chow Kit as long as he is still free,” he said.
It is learnt police have deployed detectives in the area to look for the kidnapper and the victim.

On Friday, The Malay Mail reported a six-year old girl was abducted and found wandering in a daze about 50m from the scene several hours later.
The girl had related to the mother that she was approached by a man who persuaded her to help look for his cat before she was molested.

Dang Wangi police chief Assistant Commissioner Zulkarnain Abdul Rahman said police are looking for the kidnapper and the girl.
He refused to comment further.

So people, I pray..... I'm sick and tired of hearing such bad news so early in the morning....and GOD , please help find this infant/child safe and fast and that "bucket-of -shit" caught !
As I continue to live in denial and think my country is safe.......sigh !
*the spotted hyena is there again for a personal reason.
*Latest up-date 7.20p.m. (3-7-07)* The little girl has been found. She's still in hospital for a check-up and under observation. Pray she's not been sexually assualted !

Malaysia is sick...!

How sick is Malaysia ?( read here for the sick story !) This is an act even an animal wouldn't think of doing to another specie....and here, we in Malaysia, have to read, hear and bear witness to this on a daily basis ! Think we are getting used to such atrocities as normal occurance, right ?

What went wrong with us ? Was it in our education system ? Was it in our religious system ? Was it in our political system ? Was it in our enforcement system ? Will the persons responsible for all this social break-down, please stand up !

6 years old and scarred for LIFE ! God,my stomach is churning inside-out ! And I beg to God for the healing of my sick country, Malaysia ! Still pretending everything IS safe and okay, here in Malaysia, eerh ? Wake-up fools ! This can happen to your child !
Amen !
**the hyena's back !

Joke of the day-enjoy !

A couple is in bed sleeping when there's a rat-a-tat-tat on the door. The husband rolls over and looks at the clock, and it's half past 3 in the morning.” I’m not getting out of bed at this time," he thinks, and rolls over.
Then, a louder knock follows. So he drags himself out of bed, goes downstairs, opens the door, and there's a man standing there.
It didn't take the homeowner long to realize the man was drunk."Hi there," slurs the stranger, "Can you give me a push?" "No, get lost. It's half past three and I was in bed," says the man as he slams the door.
He goes back up to bed and tell his wife what happened and she says, "That wasn't very nice of you. Remember that night we broke down in the pouring rain on the way to pick the kids up from the baby-sitter and you had to knock on that man's house to get us started again? What would have happened if he'd told us to get lost?""But the guy was drunk," says the husband."It doesn't matter," says the wife.” He needs our help and it would be the Christian thing to help him."
So the husband gets out of bed again, gets dressed, and goes downstairs. He opens the door, and not being able to see the stranger anywhere, He shouts, "Hey, do you still want a push?"
And he hears a voice cry out, "Yeah, please."
So, still being unable to see the stranger he shouts, "Where are you?" The drunk replies, "Over here, on the swing."

Zainal Abidin Hassan under probe !

Former football 'star' and current Pahang state football team manager, Zainal Abidin Hassan, 44, was involved in a fatal crash at 3 a.m. this morning near Puchong (read here) killing 28 years old, Lim Meng Tee. He says he is "very sorry" to the family of the deceased and admits he did not know about the death but learnt about it from the Malay Mail ! He also denies fleeing from the scene of the accident.......and is under investigation for recklessly driving his BMW and causing the death of the part-time masseur .

I remember many years ago almost about the same time of night..another "juara goalie" who died in a crash along the Federal Highway in Petaling Jaya, fully intoxicated from a "party" he attended...he was Arumugam or more popularly known as "Spiderman".

A few points in the report are not clear to me.....he lost control of his BMW while taking a curve ?Was he intoxicated ? A BMW meh...if driven below 100kph, can loose control errhh ??? Why does he say, he spoke to "several police officers" about the chronology of events and about the "other car" (if indeed there was any! ) that grazed his BMW.Are there any "grazed" markings on his BMW ? He waited at the scene of accident till the ambulance arrived, so why is he denying fleeing the scene?Even the Subang Jaya police chief said it was NOT a hit-and-run case, so...... and his BMW was towed away before the police allowed him to continued his journey to Pahang....now, how he continue his journey is not stated !

And the grieving live-in girlfriend of the deceased is in shock while the Lim family is devastated and accepting his death as faith and will not pursue legal action against Zainal Abidin Hassan. Life goes on......................!

Malaysia, a safe country...bah !....continued.

Whoaa.......this is too much to bear witness anymore, folks ! There I was just an hour ago attending a funeral in SS3, Petaling Jaya, around 2 p.m. today, and there were about 40 people . A friend of the deceased was seated by the roadside, in sad silence, on a "hired" plastic chair, at the edge of the tent closest to the road shoulder, when along came a RXZ motor-bike with 2 mats casually cruising first infront and then took a u-turn, right infront of the house full of mourners and snatched that guys gold chain, which he had worn over a collarless t-shirt !

We , me included, were talking in hushed tones, across the road in a play-ground facing the deceases' home, and were not paying attention to the drama that was unfolding right there in broad daylight with so many people, until someone shouted and just about everyone stood in shocked silence and too amazed to react in any manner.....now such brashfulness can only mean one thing... these bastards have no regard or fear for anyone or do they give a rats piss to the polices' presence.....they know there were no police patrolling around and these 2 low-lifes rode off happily....and to affirm that suspicion, true enough, as I was driving back through SS2 I saw a patrol car, parked by the road-side and 2 cops (God knows how long they had been there !) having "teh-tarik" and "roti canai" at the neighbourhood mamak stall .....sheeeesh... !!!!....this scene is a recurring "deja-vu"......for me !

And here I read in the NST of the abduction and rape of a 18 year old by bogus cops in KB, not Kota Baru but Kapala Batas, home of our beloved PM, and yet again of a missing 22 year old, bio-med student travelling to Klang in her Kancil, in rockybru...Please tell me people, please, if I am wrong to say this country is in deep shit as far as security by police and police safety is concerned ?? Or am I being paranoid and being unnecessarily judgemental of our security and police personnel ??

Why are we always told to be responsible for our own safety by our leaders instead of them kicking some arses of the authorities responsible to take care of security and giving us tax-paying citizens a renewed sense of security in our own country ? Increase the police force ! Don't waste good money on foolhardy projects that only benefit a few ! Do we need to march to a MB's house everytime we want to be heard and action to be taken ? Pretty soon there will be a bunch of "wannabe bogus cops" headed towards JB to make a living there, right? With so many new police engaged to patrol the streets of JB.......it will be easy pickings for these bogus cops too !!

Do we now spend millions more and send "mat-rempits" to the North Pole, or perhaps make the largest flag to be on displayed on the snows of the North Pole for a select few to view, if the snow does not cover it first !! OR do we spend much much more in expanding the security forces like the police to make me feel safe so I can stop blogging ?? Over to you people......as far as I am concerned....my life (yours too...yes ,yes you too !) means nothing to anyone but statistics in a report by the powers-that-be to justify their expenditure in their annual returns.....PERIOD !

Is Malaysia really safe and crime-free...?

So the police are finally taking steps to curb the alarmingly high crime rate in Johor Baru ! (read here ) Have you not wondered why it always has to be a last resort "thinggy" with the public getting "pissed-off" with the situation and having to protest in front of the Chief Minister's house before any action is seemed to be taken ?

Now read this very contradicting report by Bernama . Yes, the good Director-General of Tourism Malaysia is right.....yes, when you want to compare statistics with a far away country....but look here, Mr. Director-General sir, stop this hogwash, I don't live in Italy and stop trying to keep only the tourists' safe...they did not vote you in, I am a citizen of this here country and I need to be SAFE in my own country,PERIOD !

We would never have had to come to this grave crime situation not just in Johor Baru but the whole country, had there been a good system properly implemented by the powers-that-be in the first place !
Let's not just squarely put the responsibilty on the police alone but on all government agencies who are vested with the 'divine power' to prevent such occurances like the Immigration department and city or local council enforcement personnel. And here I'm not just talking about snatch thefts, but all social ills , drugs, rape, house break-ins, road-bullies, armed robbery, murders, child abuse and battered domestic violence......and all this will stop if the primary question of corruption is addressed honestly !
Now..............people, am I being labelled "unpatriotic" ?..... You decide !

The "ugly side" of Redang...

For all the beauty of Redang which I personally think is a world-class ranking island resort for a perfect break-away and for divers and snorkellers , I must commend the operators of the many private-owned chalets, guest-houses and resorts sprouting with "visit Malaysia Year" and the increased influx of tourists from as far away as France and Singapore, just to come and enjoy our breath-taking coral world under-sea....there is sadness within me to say the least,as in my observation in the total lack of conscience or understanding in two very important and key factors of the tourism board of Terengganu ! This was our 2nd. trip to Redang Island !

First is the journey ( if you are not flying direct by Berjaya Air !) for lesser beings like me who have to drive all the way to Terengganu, and then to reach the island by high-powered speedboats...well...here is the sickening part, I had to actually demand from the pilot of the boat at the jetty before departure, for life-jackets be given out to all 25 of us , and with a dirty a look and mumbling curses under his breath, the boat operator reluctantly handed them out to us...and he sarcastically insist I use one(for he thought I was out to create trouble !) which he had pulled out from god-knows-where and which was also soaking wet ! Can you imagine ,me all dry and neatly dressed in my beach-shorts and "pagoda" t-shirt...and so early in the morning too ! After securing the life-jackets on almost all, especially the kids, our terror ride began....you could see the nervous look on all parents holding on tightly to their kids or wifes'..... and not much was said by anyone (guess they were contempleting the different ways to strangle/maime or even kill the pilot of the boat, should anything 'unpleasant' happen !) during the, close to an hour's ride, to the island when I also noticed a sign beside the pilot's seat..."untuk 12 penumpang sahaja"!.... although the sea was not so choppy this morning..... I shuddered to imagine this ride during the rainy season... but wait...hey,...we still have to endure the return journey, right ? Ohh... man...I gotta stay sober, then, sheesh...sigh !

Now if only the moron of a pilot HAD insisted on all to wear life-jackets immediately upon setting foot on the jetty, without me demanding for one.....guess, that can be answered only when a tragedy happens, right !!..... does anyone give a damn for safety ? Surely not the boat operators nor the officials from the state government to make it mandatory....so the morons in the respective enforcement agencies...Think Safety First !

And the second sad and unforgivable sight was at the Terengganu state-government- run "maritime park"......(my apologies for the "not sharp" photos - actually was taken hurriedly with my wife's cell-phone camera !) but the message is clear people.....gross over-crowding !!
Man, oh man... it is pathetic to say that there were way too many people at any one time...I could easily count at least 600-700 people from all the different resorts(different coloured life-jackets...see the private owned resorts insists their guest conform to rules and wear the jackets at all times out to sea !) nearby converging in a patch of sea not larger then a football field !! And nobody is issued a receipt as each person is charged RM5.00 cash only, on the way to this "park" by the boat operator, so to actually say there WERE indeed that many people is a fallacy...probably the government servants manning the booth are in cahoots with the resort operators !(anyway who cares if they make a little on the side ? Seriously do you ??)

Now if they, the Terengganu state-government-run officials and the Tourism Board or otherwise collectively known as morons-(can't help coining Pasquale's favorite phrase here-very appropriate !! ) can structure a time-table for all resort operators to send their guests at different times during the day and ban all snorkellers from wearing flippers or beach-shoes and not lump all of the holiday-makers at the same time,in this one place, now that would be nice , right ? Respect Nature, it is God's gift to us...lets not screw it up like we do to ourselves !

I beg of all Malaysians, please show a lot of respect to the wonderful coral creation and all life-forms under the sea that is ours to appreciate..... it won't be long before they vanish completely, judging by the way, especially our local tourists, are clamouring with their snorkeling equipment and I even saw in disbelief one dumb-bugger wearing flippers, standing on a huge coral and gestering to his friends to view, with goggles, at his feat ! Sheeeesh !
*My apologies for these bad photos, thats the best I could do, sorry !

"just when I thought it was safe to go for a holiday...!"

This must surely have been the most eventful 4 days (6th. - 9th June 2007) in my absence, since I was getting soaked in the sun, snorkelling in a picture perfect coralled sea and pure bliss of a holiday where any time is a perfect time to have a beer or vodka or whiskey or more beer, in Pualu Redang off Trengganu, with the family and with no access to the internet, papers, radio or television (except for the occassional sms on my cell phone !!)

My...oh.....my...now reality......hmmm, so much of news to take in, do I have to take all this so early on a Sunday morning...yes, and grudgingly and slowly...I read in rockybru about yet another a "toupeed" moron doing a Brendan, the murder of Proton, all "organised crime" roads leading to Putrajaya, the lame excuses by the A-G regarding our so-called "sacred" courts, ministers shopping in Kathmandu, more crap out of the 4th. floor clowns and of course the highlight of the year, our beloved "love-struck" PM who wedded a "janda" yesterday and Kamal's( from the 4 floor,of course !) warning to our media editors !.... and all this in just 4 days !!

And the above news itself, folks, is enough to screw-up my almost blissfull and glorious holiday so... as right now I have put off writing about Redang... I'll save it for another post... sigh !

Good to be back anyways !.....and hope you had as good a holiday as I did, Cheers !

Char Kuat...anyone ??

So whats the big deal about masseuses earning more then fresh graduates... huh ? If one is honestly willing to work hard at it and earn that extra dollar, why not ? In the Malay Mail (here) it was reported that "masseuses" earned big bucks working on a few 'mak datins' in innocent looking massage parlours, located in busy parts of the town and right under the policeman's nose !( folks I'm sorry to say that this is a bloody lie...that the cops DON'T know the existence of these parlours ???....gimme a break !! )

Now how would this Muslim Consumers Association official, who also tipped-off this paper, know about "urut batin" being 'just masturbation'...I wonder ! If there is a demand for the said type of massage then there has to be an equal if not better supply of it too, right ?...and not because it involves a particular race ... but all immoral activities (as deemed by some "holier-than-thou" parties ! ) must be curbed irrespective of the race and nationality of the persons involved.

Breeding of such activities are never encouraged in any society so....what are the authorities actually doing about it ?...once in a while make a few arrests and look good in prime-time news and photo shoots huh ?....it has been business as usual for these rogues who operate these "illegal" parlours, so book them, haul them to court, charge them and seal the place up !

But this does not happen.... see , 'got tight connections' mah, with the top brass and under world and a few datos too !!!

Me, I do my 'charity' once in a while and when I can afford it...for a hour in a clean and cold room, soft piped-in music, stripped to my under-wear and with the lights totally out.........hmmmm... with my favourite masseur Donny, at the Oriental Massage and Reflexology Centre in Brickfields, and I think that's a damn decent and honest proffession and also secretly hope Donny earns more than fresh graduates !

*by the way, Donny, from Sabah, is blind and needs to make a living so....but curiously enough , I've never been offered this "Urut Batin".... I wonder why ??? because Donny knows, when he hears my voice that I actually came to sleep and snore, within a few minutes of lying down, as he sat at the edge of the bed and worked hard on the soles of my feet !!!
Thank you Donny !

Shame, shame...Assunta Hospital !

It really sickens me to know how a solemn oath taken by all doctors and "Florence Nightingales" has a price tag attached...!!(here)... Hippocrit's oath or hippocrite's oath huh ???

What is happening to the very meaning of decent living ? Must everything be equated to dollars and cents ? More so if it is an emergency and a matter of life and death....My heart goes out to the 21 year old son, Yek Yow Ngan, who must have pleaded with the Assunta Hospital staff to treat his critically injured mother...shame...shame...!! If only the staff concerned can put themselves in this young man's shoes now !

And even more shocking is the very nature of the accident...the road-bullies...Can you imagine the fear they put in a person (doesn't matter if it is a man or woman, young or old !) just for the sake of terrorising the victims ? And these cowards only pick on a lone victim when they are in a pack....no different from "mat-rempits". Just a bunch of spineless morons who get courage in numbers ! Oopss! this kind of scumbags have the blessings and encouragement from UMNO ,right ??... Sheeesh !!

Calling all decent Malaysians, come on people ...it is about time, we, the tax-paying and peace loving citizens start 'fighting back'... report any scene of road-bullying or packs of mat-rempits behaving untowardly in any public places...and let the police be notified immediately of the situation and location... the police must respond to all calls of the public and you must follow up with the police as to the out-come of your report. Make your presence felt and don't be taking this crap from no one...nobody's going to bully you again..maybe even put a reward out to nab these low lives !!

I am indeed very upset with the state of affairs in this country... looks like Malaysians have lost all morals and decency and we are thrown back into a barbaric era ! Can the authorities come down really really hard and weed out the perpetrators and give us the hope that there is still a chance to redeem our faith in the present government ??? I know it is a far fetched hope...but..........sigh !
Once again...SHAME...SHAME...ASSUNTA HOSPITAL !!!
*STOP PRESS- The Malay Mail, with the help of an anonymous businessman, is offering a reward of RM2,000.00 to anyone with information leading to the arrest of the road-bullies, responsible for the death of Yek Yow Ngan, 51, will also be putting cut-out posters for readers to post, in their papers daily until "justice is seemed, served "! "wannabe whateveeeeer... this RELA " !

"Come, come...... Bangla " these were the words uttered by a member of People's Volunteer Corps or RELA, gesturing to board a vehicle (here)to an Indian National and tourist, who was on an filming assignment with a German production company, here in the city, recently. Fearing he was being kidnapped and not understanding the lingo and seeing the arrogant authority and the unlimited powers these hot shot "cop-wannabe" boys have been vested with, naturally the Indian panicked and was in a confused daze, right. (read here)

Disband this RELA, a loose body of thieving crooks masquarading as keepers of the law, with a fair percentage of them , having failed to gain entry into the regular uniform government forces for reasons only they would know, end up posing as "uninformed" uniformed personnel and doing a fantastic job in tarnishing negatively the image of this country !( read here)

Would any uniform authority, be it the police or Rela dared to stop "slippered and shabbily dressed white "tourists" walking the streets and demanding to see their identification papers ?? No, right ? So there is certainly gross discrimination against "darker skinned" (or to qoute a moron-in-suit, Minister, "lower class" ) tourist and judging them illegal...right ??

Why this double standards huh ?? Our men in uniform are always sucking-up to caucasians and Middle-easterners or even the Japanese ! Don't these lighter-skinned fellas dodge the authorities and are mixing freely and even overstaying our kind hospitality just because they know nobody is gonna check on them ? Hey, I've got nothing against anyone of lighter or darker skin..but can't help noticing the pattern here ! And for goodness sake don't paint me a bigot or racist...okay ?

Its always the Banglas, Indons, Myanmar,Filipinoes and Indians...No...Pakistanis are never stopped and checked..because they are of a fairer shade or dressed in their holy"jubbah" or even the Africans because of their sheer height, physical strength, fearless looks, if need be to be pitted against these puny RELA boys, right ??

This is a very disturbing trend which has to be addressed immediately. Genuine tourists being harassed by nincompoos in uniform in an otherwise beautiful country,sheesh... lest word gets out to their country of origin and we tend to suffer a great loss of foreign visitors and businesses... yes ?

I have travelled a fair bit to many parts of the world but have never been, in any country, subjected to produce my ID or passport by any cop or men in uniform when walking the streets of that strange land ! The only time I had to, where at entry/exit points....and I am dark skinned !

My stand on this RELA is resolute and final.. they are 'excess baggage' and MUST be disbanded for the sake of our beloved country !

*The hyena is a cunning and champion scavenger and is always on top of the food chain ! Don't bother asking it's relevance to this post !

Cheers !

Ahoy there Captain !!..... Cutty Sark's burning !!

Take a good look at this photo, folks...cos you'd never be able to see this ship...dubbed the "Ferrari of the open seas" and with so much of sea-faring history- here- and stories of life and death and mystries and secrets on-board and adventures in the high seas and even famous enough to have a whiskey branded after it, and docked here as a tourists' attraction in Greenwich, London.

Yesterday a fire destroyed this beauty and we will never see it in its original glory...I had that rare opportunity, on a very cold morning, back in 2005, to see this 138 years old clipper , together with my 2 favorite girls (pictured), up-close !
God bless Cutty Sark and thanks for the memories !

OK,Thank you. I have to catch a flight "!

"We are apologising to all women.OK. Thank you, I have to catch a flight"....with that Datuk Bung (or is it "Dung") Mokhtar Radin left, along with the other "close-one-eye" moron Datuk Mohd Said Yusof were both left off the hook and pardoned by our Women, Family and Community Development Minister Datuk Seri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil.(here)
And we the rest of the thinking, tax-paying citizenery are expected to forget, forgive and move on..is that it ??
Hellooooo....people, these two "morons-in-suits" have insulted my King, the PM,the DPM the Sultans and all other persons wives, mothers, sisters and daughters and Bung Mokhtar has the bleeding cheek to say that one line apology in a hurry or "half-baked apology" and everything is OK ??? Wake up people ! Has the PM said anything about sacking these two worms who , not for the first time, have attracted so much negative attention to themselves and they are still allowed into the 'august' house as if they are "wiras" ? Have't we got any pride left ??
I am insulted and ashamed that the Minister in question has accepted this apology....Noooo... they are not forgiven... if that was their text of apology..No way ! Sack them ! And they are still not sure if they had actually insulted Fong Po Kuan ?? Just because she is an Opposition does not make her a lesser woman...and if those ladies in the Parliament are not going to be supportive of Miss Fong and demand from these two vermins to apologise directly to her...then I too shall loose respect of them as these two have . Yes these two have not an iota of decency in them to have uttered those words and then playing to the gallery for publicity !!!
Here we are , represented by morons who, by their sheer position itself as elected parliamentarians, if wisely and sincerely played can help change our lives to betterment and upgrade our living standards.... but nooo.... in parliament they likened to talk like idiots, insult all human beings (read women and other races), dabble in corruption, arrogance personified and hijack businesses to cronnys and indulge in being racists, bigots and hippocrites.
Be sincere in your apology, you pathetic fools ! You deserve to be sacked and be stripped off of your new ill-gotten wealth thats made you so arrogant and stupid and to the rest of us , stop pretending and get real....I'm no saint but at least I won't die pretending or trying to be one...! Amen.

Dear Mr. Mayor, sir...

City Hall has allocated RM 21.5 million for 50 CCTV's and 225 "intergrated transport information system electronic display boards" (read here )
May I address this personal appeal to our good Mayor of Kuala Lumpur, Datuk Ab Hakim Borhan

Dear Sir,
With all due respect, don't you think, given the current snatch thieves, pick-pockets,sex fiends and other "mat rempit" crimes which are almost everyday recurrance in your city, surveillance on the city streets and public places like train and bus stations should be the top priority on your "to do" list ? Everyone should be assured of a safe and pleasant journey within your city's limits sir, most especially the tax-paying inner city-dwellers or commuters who come into the city and are dependant on the not too great public transport services provided, on a daily basis. Have you actually been on the ground, unannounced and without your entourage of escorts, to actually see and feel how it is, in all the corners of your city ?

Honestly sir, the crime rate in the city has entered to a new and appalling level. And if there is any relief for commuters in the city, you should double ...no triple the installation of CCTV's (hopefully in working condition !) at all stategic places and not just the tourist infested places, and please do stop wasting money on things like plastic tree trunks and monkey-cups (as that at the Dataran) and artificial waterfalls to impress the tourist and visitors who'd breeze in and leave after a few days.Indeed it is nice to see the many tiny lights-bulbs drapping the canopy of old trees along prominent streets for the night viewing pleasure of the many tourist here, and I'm not against all this beautification projects... but look Mr. Mayor sir, ..you forget....we live here !
And the point I'm raising here is , sir... We, the city-dwellers and commuters to the city, must feel safe and happy living and/or working here ! Simple as that ! Everyday crimes are commited and the perpetrators are getting brasher by the day in the absolute confidence and knowledge that they cannot be identified nor are there any police or security personel present. Why ?? Lack of funds ??Where are the CCTV recordings of crimes ? Or is it our "Malaysian" way to only impress the visitors...?Just walk into any police station and check the number of "daily crimes" reported and times(x) that by three...only a third actually make a police report of crimes that happen...most don't even bother to report because they know they will only be given the run-around by the powers that be and may end up banging their heads against the wall..eerrrhh.. artificial tree-trunk !!!
Good night Mr. Mayor and pleasant dreams .
Thank you.
Stephen Francis.

p.s. If you have the time sir, please read this 13 year olds' take on the same subject here .

Rogue's Gallery.

Take a good look at these three faces...you'd probably be seeing them more often on my blog from now on and as far as I'm concerned these three are jointly tops in my "rogue's gallery"( Introductions NOT needed ..read here !)
The one in the middle has still to answer the main-stream media (if permissible by the top...heh..heh...!) when he arrives home to Malaysia from the US (here) or has he already been secretly sneaked-in ???...and the two on both flanks.....just looking at the "close -one -eye" moron on the right, is funny enough(thanks to photo-shop!) while the other with the stupid smirk on the left (read here and zorro's take here) has got the "you and you.. can't touch me" look !
Am waiting for up-dates now.... and in the meantime get acquainted with these faces....folks ! Cheers !

"Happy Mother's Day "

'She showed the world that not all is lost, as there is hope yet... the humanitarian and advocate for the poor, dying, sick, orphaned and helpless'..! ( documentary and part from the book "Something Beautiful for God" by Malcolm Muggeridge )

And to all who have not spoken to your mother in a while...call her now and wish her "Happy Mother's Day"...and as John Lennon sings....."Mother you had me...but I never had you......." !

But seriously...... to the rest of you who have lost your mothers.....call your mother-in-law....!

"Mali....mali cepat beli....ada chip-sale "!

Oh dear, we have lost RM225 million in revenue between January 2000 to April 2007, due to the "pirated" sale of imitation goods sold in the country. Can you believe that...so laments ( surprised !) the Minister of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Datuk Mohd Shafie Apdal !!( here)

Now that you have read the link, for arguement's sake divide that amount by 5 or 25% and you get 45 or roughly RM45 million which has been shoved/pushed into/lined to grease somebody's hands to look the other way...and this I assume is the going percentage or "kopi duit" paid to authorities all over the country by the smugglers or their "taikos" to bring in the much sought-after contraband goods and encourage a hive of smuggling of goods (hence tax-unpaid_. Hey,... this is just a consevative figure !...but I'm sure you're doing some adding or subtracting in you head...right ? Or are you telling me the many ' Entry' and 'Exit' points in Malaysia are absolutely corrupt -free ?

As there is such a high tax on tobacco and liquer, it will still be cheaper to pay a fraction to the actual cost to bring them in and still reap huge profits...as based against the actual market price...right ? And here the good Minister is launching a campaign to "educate" traders and appeals for their cooperations in curbing this unhealthy activity !...he..he...he...(aiiya !!..it should read" the government servants manning the entry points to this country" lah....Mr. Minister !)

So all these years, we in Malaysia did not know of the 'contrabrand' trade in Petaling Street, or popularly known as PS Boutique, (blessings, face-lift and beautification of the entire street by city-hall ) notorious for selling very popular brand names in clothings, handbags, shoes along with VCD and DVD and not to mention classic watches ! And now cigerettes contribute more then 50% of the smuggled goods make-up....hellooooo Mr. Minister... 'wakey-wakey' from your deep slumber lah..( read my earlier post here lah !)

Don't...(with an astonished blink of the eye,).. say there is rampant sale of pirated goods being sold here in Malaysia NOW...it has always been here and we'd be bleeding pretenders and fakes ourselves if we continue to live in this mode of denial ! Stop it...stop pretending like this is news to you, Mr. Minister...you knew and we ALL know it....so lets just move on, okay....! afterall who benefits from all this corruption...hhuh ? if not the crooked trade-profiteers it would be some crony of the administration...no ?

Sit anywhere to eat in the country today and you'd have peddlers (mostly cheap-labour foreigners employed/engaged by local employers) approaching you to parade their wares..be it DVD'c, torchlights, hand-phones or pens..and business has been so good here in the Klang Valley that these 'businesses' even occupy up-market and expensive plazas and shop-lots to exihibit their wide range of contrabrand goods ! Ready market for the Middle Easterners, Europeans and heck..... the WORLD lah !

We should be listed in the Guinness Book of World Records under (dubious) records for the most number of pirated goods displayed under one roof- see Petaling Street ! Heh...heh...heh..how about that ? No more "Malaysia Boleh" ....it's.... "Malaysia Bangun-lah" !

Minister Apologises !

It is indeed good to know that there are people who have the decency to apologise when pressured by the demanding "little man-in -the-street"...one such case is a Minister, who was said to have uttered derogatory racial remarks on a dark-skinned Malaysian student of Indian origin, that she was of a 'lower class' as compared to another fairer-skinned student in the same room, to be of a 'higher class', in jest, at a lunch gathering organised by the Malaysian Consulate, last week in LA for about 40 Malaysian students !

Nevertheless, with increasing on-line demands and public out-cry, Jamaludin Jarjis has indeed regretted and apologised for his remarks, to one Ms. Sheena Moorthy ,the student he had offended in LA, a few days later in Boston, at a gathering of a few hundred Malaysian students(read Rocky's take here). For this JJ,... I say syabas !...although the damage has been done, and that's my view.
Well, just as we all know what it takes for a man to talk "macho", is sure takes a "real" man to admit to his mistakes and publicly offer his apology.....hmmmmm now.....closer to home...about those 'mistruths' that we read in the papers ( here ) and controlled by the powers that be....... I wonder when we can actually see the real man in Kalimullah ......sigh !

Sack the racist Minister !

This is the "towering" Malaysian and who is also the Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation Mr. Jamaludin Jarjis (or is it "Najis"?) who recently uttered derogatory remarks against all 'dark skinned' Malaysians of Indian origin and that too, in a land where every spoken word has to be "politically correct" ! Below I reproduce the letter from Malaysiakini, written by a Dr. Sheela Moorthy...and surf here too for more....!

Apology demanded from racist minister Dr Sheela Moorthy May 2, 07 2:52pm

I am a Malaysian currently living in the USA. I am supporting the education of my sister who is enrolled at CalPoly, California. The reason I am writing this letter is to express my disgust and anger regarding comments passed by the Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation Jamaludin Jarjis during a working visit to California recently. He was present at a gathering organised by the Malaysian Consulate for the students to meet him. The purpose of this meeting was for them to address any concerns or queries they had. Being away from home, we all know that we love to meet our fellow-countrymen regardless of what color or creed they may be. And being brought up in the true Malaysian way, we were thought to respect each other and look beyond the shallowness of skin color. This was not the case with our minister. He made several derogatory remarks about Indians in general, about how they were brought in as 'buruh kasar' and at one point asked my sister about how many Indians were in her batch of students. My sister answered him saying there were two of them. The other Indian student was fair-skinned and was actually sitting at the same table as the minister.
He did not realize that this student was also an Indian and went on saying that he must be a 'high class’ Indian and then pointed at my sister and said that she must be a ‘low class’ Indian as she was darker skinned. I am appalled that we have people like this sitting at the helm and trying to run a multi-racial country. I urge all Malaysian to stand together and voice out against weeds like this who give our country a bad image. I demand an apology from him and I want him to take responsibility for his words and I believe that malaysiakini is one of the venues to voice my dissatisfaction.

And with that ladies and gentlemen, after 50 years as an independent nation, all Malaysians, that means you too !... you decide what punishment, if indeed is necessary for a scum like this... !

Detained for 4 months in Brussels !

How helpful are our "servants of the government" attached in foreign missions if and when Malaysians land in trouble in a strange foreign land ? Zero, I say, going by the way our government servants are handling this rather unique case in Belgium. Go buy a copy and read or read here !

Do you think, if you were arrested by the police of a foreign government in a foreign country, our boys will come running and help you...think again, as these people will be too busy partying and having a holiday there, rather then moving their fat arse to help you! Remember the case of one such Malaysian, who some time ago flew from the Carribean to London to have his passport stamped but was then given the run around by incompetant government servants based in London, who would not lift a finger to help him despite the knowledge of his plight and his pleas to get things done right ? Always "belum jumpa fail", "belum dapat arahan" or "Pegawai pergi kursus/cuti/cuti beranak/cuti tahun/balik kampong" or "encik, balik lain minggu, boleh?"... and when you do come the next week, it is the same story again....thats the SOP of our government servants who are paid salaries by the tax-payers (i.e. you and I ) work, here and abroad !!

Back to this case , an officer (read government servant) in the Malaysian mission in Belgium, was alerted by the Belgium counter-parts of the arrest of this Malaysian lady only 2 weeks ago ( though she was arrested on 26th. December 2006) but the Malaysian mission did not bother to inform the family in Malaysia and only confessed to that news when a relative called the mission in Belgium last Friday after the victim sounding frantic and distraught herself called her nephew here in Malaysia. And to make matters worst, the Malaysian Embassy does not know the reason for the arrest...heh...heh...guess they forgot to ask !

"Tetap dan Berpencen", "Berkhidmat untuk Negara" and the ever popular "Malaysia Boleh" !!!

Be Grateful !

For a family who is in the brink of starvation and suicide comtempletations, my wish this Labour day cum Vesak day to all Malaysians is "Don't be too quick to judge but learn first to be grateful"...

Yes, I'm talking about the 'convieniently' forgotten ( if not for this paper- here ) and out-casted, unemployable Mynamar family whose lives took to an even more tragic turn and were themselves locked-up and subjected to endless hours of questioning by our famous"gestapo" styled police and separated from their own children, all because of being 'ignorant' !

We all took the 'moral high road' in being suspicious of the family's intentions and thus concured to mete out judgement of them being crooks, as opposed to our brag of being "caring Malaysians"! Not once did we stop to think otherwise....of course there were some with hearts ! But the rest of us flowed with the tide of being 'ungrateful'....and NOW the family has totally refused any form of help from Yin's family (both cash and food !) and had only one wish from Yin's family...that is...."the least they could have done was visited us when we were remanded for four days...it's not about the money...just giving us words of encouragement.......that would have been enough!!" ....and Yin's family had thousands of words of comfort from hundreds of "caring Malaysians" in their hour of gloom !!!!!!

As I choke on the Mynamar family's wishful words.... you go and have a "Happy Vesak Day and to my wife who today, two scores and three years ago, literally sent her mum into Labour".... happy birthday darling !
